We are traveling with four kids from the age of 6 to 14. My 11 year-old son is a total foodie and budding chef. The only thing he asked to do Italy was to take a cooking class to make pizza. This did not disappoint any of us. Sara is an incredible chef and was able to get all of my kids engaged and have a delicious product that really tasted as good as it looked. We definitely would do this again.

We wished we could have more contact preparing the food, measuring, cooking the pizza etc. wasn’t offered a drink, not even water until all the cooking was done..

Response from Host, Aug 2025

We're sorry to hear this, but honestly, it's quite surprising. Our guests actively take part in preparing and cooking the food, and drinks (including water) are always offered. We wish you'd mentioned this during the experience so we could have clarified or helped right away. Thanks for your feedback.

Social adventure that was amazing to bring together!

Too short

Anat_W, Jul 2025
Very short And what you eat is not the pizza you made. The pizza was very tasty, but the experience was disappointing.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the taste of the pizza, but we're sorry to hear the overall experience didn’t meet your expectations. We’re always working to improve, and your comments help us do that. We hope to have the chance to offer you a better experience next time.

Wonderful experience.

We loved learning to make pizza and tiramisu with Alessandra. It was a fun, hands-on and easy session. At the end, we joined the other guests to enjoy our pizzas and desserts, which tasted amazing. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and right in the heart of Rome at Piazza Navona.

Great Experience! :)

This was so much fun! Our chef was Sarah, and she did a great job teaching! It was nice to sit and do something interactive that didn't require walking lol highly recommend this for anyone wanting to do something different in Rome! And you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor and eat after! :)

Great Pasta/Great Class

Raul_Q, Feb 2025
Learning from Matt was fun, fast-paced, and exciting. The class was everything we expected it to be. We learned so much about the details of making different kinds of pasta. I wish I could say that I am good at this, but the reality is that I may need to attend several more classes to get close to Matt's level of experience (LOL). The location is right off Piazza Navona, which made it very attractive for us to spend the rest of the afternoon in one of our favorite piazzas. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about the intricacies of making pasta.

Great :-)

Great experience all round. Would highly recommend. Lovely place and amazing people. Brilliant for couples or families.

Great cooking class in a beautiful restaurant in Piazza Navona!

sueromeopiedfort, Jan 2025
This was a great experience for me traveling with my mother and (adult) daughter. I wasn’t really expecting to learn anything, just make pizza and drink wine. The restaurant was very nice and in a beautiful location in Piazza Navona. Sara was a very good teacher, explaining what we were doing and why. It was a great experience and our Napolitan style pizza’s and tiramisu were delicious!

Delicious and fun!

Best pizza!

Suzanne_K, Oct 2024
We had a great time learning to cook pizza and tiramisu! We made the tiramisu first because it had to be refrigerated for at least one hour. So by the time we finished making the pizza, the tiramisu was ready to eat. The pizza was the best I’ve ever had! The pizza was cooked in a beehive oven with wood. It was done in 5 minutes. Chef Simone made it look easy. He was very patient and helpful. I highly recommend this tour.

Try it; you'll love it!

Ronald_K, Jul 2024
It was our first time in Italy and our last night in Rome. We wanted to do something very Italian, so we chose this class, and we were very glad that we did! We loved the personal feel having shared this experience with only one other couple. The surprise champagne before the class and the limoncello at the end, along with graduation certificates, were very nice touches! Our chef was very good, and she had a great sense of humor, too, which made the class fun!

Good time just wish it were a tad more hands on

OliviaCatherine, Jun 2024
Really fun. I wish we did a little more hands on- for example, the woman scooped the sugar for us, scooped the egg whites, added the measurements, etc and we only did some of the steps. Overall delicious and fun 4/5

A memory to last forever

Leann_S, Jun 2024
Simone our Chef was fantastic. The pace of the whole experience was long and relaxing. The food and wine were delicious and the end of limoncello was a perfect way to start our trip in Rome. Highly recommend.

Not worth the money

David_G, May 2024
Chef seemed to be in a rush. Didn’t let cook by ourselves. Once the pizza dough was mostly completed, he said it had to rise in the refrigerator for 8 hours, so they gave us there pizza dough. When showing how to stretch the dough, the restaurant pizza chef didn’t like how we were doing it, so he took over and did them himself. He then cooked the pizza. Some were burnt some were not cooked well. The chef that was instructing us left half way through our meal, and it seems the restaurant didn’t care for our group anymore. Took a very long time before we were served the tiramisu. All in all a waste of money and time.

Response from Host, May 2024

David, thank you for your feedback, though it feels like this review has issues with everything, even the skies in Rome. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy our experiences, but all our other guests' reviews prove that this experience is great. I'm happy to clear the skies in everything you mentioned, as I do not feel like we deserved that 1*: 1. We repeatedly say, even the chef told you, that the reason why you can't cook your own dough is because it has to rest otherwise it's not going to be good quality and that would've been the reason for the review then... 2. It is a wooden oven. Find in Rome's city center a maximum of 10 of them. It's not rotating, it's a traditional oven, so obviously the pizzas that are inside will be burned a bit more than those outside. I'm sure though that they were all edible, otherwise, you could've asked the restaurant on-site to change them. 3. The pizzaiolo took over from you as he's paid to HELP you, and also he's the only one who can touch a wooden oven, as for safety reasons obviously we wouldn't let guests close to the fire... 4. The chefs should and would not sit down with the guests who are there to eat. You should pay them another 15 euros for the extra hour. It's not part of their job. 5. The restaurant takes care of every guest. It was lunchtime, and they had lots of guests apart this table, and they tried their best to serve everybody. This experience is not meant to be rushed, so while you had to wait for the tiramisu, you could chat with other guests, connect, get to know people, and have a glass of wine that was included in the price (otherwise would come as 10 euros) 6. Waste of money you say. If you go sit at this specific restaurant in the heart of Rome, in the middle of Piazza Navona a pizza is EUR 20, a Tiramisu is EUR 12, a glass of wine is EUR 10, a bottle water is 4 euros, and a glass of limoncello is another 8 euros. + only for eating all these things you had it's already hitting the price of the cooking class. + add the chef's pay. You paid the same as for a meal with all these included, but instead, you received a 1.5 hour workshop experience on top. If this didn't please you, we are sorry, but we don't think this would be our fault. Thank you for coming!

Fun

Amy_H, May 2024
Lisa was our chef and she was wonderful! We had a nice time and the best part was that we received online recipes for dishes that were not on our agenda. So not only do we have the recipes we made but also pasta dishes as well. I’m looking forward to trying them all.

A culinary highlight

Nadine_Y, Apr 2024
Of all the beautiful and fun things we did in Rome, this might have been the highlight. Brilliant for kids and adults (we were with a 14 and 11 year old), we all voted it the most fun thing we did. Daniel was a great chef and made sure the pizzas and tiramisu were delicious!

5 out of 5!

Zachery_M, Apr 2024
The class instructor was exceptionally well-informed, amiable, and engaging to converse with. The staff demonstrated professionalism and enthusiasm throughout. The instructions were concise and thoroughly explained. Interacting with the other four participants was pleasant. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend this cooking class for anyone visiting Rome.
