We had a great drive and experience with Stefano. He gave us some history of Rome and the Umbrian region. We loved seeing Civita and Orvieto, we wish we had more time to see Orvieto and the underground but we knew it would be a quick day trip. Highly recommend Stefano for any day trip around Rome!

This tour takes you to two places that will stay in your imagination for a long time: Civita de Bagnoregio and Orvieto. The drive alone through the Umbrian countryside will be inspiring. Civita, the floating city, will take your breath away at first sight, as will the massive glowing Duomo of Orvietto. My guide/driver, Paolo, was wonderful. I cannot imagine a better gentleman to have for the excursion.

Had a relaxing day visiting these sites. Our driver picked us up and was extremely nice and accommodating. Bear in mind, the walk to and from Bagnoregio is not a walk in the park. It is doable but going up hill and down hill left us breathless so take your time and wear good shoes. Our guide then took us to Orvieto. We took his advice on a restaurant and it has been our favorite meal the whole trip. All in all we had a great day and was nice to get out of the crowds of Rome.

Our driver, Lorenzo, was amazing. He was a pleasure to talk to and spoke English very well. We appreciated the pick-up and drop-off right outside our Airbnb in Rome. The SUV was very spacious and comfortable, and complementary water was provided. Civita di Bagnoregio is a hidden gem that we are so glad we got to visit during our trip to Italy. A charming hilltop town with breathtaking views of the countryside of Lazio and Umbria. Orvieto was also charming. The ornate church in the piazza is the main attraction. If you want an amazing lunch, go to Martinelli's (our driver recommended it, and made a reservation for us). Five stars plus!!!

Go! Do it!
Orvieto was beautiful, but a bit more populated than expected. We spent about two hours in Orvieto as part of this tour. We didn't take the finicular, but that is an experience in its own right. Climb the tower (or take the elevator) - it's worth it. Buy something from the open air market where most of the vendors we encountered spoke Italian only. We had no idea what our yummy looking snack was when we purchased! We were hoping to do the Underground tour when we were there, but the tour time did not coincide with the rest of our plans. If you want to do the Underground when you are there, plan for it, BUT whatever you do, don't skimp on your time in Civita! We have never seen anything like this cliff hanging, house eroding, and heart exploding (walk that bridge!!!) place! While there isn't much to see while at the clifftop Civita village, the views are incredible, and the quaint beauty will mesmerize you. Our private driver, Livio, was awesome as he made some suggestions, was there when and where he said he would be, and was a great conversationalist. He said many locals go to Orvieto for Date Night, a romantic get away day! We asked a lot of touristy type questions to which Livio responded with pride and you could tell he loved Rome.

Paolo was amazing. Please make sure you’re in shape for Civita since it’s a lot of walking uphill in extreme heat. Both towns were excellent.

A perfect day trip out of Rome and into the gorgeous countryside of Umbria. Bagnoregio is like Brigadoon - an enchanted island in the sky. Orvieto is an amazing, friendly, beautiful city. Leave enough time for lunch and shopping! Our guide was Livio -funny, knowledgeable, accommodating, and punctual!

Loved this adventure. Livio our driver was very informative of the areas. Made lunch reservations for us and was a pleasure. Both Ovieto and Bagnoregio were very interesting to visit. The driver did not tour the towns with us but did give us a background story of their origins.

Great day tour outside of the hustle and bustle of Rome with convenience. The two towns Civita and Orvieto are both amazingly beautiful. Civita is only accessible by foot via a safe bridge so wear comfortable shoes for a little walking but definitely worth it!
My driver Alex Paolini, was very knowledgeable and caring. Happily sharing interesting information about Italy and the places along the way. The drive is scenic and Alex is a very safe driver. He made sure I was comfortable and helped me find a restaurant because most places were closed during my visit. He also takes some beautiful pictures. And when he picked me up he had a little welcome gift for me.

Tour was exactly as decribed.
Our driver, Giuliano, was excellent. He was very interesting and he made the trip quite enjoyable. He recommended a great family restaurant in Orvieto, where we had lunch. His understanding of the locale was both informative and insightful. Great communication skills. We will ask for Giuliano on our next trip to Rome.
Both Civitas Bagnoregio and Orvieto were very interesting and historic in nature. Well worth the visit.

We loved seeing Civita from a distance with the walking bridge. The town is beautiful snd well worth the drive. Orvieto is also spectacular when driving towards it and the Duomo is gorgeous. Our driver Paulo was very punctual and friendly and would recommend him.

Livio was an outstanding guide. He was very informative, helpful, and patient with us. He gave us a fantastic restaurant recommendation for lunch (and made reservations for us) and even helped us Americans with our very rudimentary Italian. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. One word of caution: Civita is a city in the sky that is only accessible by a (sturdy) footbridge that’s about a half mile long and VERY steep. It’s a challenge, but it can be done if you take your time (and take short breaks).

The two tour sites of Civita de Bagnoregio and Orvieto were both beautiful, historic sites to visit. Our driver, Paolo, was truly excellent, providing us with a safe and pleasant ride, much information about many topics related to Umbria and other areas of Italy, bottled waters for the day, and lunch reservations in Orvieto. He made sure we had all the information we needed to visit the various sites, and gave clear instructions on where and when to meet him to proceed to the next place. He arrived right on time in the morning and we arrived close to the expected time back to our hotel in the evening. We had a perfect day thanks to Paolo!

This trip was fantastic so great to get out in the country away from the busy Rome centre. Alex was great as my driver showing me some landmarks along the way - hazelnut farms. Civita is amazing long walk uphill but we’ll worth it. Orvieto Chuch is so beautiful but if you want to go inside prebook your tickets

Visiting Orvieto and Civita Di Bagnoregio is one worth the visit with each village have their own unique beauty. Civita di Bagnoregio is accessible via a footbridge with a steep incline but with spectacular views and Orvieto has this stunning duomo, unique shops and our best porchetta sandwich at L’Oste del Re. The driver Livio is personable and knowledgeable that he made the drive quite pleasant! One of our best trips outside of Rome!

Living was our driver for this private excursion, and he was excellent. We visited several sites Livio recommended in Orvieto and still had time to walk and explore on our own. Living also made reservations for us to have a nice lunch at a local restaurant. Civita was surreal and so very interesting. We explored on our own, again with plenty of time to see all we wanted. The drive back to our lodging was easy, despite the traffic. We enjoyed the day and also talking to our driver about other Italy's foid and other sites. Great day!

Civita di Bagnoregio et Orvieto sont des places uniques et qui valent la peine d'être visité. Il y a tres peu de touristes et ce sont deux endroit unique. Paolo, notre conducteur, etait tres sympathique, ponctuelle et a su répondre a nos questions tout au long du trajet. Il nous a demandé si nous désirions qu'il réserve un restaurant pour le diner. Ce a quoi nous n'avions pas pensé. Le restaurant était excellent et avec quelques dégustation de produits locaux. Je donne un 5 étoiles a Paolo. Pour nous le prix vaux l'excursion et le service reçu. Le seul bémol est que je n'ai jamais été capable de rejoindre le fournisseurs. Nous avons même essayer au travers de Viator mais sans succès. J'aurais aimer savoir vers quelle heures nous étions pour etre a Orvieto pour ceduler le "underground" tour. Due a ce manque de communication, nous avons dû renoncer a visiter cette partie de Orvieto.
