Massimo, our tour guide, was funny and engaging with just the right pacing. Lots of interesting stories of ancient Roman figures and their intriguing lives. Would highly recommend.

A great tour with masterful storytellling

This tour was awesome. Massimo is a master storyteller who brought the Roman Emperors and their families to life, all while strolling through the Roman streets to sites that tied back to his intriguing stories. My son said it was the best tour we’d been on and I agree.

This was a very interesting and fun tour. The guide was extremely entertaining and the stories were informative but funny. Definitely would recommend to others visiting Rome who are interested in the history of caesar and his family!

Good fun

Massimo is a wonderful storyteller. He contacted us before the tour and informed us to keep warm as it will be cold at night. He tells us interesting stories with zest. Love the energy.

An essential for your stay in Rome

This was an amazing tour. Massimo has so much knowledge and made the tour engaging and fun throughout. We did a number of tours during our stay in Rome and this was by far the best. The tour was also incredible value for money in comparison to some of the other tours we have been on. I would strongly recommend this tour in an evening during your stay

Outstanding and informative tour!

Massimo is an excellent guide and story teller! We have been to Rome several times, but Massimo showed us things we did not know existed. His enthusiasm about Roman history is contagious. This tour is not merely a mundane recitation of names and dates, but the personal and human side of history came to life as Massimo shared stories about these five Roman Emperors. Even though times are difficult for tour guides in Rome right now, we appreciated that Massimo still conducted the tour for just the two of us. Finding the meeting point was easy because he sent directions and a photo of where to meet. Highly recommend this tour when in Rome!

Massimo never disappoints! This year, we took our daughter and son-in-law to Rome, pointing out that we would have a guide for a couple of walking tours. After about 15 minutes with Massimo on his "emperor's tour" and they were totally locked in. This is a great evening outing that offers unique insights of the first 200 years of Rome AD. It's not to be missed, a great companion to many of the more popular, but crowded outings. We loved it.
