This tour is a MUST. My guide was so knowledgable and professional and was so kind to give me a recommendation for a local handmade leather store, which I ended up getting my big duffel bag I was looking for! I took myself to Italy for my birthday and I highly recommend this tour. The history of Rome is just insanely interesting to me that all these thousands of years later the remnants of the city are still there, and people with iPhones and lip filler are living above layers of literal history.

Meeting place was changed 12 minutes prior to the start and we missed the text. We then tried to contact the guide to attempt to meet at the second venue but after numerous attempts and no contact from the guide we missed the whole tour. We are requesting a refund. The tour company, not Viator, said that the meeting place had not changed and was always at the Pantheon, yet their guide contacted us that there was a change - very disappointed and frustrated.

This is an amazing tour. You can escape the crowds and go back in time. Sabrina is very knowledgeable and brings ancient Rome to life.

Enjoyed this tour, the underground part was very interesting. Trevi Fountain was just too crowed to really see. The Pantheon was something every visitor to Rome should see. The guide was informative and pleasant and never rushed us, we only had four people on this tour. Good value and great tour.

I was really looking forward to this tour and seeing the underground of Rome and the Pantheon without the hassle of dealing with securing tickets and finding the locations. Upon arrival the tour company told my daughter she would need to go buy a scarf from one of the vendors or she wouldn’t be allowed in the Pantheon as her knees were showing. We were grateful for the advice and went off to buy a scarf, however when we got to the pantheon later in the tour, no coverings were needed and visitors were entering with shoulders and knees uncovered. I contacted the company after the tour to address this and they simply said sorry, they were trying to make sure things ran smoothly. The guide was kind and very knowledgeable, gave us time for photos at the pantheon and showed us a nice secret photo spot at the trevi fountain, but was dry in the delivery of information. Two in our tour group left before the tour was over. You’d be better off booking these underground locations directly, or with another tour company.

We’d like to clarify that the Pantheon is an active place of worship, and while dress code enforcement can vary day by day, we always inform our guests to dress modestly — covering shoulders and knees — in order to minimize the risk of being denied entry. Our staff acted out of caution to ensure your access would not be disrupted, which unfortunately can’t always be predicted on-site.

Our was cancelled less than an hour before start and was on the way to meeting point got there and no one showed up and told it was a computer error even after getting reminder on both the two days prior

This was a decent grouping of different sights lumped into one tour. Unfortunately, we were unable to go inside the Pantheon on this particular day. The rest of the locations were interesting, but the need for a tour guide was less important for navigating around other tourists, since we were unable to visit the Pantheon interior. I don’t feel we got as much insight into the locations as we had on other tours.

Sabrina was an excellent tour guide - she was knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about her subject. She guided us expertly around the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Stadium Domiziano, Trevi Fountain and the underground aqueduct, and answered all of our questions about what we were seeing and the broader historical and social context. The tour arrangements were very smooth, with text contact from the tour operator to confirm the arrangements on the morning. I'd happily book further tours from this operator.

I have been to Rome many times and this was the first time I toured underground. It was fascinating and Sabrina taught us an incredible amount regarding Roman. History and waterworks and the stadium under Piazza Navona. We also toured the pantheon together, and her breath and depth of knowledge was impressive. Apart from this, she taught us a lot about Italian culture. Best guide and best tour ever. I highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Amanda, was the best guide we've had yet on any tours of the trip. She was very knowledgeable and communicated a lot of detail in an interesting sometimes cheeky way.
While there's mot an extensive amount to see at either of the underground stops, both are interesting and a bit different, not to mention away from the crazy crowds above.
We enjoyed it very much.

Maria was our guide. Great tour of under Rome. The reality of how very ancient this city is comes to life with this tour. To see the actual water source of Trevi fountain was very special. We paced our tour to match our small group. Highly recommend

This was a unique tour. We happened to book it on a Sunday when many places are typically closed. It also happened to be raining that day, so this was perfect since many places we stopped at were indoors. Seeing different aspects of ancient Rome underground really tied things together. A downside was that the Pantheon was free admission on the 1st Sunday each month, so the line was long & our tour guide decided to skip it. She said for us to visit it on our after the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend her & this tour.

This was a great chance to go to some out of the way places and learn some cool stuff about the workings of Ancient Rome. Guide was great, very informative but not drowning us in information, while ready and happy to discuss details from engineering considerations to art. Definitely worth doing!
