Terrific for both kids...

Lorna_L, Oct 2025
Terrific for both kids and adults! Learned a lot! Would recommend to others especially traveling with kids.

Not worth it

Anya_I, Jun 2025
We weren’t notified that you need to being IDs with you - thankfully we accidentally had our drivers licenses. It would have been good to know what to bring! The tour wasn’t engaging or informative. The story telling wasn’t done from the gladiator’s perspective, as described on the app. The one good thing is that tickets were included and we didn’t have to stand in line. Otherwise - a total waste of time and money.

Dear Anya - thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts about the Colosseum Gladiator Kids Tour: A Family Experience. Regarding the requirement for IDs, we completely understand how frustrating it can be to feel unprepared for an important detail. This requirement, implemented by the organization managing access to the Colosseum, has been in place for a couple of years now, and we’ve made every effort to ensure it is clearly stated on the product description page online. As for the tour experience itself, we’re disappointed to learn that the storytelling and approach didn’t fully meet the level of engagement you were hoping for. Our aim is always to deliver enriching and captivating experiences, especially for families. Please rest assured that your feedback will be shared with the guide, as we’re constantly striving to refine and improve our tours based on our guests’ comments. We’re glad, however, that you appreciated the convenience of skipping the lines with the included tickets, and we sincerely hope that this aspect at least made your visit a bit smoother. Warm regards, Gray Line Rome

don't loose your time

Ewa_W, Jun 2023
This is first not 5 star review I give an experience in viator. We did many of them in several countries with our kids and they loved all of what we booked.. Its unfortunate that this really bad experience was in a great place like coloseum. I booked a kids gladiator tour that was cancelled a day before and the company offered us another our saying that although its not kids dedicated the content will be adjusted to all needs. The guide was very nice but hang on every detail and stone - not sharing a big picture at all. There was no fast track, the lady had zero control over what she wanted to do, getting into the line before another group, being kicked out by them, looking for another space, and every time she had no idea- she went back to her booklet with more details. In a tour where she had probably 5 or 6 kids under 10- she mentioned how women had to be virgins, what happened when they had sex with the man and other thing that I don't think were appropriate. After this- I stopped pushing my kids to listen to her. We loved coloseum after the tour was over, I wish we would do it just with regular tickets. Forget the money, don't loose your time.

Dear customer, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate your honest feedback and apologize for the disappointing experience you had with the Gladiator Tour for kids in the Colosseum. We understand how important it is for children to have an enjoyable and educational experience during such tours. It is unfortunate that the original tour was canceled, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We strive to provide suitable alternatives in such situations, and we regret that the adjusted tour did not meet your expectations. We apologize if the guide's focus on minute details prevented you from getting a broader perspective of the Colosseum. Our guides are usually knowledgeable and provide a balanced mix of information, ensuring both the big picture and the intricate details are covered. We apologize if this was not the case during your tour. We are also sorry for any inappropriate content that was shared during the tour, we're sure that was not the intention of your guide. But of course we think it is essential that our guides maintain a respectful and age-appropriate approach, especially when dealing with young children. We will address this matter with the guide and take appropriate action to ensure it does not happen again in the future. We're glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed the Colosseum once the tour was over. We understand your frustration and regret that the overall experience did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our services. Best regards, Gray Line Rome
