If you choose to go to the Borghese Gallery, make sure you pick the right tour. This tour would’ve been wonderful for people who embraced learning about the history of the artist, as well as the art itself. it was not for the casual museum visitor. We spent almost 25 minutes in front of the first statue. Our guide’s English proficiency was not sufficient in my opinion, and I had a hard time understanding her.

The gallery itself was amazing but not so much with our tour guide. We had to go back and forth and the ear set was not in a good condition. The only reason we booked this tour was tickets were all sold out.

Great explanation of the museum and good coverage. The tour guide was excellent! Her knowledge was incredible and did not have a problem expanding what was covered in the tour. I asked her about Bernini’s father and she showed me a statue he made that was in the main room of the museum. A nice treat!

Guide snd the Galleria were excellent, but changed the tour time to an hour later and we didnt get a message to that regard. But the tour was excellent!!

Just buy tickets and do a self tour. We arrived at 2:45 PM for a 3:00 PM semi-private tour. Tour guide was disorganized and part of a group was running late with two there and two supposedly in a cab. Guide made the rest of us wait until 3:15 to finally go into the museum. 30 mins standing outside in the sun. When we finally did get started it was disorganized and slow. After standing for so long we only made it through a quarter of the tour and left after finishing on our own.

You only get 2 hours here. Definitely worth having a tour. Our guide knew what to take us to including the secret garden. We felt like we were being rushed around but we managed to see everything memorable/important with only just enough time to spare. It must be noted that all bags/drinks etc need to be handed into the cloakroom attendant but that is free to use.

It is hard to express how perfect our tour was. Our guide Eviss was informative without being boring. Her insight made the exhibit come to life. Without her the museum would have been just a bunch of stuff. Highly recommend this tour.
