Order a van so we could carry our luggage and so we can have plenty of room to sit. Instead we got a small car that couldn’t hold all our luggage plus the 3 of us had to squeeze in the back set

Our transfer below did not show up at the airport yesterday. We looked and waited for at least 45 minutes. No one called us or wrote us. We tried to call the company. No answer. We were not happy. I now wonder if the same thing will happen next week for our wine tour booked with your company from Sienna. I expect that you will provide a full reimbursement of the cost of the airport transfer.

Racist/Terrible Attitude

The woman driver was AWFUL! I ordered 2 cars with separate reservations. The lady told me I was lying and gave me the worse attitude. She said she was the only driver for the company. She then said hold on and had us waiting for 20 minutes. When I asked her what was happening she said she doesn’t know. About 10 minutes later another driver came with a sign with my name on it and they spoke and laughed. I personally believe this woman was so terrible because she saw a group of 14 black people because she was extremely pleasant with everyone else who was not black.

Short review: With all of the airline cancellations and delays, just get a taxi. It is cheaper and more flexible. Long review: This was our first trip back to Europe in years. My wife and I decided it would be easier to arrange for airport transportation ahead of time. When we were just outside of the 24 hour window to cancel, our flight was delayed by airline issues. I sent a message to the operator asking to change our pick-up to our new time later the same day and was told: “I’m sorry, isn’t possible reschedule for this afternoon.” I contracted Viator support and no help was given. Okay fine, you can take my money; however, I get to voice my frustration and educate others… We arrived later that afternoon. After getting our bags, we easily grabbed a taxi. Our taxi driver was amazing! He was friendly/ professional and dropped us off at our hotel for less than half the cost of this service… as I said above, just get a taxi.

Although there was little precoordinatkon, I had a text upon arrival and our driver was waiting at the meeting area before we got there, It was a large Mercedes luxury van- plenty of room for our family of 5 and luggage.

No one showed up at our hotel Hiberia to transfer us to the airport. We previously confirmed that the transfer was for hotel to the airport and Mr. Geadino messaged us that we would be picked up at the hotel. Our flight was for 1pm, we waited until 9:30 am then asked hotel to provide the transfer to get us to the airport in order to allow 3 hours before departure. We texted several times asking to confirm pick up time. No response. We request a full refund from Viator for not providing the transfer from hotel to the airport.

Our flight looked delayed so I was concerned they would not pick us up. I emailed and they reassured me all would be well. I did not fully believe them. The opposite happened with our plane and it was early. So I had some slight anxiety that they would not be there waiting on us. The worry was unnecessary. They had a sign waiting for us. His english was not very good, although we did not care because he was friendly.

Non-Existent Follow-Up

I dropped my wallet in the car and made multiple attempts over a week to get in touch with the company. The phone numbers they provided were not in service and they never responded to any of my emails. Should have been a redflag when the service provider took days to respond to my initial clarification requests. There are plenty of easy transportation services in Rome; take someone else.

Not Worth the Price due to Walk to Parking Lot

The driver and car were good. However, we had to walked 5-10 minutes from airport exit to parking lot. This was unacceptable. If I wanted to walk that long I would had booked an uber. I booked private transport to get in and out airport quick without a long wait. If I had taken a taxi I would have got of airport faster and without walking that much. I was expecting to be able to be pick up at the airport curve without walking to parking lot to board Van.

Chaotic airport experience as there are 100’s of transporters. Not fault of driver, just be aware. Once we found driver, he helped with luggage but walked away fast making following him thru crowds difficult. Not very friendly when attempting conversation
