Very informative, full of history and beautiful artwork. Our guides were very passionate and provided us with a great experience. Do expect lots of walking and there are plenty of places to refill water bottles

The tour of the Colosseum, Foro Romano and Palatine Hill was amazing, the guide made it fun and entertaining really enjoyed this part of the tour. The part with the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chappell was way too long and detailed felt more like a lecture than an entertaining tour. Other groups were passing us by as they were moving at a much better pace. Our tour guide made us loose interest in the first half an hour. It took us an hour and a half to get to the entrance of the Vatican museums which is the first part of the tour in Vatican City. It seemed disorganized and it took a lot away from the experience.

Worst coordinated tour of my 59 year life. Meeting spot changed THREE times, including the morning of the tour. I reached out WEEKS before my tour and got ZERO response from the tour company so I escalated to Viator. It was Viator who told me they responded via WhatsApp (which I haven’t used IN YEARS for international travel!). I would never have looked over there for information I was requesting through an app.
Even after receiving 100% confirmation of meeting point from the tour provider the day before the tour. I was literally told to ignore any other addresses provided by the app…. They changed the address AGAIN. Had I listened, I would have missed the first part of this tour.
Colosseum guide was a rambler. She was nice enough but we were told that the tour was 2.5 hours, to give us ample time to get to the Vatican City tour. After 3.25 hours and we NEVER got to Roman Forum part of the tour, we left so we had time for lunch before our Vatican City tour, which was FABULOUS! David is the only reason I did not rate this tour a 1!
David did an amazing tour of the Vatican museums and Sistine chapel. He even went above and beyond to make sure we knew how to get to the St Peter’s Basilica and told us which door to go through (which is only open for the Jubilee year).
David was an amazing credit to this tour experience, but I believe someone said he doesn’t work for this specific tour company (which would make sense, given how GREAT he was compared to our overall experience with this tour company).

All in all this was a good tour experience. I received several email correspondences prior to the tour one in which was to change the time of the tour. The meeting up could have been better organized as there was a lot of confusion. The head sets were much appreciated to hear the tour guides. It was great not to have to wait in line to enter the exhibits. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and kept the group together despite the business around us. The Colosseum and the Vatican are must see tours.

We started off trying to find our tour group with every other tour group with about 200-300 people. Our tour had started while we were trying to check in even though we were early. Had to jog up to the group. The “skip the line” really is not 100% true - the group tours wait in line to go through security but the tour guide was sharing facts about the colosseum throughout the wait which made it worth it. The tour itself was great - our guide had some great facts. The walk to the forum was a bit of a hike but well worth it. There was about 3 hours between the colosseum and the Vatican which was enough time for gelato and lunch. The Vatican tour guide was amazing - she explained all the important figures of the Sistine chapel beforehand. The Vatican itself was quite cramped and crowded but it was high season when we went. Overall a very comprehensive tour for a first trip to Rome.

The tour of the Coleseum is amazing... Our guide was very engaging and knowledgable and was certainly proud of his Roman ancestry... As good as he was at the Colesseum our guide at the Vatican City was superb... Her knowledge and familiarity with the inner workings of the Vatican City ensured we were pushed to front of lines and also allowed us access to places that most could not get to... The highlight though was not necessarily the Sistine Chapel (which is impressive) but the Cathedral of St Peters Basilica which is truly amazing.

Our guide was not very good. He frequently made things up to embellish his stories. He significantly downplayed the darker parts of ancient Roman society, instead giving a highly romanticized version of history. He also pushed climate change denier conspiracy theories. Idk, other guides might be better.

We were never able to tour the colosseum. The "meeting point" listed on our tickets was for the Sistine Chapel portion of the tour. However, we didn't know this as it just stated "meeting point." Upon arriving early at the designated "meeting spot" we were told that we wre at the wrong location and needed to get a cab and travel across town for to the colosseum meeting spot. We were told they would call and say that we were on the way. Unfortunately, after having the taxi get us in the general vicinity we had an extraordinarily difficult time finding the office which then had a sign on the door sending us to another meeting spot. Obviously we missed the tour, the call was never made saying that we were on the way, and the young women we tried to get to help us was less than understanding and insulting at times. She did eventually find us tour for the following day but we were flying out the next day and could not make that. The Sistine Chapel portion of the tour was very informative and it was beautiful to view. However, we were very disappointed that we couldn't attend the colosseum tour. I do believe this was a viator issue versus the tour company as they misrepresented the meeting point. I will be reaching out to see if we can receive a partial refund due to this experience. Honestly, I would just buy skip the line tours once you arrive in the city.

Being two of the most iconic sites in Rome, my wife and I decided to have a tour rather than just it ourselves. The day is split into two - with the first half being at the Vatican and the second a Colosseum/ Roman Forum. You only have an hour to get between sites, I would recommend getting a taxi between sites to maximize the time for lunch and travel.
We had a different guide for each attraction.
Both guides that we had were incredible (Renata and Diego). They were knowledgeable and could answer any question put to them.
The skip the line tickets are definitely worth it - the last thing that you want to be doing is wasting hour in line rather than enjoying landmarks. Some guests struggled a bit with the walking and steps - unfortunately, this is unavoidable given the landmarks in question.
I would 100% recommend this tour for anyone wanting to make the most of a day in Rome!

I enjoyed how knowledgeable both of my tour guides were for both the Vatican tour and Colosseum tour but overall it was too much. We saw a lot but even with the break in between the two tours it was a lot to do in one day. Once you leave the Colosseum you continue on to the Palatine Forum but at this point in the day I was exhausted and could barely keep up with the tour. All in all a good tour where you can fit in a lot but probably too much for one day.

we were in italy for a girls' trip. the positives of this tour: vatican tour (informative, well paced, engaging guide); negatives: it was very difficult to find the meeting place for the 2nd part colosseum tour, guide although very knowledgeable spoke in a such a soft voice that it was very difficult to hear and understand him and the tour of the roman forum was much much longer than it needed to be.

The Vatican tour was exceptional with a knowledgable guide who took time to speak to us and made the most of the time allowed. We were a very small group (4) which allowed for a very personal experience. Only criticism was that our start was changed the night before for a later time which didn’t give us long to grab some food before the colosseum. Again a good guide who spoke with passion and knowledge

We used the same company for our Vatican and colosseum/forum/palatine tour. Sergio was an excellent tour coordinator. Rescheduled our tour when the colosseum closed the forum. Do not wait in line for this tour! Guide had great history at every stop. Had a thunderstorm at Palatine hill but only enhanced the beautiful marble. Walked right in at each site. Highly recommend.
