Explore one of Maine’s most picturesque boating destinations—and enjoy a more up-close experience of the sights than most other tours offer—on this excursion by rigid inflatable boat. Departing straight from the marina, you’ll set off into the bay with just a small group for company. There is a paid parking lot located at the very end of Thames St. and between the parking lot and Fore Points Marina there are blue picnic tables and a 'tour' flag. This is our meeting point and a crew member will meet you there 15 minutes prior to the tour.

My family and I loved the tour. The boat is very different than the other tour boats that I saw, it is much lower to the water and faster. If you like excitement then it is perfect! It was also nice to see the different islands in Casco Bay and learn some history about the area. I would recommend the tour for anyone who would like a bit more speed than a normal boat tour offers.

It is a thrilling ride around the bay. We had 13 people in our group that loved the ride. Definitely a highlight of Portland.

Highly recommend this tour! Our Captain and Tour Guide (Sydney) were absolutely spectacular and made this excursion so much FUN in addition to educational. It was the 4th of July and we had an unexpected private tour as we were the only people to book that particular time. Lucky us! Sydney and the Captain were very informative and able to answer all follow-up questions we had. They were always on the lookout for wildlife and far exceeded our expectations. In addition to the lighthouses and forts on this tour, they located several pods of breaching porpoises, a soaring eagle, nesting eagles, 2 different types of seals and so much more. They offered binoculars so we could get an up close and personal look at the resting seals and were willing to spend as much time at each site as we wanted. Teens loved the faster speed of this boat as compared to our traditional sailing tour and the Captain even accommodated their requests to go faster and doughnuts. Awesome trip! Thank you both so much for a great family day. We will be back!

Stayed dry; saw a bald eagle, grey seals, Harbour seals, Harbour dolphins, and lots of beautiful scenery. A great way to see Portland and a few of the many surrounding islands. Plus lots of interesting information about the area.

What a fantastic way to see the spectacular islands and shoreline of Casco Bay. Our group of 4 adults had an excellent time. Stayed dry throughout, and the speed was exhilarating. We were able to see seals and porpoises during our trip. Our guides and captain were excellent!

Captain John and Wes were incredible! We booked this last minute and had an absolute blast. This tour beats taking a giant ferry around Casco Bay. If you’re an adrenaline junkie, you will love it!
The wind was whipping but we felt safe.
Wes and John were super entertaining and shared fun facts about all of the islands and lights houses in the area.
We had such a blast! It was 70 degrees and overcast. We wore sweatshirts, shorts and sneakers and we were fine. You do get a little wet but the captains offered rain gear.
