We did the 10:30 pm tour and Brendan was our guide. He was 10/10. You could tell he loves his job- fun and enthusiastic. Great story-teller. Unfortunately having to navigate around homeless people the entire tour distracted from the experience. We constantly had to be aware of who was walking towards us or screaming at each other behind us. There were some who had dogs aggressively barking at passersby. I understand the tour is in the old town area because of the history there but the city really needs to get a grasp on the homeless situation in that area. The people in that area eem to be accustomed to it but for someone from out of town, it's pretty shocking. The entirety of people we crossed paths with were drugged out and in bad shape. Some approached asking for money and others were arguing or shouting. Didn't feel safe at all and we were constantly checking to see who was walking behind us. I hate to leave a bad review because Brendan was such a great guy but feel like other people should know that safety is a concern. I could tell he was trying to route us around the worst of it. I suggest taking the earlier tour and be in a bigger group and I suggest carrying pepper spray at the very least.

This was an awesome experience all around. Compliments to the host (I am so bad with names, sorry). She was phenomenal. Easy to listen to, knowledgeable of the subjects, and her presentation added that extra element these types of tours crave.
The tour itself is a great opportunity to get some steps in and learn some macabre history about Portland, along with some normal fun facts. My partner and I both enjoy the macabre and both enjoyed ourselves.
It is worth noting, we felt safe during the entire experience. Not too late at night, we stayed in well lit area's, and stopped in spots with light foot traffic out in public and open areas.
As a nice bonus, you'll have an opportunity to grab a hot coffee before the tour starts if it's a bit cooler outside.

A confusing tour of apparently haunted parking lots. Not much information about ghosts or history. Waste of time and money.

The tour guide was great, well versed in the lore and history of Portland's haunted spots. However, we only stood outside the buildings to talk about the spots. I thought we might peek at Nina's booth and the tunnels entrance, get inside the Kell to see the staircase. We were "lucky" to go inside the Bensen. So, to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. Again, guide was great, just unfortunately you can't SEE much.
