Mat, our guide, was over the top awesome. Mat was born and raised in Hawaii so it was wonderful to see the island through the eyes of a local. Mat had great food recommendations and the malasadas from Leonard’s were the BEST!!
Mat’s personality personifies the aloha spirit and I can’t imagine having a better guide or tour experience.

This was not a guided tour. We had a very pleasant driver who was punctual and arrived in an immaculate sedan. He was not a tour guide and was only able to drive us to various Lookout locations without being able to offer much information about what we were seeing. He wasn't trained for this tour and we asked to return to our hotel after three hours, mostly spent in traffic. There were beautiful sights along the way, but we were disappointed in the experience.

Travis was an absolutely amazing guide! He was very interesting, communicable, and super fun. He told tons of personal life experiences living in Hawaii and even took us to a couple local places to get a bite to eat. Absolutely recommend this tour if you want someone down to earth and something that doesn’t completely take up your whole day!

We had a fantastic time on this tour. It was completely customized to what we wanted to see and do. The pace was perfect. Travis is very friendly and knowledgeable. This was my family’s favorite part of our trip to Oahu. Highly recommend!

Travis was an excellent guide and made our Oahu trip one to remember. He was patient, insightful of Hawaiian history and great at locating and pointing out whales in the ocean. We were lucky enough to witness two whales jumping out of the water. Mahalo!

Glenn, our tour guide, was phenomenal!!! Beautiful views of the mountains and beaches. Glenn was born in Oahu and shared in-depth history about the origin of the various islands. Loved it!

Very nice and private tour. Local guide knew all the spots that normal tours don't go to. Places had very little tourists and the tour guide allow us to take as much time as we wanted to spend during the stops. Highly recommended.

Guide was fine, but operator lost track of our reservation. So we started late and were crammed into Jeep with two others. Since we stayed on highways, don't see what a Jeep added to the experience.

Having been to Oahu several times, we were looking for something different. Adventure with a Local was stellar selection, an opportunity to see behind the scenes of our tropical 50th state. Our guide, Cameron, was on-time exactly where we were told to meet. The description of the tour is one of small groups. My wife and I were the small group it does not get more personal. Working our way counterclockwise, we saw some of the must see sights included on other larger group tours, but with a local flavor including the back stories that cannot be accomplished with a large group. We could customize the tour on the fly, visiting some of the more secluded beaches, television locales, and even a few myths or two. It was an enjoyable half day excursion without the obligatory stop at the glitzy trinket stores. This was a chance to see the real Hawaii.

It was a very personalised service and we got to see far more than we would on a on a normal cheaper coach tour with a fixed intinerary and time wasted mounting/de. Matt was very friendly and so we had some great conversations in between scenic spots. He was knowledgeable and showed a genuine passion for his job. Although not part of the advertised package Matt also did a great job as wedding photographer so we ended up with many great photos of us with the scenic spots as backdrop.

We had a great time travelling with Sean around the Windward side of Oahu. He covered so many interesting facts, cultural history and even pop-history it was cool seeing many of the movie/film locations around the island. We even off-roaded on one of the beaches I love Jeeps! Thanks for the great adventure!

The tour was very well organized and our tour guide Will was very nice and he explained the fine points of the island which was informative and he made the tour very pleasant we took great pictures and it was not like a race to see too many locations but time spent seeing places relaxed ...which is the point of any vacation. Amazing! Highly recommended

Great tour, would highly recommend. Went to some quiet places with no other tourists. Our guide was friendly and informative. Even took us to a Japanese temple which wasn't on the standard tour.

Dan was a wonderful tour guide: informative, attentive, flexible and gave us all kinds of unique insights into Hawaiian culture, plus he really knew his history! It's a great way to see the true beauty of Oahu with a personalized touch--beats the tour bus for sure! He went out of his way to make sure we had a special trip catered to our interests in the true Aloha fashion. Would do it again!!

When we found this tour we had done all the touristy activities. This tour gave us a perfect opportunity to learn a little bit more about Hawaii that we would've missed by hanging out in the popular areas.
