Scott was friendly, very knowledgeable about the Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo area. We had a great time asking questions.

Great experience! Our tour guide Scott was very accommodating considering the inclement weather during the tour, he made sure we are comfortable to proceed with the tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of NYC and shared tips about the best places to eat. Highly recommend booking a tour with him when in NYC!

This is a great tour. 10k plus steps which is great when you eat at Julianna’s after. The history of the bridge was exceptional and the pics in DUMBO (insert girl squeal) amazing. Scott is a veteran tour guide and his expertise was much appreciated.

We had a truly wonderful time walking over the Brooklyn Bridge and through the Dumbo area of Brooklyn and ending up in the Brooklyn Heights area. Our guide Scott could not have been more friendly and helpful, he took pictures of ourselves and our individual party. He was very informative and took time to explain everything in great detail. Was happy to provide suggestions for places to eat and drink and the best way to return to our hotel in Manhatten at the end of the trip.

Great guide. Super informative and interesting. I’d give the tour five stars if it were for how it ended. The end point is far from the starting point. When I asked the guide how to get back, he said the subway. Not being from NYC, that was a bit surprising. I take a lot of tours and fully understand that end points are always the same as the starting points, but this was a drastic difference.

It was great experience with Scott tailored to our interests and preferences. We got lots of good shots and discovered hidden gem we wouldn’t otherwise find without Scott’s guidance! Definitely recommend!

A great way to experience Brooklyn bridge and the surrounding area.Scott was very good at describing the sights both past and present and had an interesting and independent knowledge of the bridges and their construction. There was a fair bit of walking and steps to handle but if you can please do the tour you will see and learn a lot.

Great walking tour over the Brooklyn Bridge. History of bridge was sprinkled throughout. Once in DUMBO, even more to see and learn about. This trips ends in Brooklyn Heights so stay and explore more. Easy ways to return to midtown. Guide was well versed in the history and responded to questions we’ll.

A excellent way to explore communities on both sides of the Brooklyn bridge and take in riveting history and extraordinary views. The guide was very passionate and knowledgeable of the city, and made the group have a wonderful experience (despite the rain). Strongly recommended!

Great tour of a part of NYC we had only seen from our car driving to and from the area. While it is a bit of walking, the pace was easy and there was plenty of time to take pictures and take in all the landmarks.

The walking tour was phenomenal! It was the right amount of time and did allow breaks. The tour guide was super friendly and he knew the city! I loved his personality! I love history and the tour gave tidbits of information about New York I would have never read about. Plus, we stumbled upon some celebrities. 😁😁😁

Brookyn Bridge tour with guide Scott Wooledge - May 2025
It is possible for anyone to walk on their own across the Brooklyn Bridge, however it was much better to experience the bridge with a guide to point out details and explain the history of the bridge & area.
The meeting place that was chosen for us to start the walk was easy to get to and had its own very interesting history to include at the start of his tour. The walk does not have any steep, strenuous or difficult surfaces to walk on. Our guide, Scott is extremely knowledgeable about the construction of the bridge and the surrounding area. Since photos are “worth a million words”, he does have a few nice historical photos to show, but mostly he verbally explains all the history. Scott walks at an easy pace and he makes the tour fun and he takes time to find out what details his clients are interested in along the way. We were pleased that the walk also included walking around at the other end of the bridge through a Brooklyn business, restaurants & neighborhood area, because that was interesting as well as the bridge walk. The Brooklyn area is a nice viewing area to see the NYC skyline & Statue of Liberty.

Scott was a great tour guide, the experience of walking through the Booklym brigde is very good, beautiful views for pictures, DUMBO super pretty and the recommended pizza was amazing

The Brooklyn Bridge and surrounding area are something to see at least once.
We met our tour guide Scott in City Hall Park. Scott was early and got our tour started on time. While we were waiting for the tour to get started Scott pointed out some historical facts around the park. He also told us what to expect along the tour like stopping points, bathroom breaks if needed, and spots to grab something to eat if we like.
Once the tour started Scott pointed out different buildings as we made our way to the bridge pathway. Once on the bridge there was some walk and talk until we got to our first stop. At this point Scott took a couple family photos for us and let us walk around to read some of the history boards and take in the views.
We then moved on to the middle of the bridge where we stopped and took in the sights and more photos. Scott also had a book of old photos that gave you a better idea of the area and construction of the bridge.
We then continued to the third stop on the bridge to take in the full city skyline view. While there Scott told us where we were headed next (DUMBO), what DUMBO meant, and then as we walked off the bridge he pointed out new features at the base of the bridge.
The next part of the tour became an unanticipated bonus. We went towards the base of the Manhattan. This was a great photo opportunity of the Manhattan Bridge with the Empire State Building underneath the arch.
After this we walked along the East River. This was an amazing part of the tour. The work done by local residents and officials along with City, State, and other partners is a credit to them all.
We walked along the water then up into Brooklyn Heights. We walked the old neighborhood with Scott pointing out different interesting features. The tour then concluded on the Brooklyn promenade with a beautiful view of the bridges and city skyline.
If you take the tour, remember there is a lot of walking. The pace Scott set was very manageable. The incline on the bridge was not that bad.
I would recommend this tour to those looking to do something different when visiting the city, or like us, that live in the area and want to explore more of our unique features.

Scott is an outstanding guide. He is a wealth of knowledge on the bridge, community and history of the areas along the entire journey. He makes time to ensure all questions are thoughtfully answered and ensure all are engaged. We would gladly take another tour with Scott, and can't wait for our next opportunity.

Hi Larry, thanks for booking and the kind words. It was great meeting you all. What a nice group of people I got to enjoy the company of, on a beautiful day. Come back to the Big Apple soon!
Geoff_A, May 2025
So nice to be taken over the bridge and into Brooklyn by a local with unique knowledge. No way would we have appreciated the history of the bridge and rake area without Scot with us.
Response from Host, May 2025
Thanks for the kind words. I do think the Bridge walk should be in everyone's top 5 things to do in NYC, with or without a guide. But I hope it's a much better experience with some local insight and historical background. Nice to meet you!
Joseph_G, Apr 2025
Very well paced and Scot does an excellent job giving you history of the area. Exceptional tour. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to visit the Brooklyn bridge area.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Hi Joey, glad you enjoyed it and happy that I could be a part of your grand tour this summer. Have a great time on your next destination!
Kelly_P, Apr 2025
Scott was a great guide. I would suggest having a sign to hold up when meeting the group, it was very hard to find him. But the tour was very informative and He had many interesting facts of the bridge and the people who built it I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in architecture and history of building.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Hi Kelly (with a y). It was great meeting you and I'm glad you have a good time!
Timothy_M, Apr 2025
I highly recommend this tour. There is so much interesting and historic information about the Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO, and Brooklyn Heights. The history of the building of the bridge is fascinating. The walk around, DUMBO, the Brooklyn water front parks, Brooklyn Heights and the Brooklyn Heights promenade was great , The views of lower Manhattan from the Promenade are spectacular. It was cool to see the homes of celebrities in Brooklyn Heights. Scott our tour guide, was excellent, friendly and very knowledgeable. He even recommended a good pizza place and bakery in Brooklyn Heights and his suggestions were spot on. I highly recommend this tour!
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Hi Tim, I'm glad you liked the tour and the recommendations. That bakery is the hottest spot in the neighborhood, and having tried their croissants, I don't wonder why! It was great to host you, and don't forget, if your daughter feels better, I'm happy to do a make-up tour for her! Best wishes!
