I think the success of this tour depends on the tour operator. Walking the tour allowed us to see the beauty of the French Quarter. We loved that. However our guy was a bit underwhelming. He wasn't particularly animated and his voice didn't project. At times his telling of the history and the lore around ghosts was a bit disjointed, not clear to the kids. I'm not sure I'd recommend this particular tour.

Dominic was very knowledgeable and interesting all at the same time. I would definitely recommend this tour and would take it again.

My daughter and I were excited about this tour. The guide was knowledgeable and the food the families were great. Would have appreciated my daughter receiving the same eye contact and interaction the other families/kids received. She looks older, but she’s still just a kid. Other than that, I would recommend this tour to friends and family.

Our guide was funny and great: I think my Son who is 9 needs a little more interaction to stay invested, but Dan made it fun.

Ashley took us all around Jackson Square and up through royal street. She was able to answer EVERY question my son and daughter fired off, and there were a ton!

We had a wonderful evening with a lovely gentleman who took the time to share many anecdotes with us. The tour was perfect.

Awesome guide! Kids had such a great time! Lots of interesting stories and cool history- kids are 7 and 11

Lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes. Our tour guide pays close attention to the children in the group and gears the tour toward them. Very animated and entertaining.

This tour was more about the history of the French Quarter buildings and architecture than ghosts. Not at all what we’d hoped for.

Dalvin was an amazing guide! Really animated storytelling, perfect for kiddos. He added some details for adults in creative ways too. Learned a lot, and we're excited to research more!
Beliz_O, Apr 2025
Our tour guide Dalvin was very entertaining in explaining scary details to the kids. He made sure parents were comfortable with all that is shared as well. We found the details very informative and sufficient to get a good understanding of the French Quarter history. Great job!

They said to take a lot of pictures and then check them when we get home, but they never said when/where we should take pictures. I didn’t take any ☹️ Our guide got off talking to a family that was in the group about his connection with their ethnic background with them and kept referencing it as if we all knew what the hell they were talking about. I know he is trying to keep things interesting to the kids, but all of his jumping around is a little weird

Not scary for kids. The kids might not be as interested because kids are kids. I found it informational and nice walk for our family.

Dane was great - very informative and funny.
Was a nice way to explore the quarter
Recommend for ages 7 and up

A cute, kid-appropriate, theatrical tour that covered 4 or 5 interesting, historical spooky stories from New Orleans' past. The walk was a very manageable distance, even for little ones. Dalvin, our guide, was a great performer and three in little adult bits to keep parents involved.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and tried to cater to the kiddos. It was great to walk around the French Quarter with someone with so much fascinating information about the area. Our daughter (8) got a little scared, but I think it was a good experience. Everyone seemed very engaged.

Great tour. Our guide Elaine was fantastic she had a lot of knowledge of the history of New Orleans, had great energy. She told just enough great details for the mix ages of my kids.

Dane was fantastic! He kept the whole gang of kids engaged the entire time and is a great story teller. My son (who is on the spectrum and notoriously disengaged from most activities) even was enjoying himself and participating by the end. We’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone with kids who want to hear some stories and walk the French Quarter.

We enjoyed our tour with Melissa! She had great knowledge of the history and ghosts of New Orleans! The tour took us to some beautiful locations with interesting pasts. Our son enjoyed the ghost talks!

This was a terrible tour, I woud not recommend it to anyone. The tour guide was so back that have the group left half way through.
Erin_S, Oct 2024
Dalvin was a fun and entertaining guide! My son (7 years old) has been asking to go on a ghost tour forever and he loved it. We learned some new things and heard stories we had not already heard about mysterious happenings and history in the French Quarter!

We had a great time with Elaine. She was a great story teller and we had a great time. Highly recommend this tour especially with young kids.

We absolutely loved our ghost tour! There were children of all ages on our tour and Anderson had stories appropriate for everyone!

Tour guide was great and was able to relate to everyone in our group. The experience was really fun for everyone.

The ghost tour was great! Our tour guide, Dalvin, was funny and witty and very knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans. He made the fun experience even more memorable.
Lindsey_R, Jun 2024
Had a great time on our tour with guide Dalvin! His story telling was excellent giving you enough to want more but cutting it to share more as the tour continued. He was great with my son (9) that was hot and crabby and not super excited about going on a ghost tour. Dalvin was the highlight of the tour that was a lot of walking and gave great history of the French Quarter. Not scary at all for the kids but definitely would leave mine at home if we ever do it again.
Hayley_K, Jun 2024
Melissa was our tour guide and she was absolutely delightful. We loved her knowledge of the city and ghost stories and how she catered to our family so perfectly. We would do this again and again and had the best time, even through the heat!
Kiana_S, May 2024
If you're seeking a unique family tour, your search ends here! It offers fantastic engagement for kids and plenty of historical content for all ages. We gained a wealth of knowledge, thanks to Dalvin.

Anderson was our tour guide and was amazing! It was our first time to New Orleans and he incorporated some area history into the ghost tour. We had 3 kids (4,8,10) and the two oldest absolutely loved it. We learned a lot and had a great time- absolutely would recommend!
