Warner Bros

MICHAEL_C, Sep 2024
This is NOT a big bus tour. You need to get to the office to redeem voucher before using the buses. Pointless for us as we were the other side of L.A. The office did give us the use of buses next day. The Warner tour was well worth a visit , though you really need a car to get there !!

Tour Amazing - transportation atrocious

Ruth_M, May 2019
Tour is so good I was travelling solo and really enjoyed myself. Transportation was terrible. I called before I left Australia to confirm the time. Was assured that I would be back by 4-30pm at the latest (I had a flight that night so needed to know I had time) called agin the night before was told the same thing. Get picked up on time and we went to the office in Santa Monica to be told we would be on the 5-30pm bus back. Myself and another family on the bus were both told we would be back by 4-30 and we both had plans so this was not acceptable to us. They were unapologetic and were the tour is not at 12-15 as advertised on Viator they do transport with that tour. The other couple on the tour said they were happy to come back early so myself and the family could make it back was promised so they begrudgingly changed the time to 4.30pm pick up but said if we are all back to the bus early we could go earlier. Viator needs to get the correct time off this company and the tour company needs to give people the correct information on the phone. 5 stars for Warner bros 1 Star for the transport

Bus that picked up from hotel was so below the standard. Bad ventilation. So if you are planing to have a hotel pick up, negotiate for the transport type. Tour itself was interesting but nothing epochal

Response from Host, May 2018

TOUR OPERATOR FEEDBACK: Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your comments and will look into the ventilation issue on the bus you had that day. We hope you mentioned this to the driver as well since it is always best to let them know about your discomfort. We do inspect buses weekly but this could have occurred that day and we would not have had the time to rectify the problem. We appreciate feedback from our guests. It is very important for us to maintain the standard of services we strive to deliver.

Loved this tour! My husband is not a movie/tv fan and I forced him to go. He had a better time than me. Was not just about where movies and television stars have filmed etc but about how they make these movies and television shows come to life! Amazing!! The highlight for me was going into Ellen's studio not recording obviously and really feel where this show is made week in week out.

The tour itself was good but did not last the 3.5 - 4 hours as advertised. It lasted a little over 2 hours. However, Do NOT take the optional transportation. It was provided by Starline Tours and the trip to Warner Bros. was OK we stopped at one another hotel to pick up more tour goers. The bad part was when we arrived at Warner Bros. and was told by the shuttle driver that we would not be picked up for the trip back until 5:30 pm. The tour ended at about 2:30 pm and we spent about another 1/2 hour in with the interactive displays, leaving the studios for the tram ride back to the pickup spot at 3:00 pm. If the 2 1/2 wait for the shuttle bus wasn't bad enough, when we boarded we were told they were going to make a 'quick stop' at Universal Studios to pick up additional passengers. After waiting another 1/2 hour wait there we started dropping off the new passengers at their hotels. Bottom line: we finally arrived back at our hotel at 7:45 pm. We had a rental and wished we had driven there. Had we known or been advised upfront of the transportation concessions we would have to make, we would have driven ourselves and had almost 5 hours of additional time to do 'tourist things'.

I really liked the actual tour of Warner Bros Studio, but the getting there was a bumpy ride. While on the bus to the tour office we hit a pedestrian, which was a whole ordeal itself but that isn't the reason I'm only giving three stars. I was worried I would miss my tour because I was getting picked up at my hotel than getting on another bus to go to the actual studio. I missed the second bus but the company did have a bus just for me ready for when I arrived. The reason I am giving this tour three stars is because I missed a part of the tour at the studios and the pick up time never changed. I understand I was delayed due to unfortunate event however when I paid for this tour I didn't expect to have the driver hit someone on the way to the office. To this day I don't know what the first part of the tour was and I have to rush through everything at the end to get to the shuttle back to the office. I would have appreciated if they moved me to another time or offered to pick me up later since I got their late. All in all it was a lovely Studio and I would recommend anyone that watches movies to see it....but maybe find your own way there.

The tour was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. However, the Viator website states that you are going on a VIP tour, but it is just the same tour that every visitor to Warner Bros takes - so the description that Viator gives, is somewhat misleading.

Horrible. I would like to give you an accurate account of the tour if I could. But since they put my son and I on the wrong tour.. disorganized!!!! We had the 9:30 tour for behind the scenes Warner brothers. We were told Where to waist the guide came called out for those on the 9:30 tour. We were out on a bus and they next thing I know We're on a tour of celebrity houses. No where near the cost of what I paid.

This was a fun tour. Worth the money. In depth look at Warner Brothers. Got to see the Batmobile, sit on the Friends couch, and ride a broom through Harry Potter World.

Dont be fooled. This isn't a viptour. This is the regular tour for much more money Talked to other people who booked directly with Warner and they did the exact same tour as the so called VIP your. Shame on you Starline. As soon as I get home I will contact both Warner and Starline. For what it's W

I'm gonna split this review into 2, the tour operator and then the tour itself; 1. Starline tours are useless. Didn't pick us up, the drivers had no clue who was getting picked up - just useless don't bother. 2. Not a "VIP" tour at all , waited an hour, 14 on group. Just get an uber there and do it

Anastasia R, May 2017
I think you would be better booking through Warner Bros directly. We were picked up in one bus then waited around for the next to take us to the studio. The trip involved a lot of waiting for the transport. Decided to make our own way back to hotel rather than waiting around longer. It would be better to organise your own transport to the studio. The guide that we had at the studio was also not very interested. He seemed to just keep rattling off a lot of shows many of whom we were not familiar with.

Julie F, Mar 2017
My family and I enjoyed the Warner Brothers Tour. If you are a big movie buff especially classic movies or watch a lot of television, this is a fun tour. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and energetic. This tour involves a 25 minute bus ride over to Warner Brothers and a 25 minute ride back. So the tour itself is about 3 hours, not 4 or 5 as the ad says. We saw many of the outside buildings / streets where outside shots for many shows and movies are done and the facades, including the café for LaLaLand. We toured a prop room and drove past a lot of sound stages on the outside big concrete buildings with numbers on them We went into one sound studio where a TV show we hadn't heard of films. At the end was the Friends set and some hands interactive displays which were interesting. There was a building filled with all the BatMobile vehicles and a costume area with a lot of SuperHero costumes and a whole floor of Harry Potter stuff including a sorting hat interactive. Overall we all enjoyed it. Here are the negatives....we specifically booked this VIP tour because it included Ellen in the description. This tour DOES not allow you to see the Ellen sound stage in any way. We couldn't even drive past it. We saw an office with her logo on it and a parking spot. We are huge Ellen fans so this was a big disappointment and false advertising. Overall we never saw anything being filmed or any actors or any real work happening, so if that is what you want, this is not the right tour. We never saw an active set with any filming. The VIP also said the group would be less than 12, it wasn't. It said a 4-5 hour tour but didn't mention the hour of bus/shuttle that happens from the Chinese Theater. If you could just drive to the studio itself, that would be better. If you are looking for specific shows or specific sets than do your homework very carefully. This tour DOES NOT include ELLEN.
