- We are located on Catalina Island, You must secure transportation to the island to take the tour. There are no refunds if you miss the tour.
- TRAVEL TO CATALINA IS NOT INCLUDED. Transportation needed by Ferry to Island.
- Children Under 5 will need a car seat to join tour. We do not provide car seats.
- We cannot store or hold wheelchairs, strollers or luggage.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 21 travelers

This was a great experience to travel to the interior off the island. Shelly was a great driver and Tim was a great tour guide. We learned so much about the history of Saint Catalina asking the way. It turns out the we managed to see a couple bison and one that was huge up close. The airport up at the top was fascinating. What a beautiful tour on a beautiful island. Would definitely recommend this tour if you’re coming out.

It was a very informative tour. Our guide was very engaging and she knew a lot about the islands history. It was well worth my time and money. And the driver did an excellent job getting around those roads.

This was my second time going on this tour in Catalina island. The road is bumpy but the views of mountains, island is spectacular and there is a chance to see wildlife animals too. During my previous visit we did not see any bison but we saw little foxes. During yesterday’s tour our group was lucky to see bisons both from long and close distance. No foxes this time but that is fine with me as wild animals are not supposed to sit and wait for tourists all the time:) The guide Oscar was very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable guy and the driver was very good too. Thank you for another wonderful experience!

If you are expecting to see bison, that is an iffy thing. I saw two from half a mile away.
Also, prepare yourself for a very bumpy ride.
The guide was good offered good detailed information and overall it was a good time.

The lack of Bison was disappointing. The driver and the guide were great but we were there to see Bison. We did see a few distant silhouettes on the horizon. The story of there past and future was sad and cruel. The cookie was OK.

Be prepared for an extremely bumpy ride filled with Amazingggggg views. Not for anyone that has back or neck issues or gets easily car sick !!!!!!

It was a great “get to know the island” tour which covers area most vehicles can’t enter. Thankfully we saw a male Bison or my nephew would have been disappointed 😅 Perhaps if we went on an a.m time slot, more animals would have appeared. We did the 2pm tour. Perfect weather so the views were amazing. Our tour guide Sergio and driver Timothy were fun and entertaining which helps for the learning factor.

Ok don’t get me wrong, the activity itself was great- but it was a nightmare trying to get to the activity. Viator sent me an email that had the address of where we were supposed to meet for the tour. I entered the address to Google Maps, my boyfriend and I waited at the location to see some sort of tour guide, but the time of the tour came and there still was no tour guide. Then, I received a phone call from the tour guide asking where we were. I was very frazzled and upset because we put in the exact address that Viator had emailed us- but apparently that was the wrong address and we were a 10 minute walk from where we were supposed to be. Luckily, we were able to reschedule, and find the correct location. We had a great time on the tour, but we also learned to never trust any addresses that Viator gives and to look up the address through the website of the company offering the tours. Yes, I would recommend this activity to a friend- but definitely not through Viator.

$100 per person to drive up a hill then back down. Took pictures at the lil airport and bought a cookie. Love my kid, loved hanging out w her no matter what. But would never recommend this waste of time and money.

The Catalina “adventure“ was presented as a two hour thrilling experience with photos of bison, but we saw ONE from far, far away and barely visible. We didn’t see any fox, birds or any other animals. The ride was also extremely bumpy, which hurt my back, making the tour quite uncomfortable. For the steep price tag, I would definitely not recommend this. The tour operator, Sergio, was fine and upbeat, but it seems like he was trying to make the most out of otherwise forgettable experience.

We did tour July 16, 2026. About 80 degrees and a little humid. Yes we saw Bison and the views of the landscape/ coastline are spectacular, the trail going up over 1600 feet is tight, winding and very bumpy/rough. I thought we were supposed to have a Hummer but boarded a commercial truck with poor suspension and uncomfortable seats for the terrain. The driver and tour guide were excellent. I do not recommend this tour for children under 6yrs old or seniors over 80yrs old, or if you have a bad back or neck. This road/trail really should be repaved, come on with all the revenue these tours generate fix the road and/or use modern vehicles.

Not going to see wildlife. Basically a bus tour to the airport . Nice views and friendly staff, just did not see any wildlife, which was why we booked it

Very good your. Driver and guide work together well along with other tours to make sure we saw as many animals as possible. Also very knowledgeable about history all the way to current day. Trip is a little bumpy and dusty so if you have allergies make sure to take a pill before. Beautiful views from everywhere especially the airport. Highly recommend

We went to the inner parts of the island including the airport. Its vast beauty and some wildlife spotting. We were able to see, albeit at a distance, about 10 - 15 Bison, as they roam freely on the Island. Learned a lot of the history. Great tour guide.

We saw Bisson!!! Very fun talk as we road in the back country. The driver and narrator have eagle eyes to spot the Bisson. We would have missed them.

This experience was ok and not worth the money. I also had trouble with your driver or tour guide stealing items from me I accidentally left behind on the truck. I know for a fact that it was found by one of them because another person on truck saw me in the street and let me know they were looking for me after the tour because I left a gift bag on the truck. When I saw the tour truck driver he lied and stated that it was turned into office and that the office will not be open. I went to office anyway and they were open and item was not there and also they called the pier and item was not there either. It was gone. I hate to know that if anyone left their wallet or purse behind it wouldn’t have been handled appropriately either. The employees need to be more honest that work there.

Our family enjoyed learning some of the history of the Catalina land and venturing into it with Catalina adventure tours. The ride was a bit bumpy in the back seats, but the front seats were much less bumpy. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
