After meeting your guide and chauffeur at your Lisbon hotel hop aboard your comfy vehicle for a private day trip to Estoril and Cascais. Enjoy the option of four different modes of transport to accommodate your travel needs. Then, as you embark on your journey of what many call the Portuguese Riviera, glimpse out at the diverse Portuguese coastline full of charming towns and glamorous beaches.

First, cruise to the town of Cascais, laced with golden sand beaches and charming restaurants. Discover the 17th century St. Sebastian Chapel and its monumental collection of Oriental china, colorful tiles and stunning art. Then, pass the blue and white Santa Marta lighthouse which reopened as a lighthouse museum in 2007. Next, drive to continental Europe’s westernmost edge, Cape Roca. As you listen to waves crash into the cliffs, stare out over the Atlantic as so many Portuguese navigators once did.

Before continuing to the memorable Estoril Coast, grab lunch at a local restaurant (own expense). Then, hop aboard your vehicle and cruise to Hell’s Mouth (Boca do Inferno). This marvel of mother nature is a dramatic chasm that crumbled by the endless wrath of crashing waves. Enjoy the ambiance as sounds of waves pummeling the craggy cliffs burst into your ears.

Next, traverse the coast to the dazzling blue waters at Guincho Beach. Watch windsurfers and surfers alike slide along whitewater waves. Arrive in Estoril and leisurely walk with your guide through the elegant streets covered with fun outdoor cafes and bistros. Refuel with a cup of coffee (own expense) and then hop back in the vehicle for a beautiful drive back along the pristine Estoril Coast. Nice Coastal Drive

After our heavier historical tours, this was a nice change of pace. Lots of driving, but very pretty coastal scenery. Joel, our tour guide, was very friendly and personable and gave us just the right of amount of background information, but was always ready to answer any questions that we had along the way. Ate a nice seaside restaurant where we were able to try local delicacies-like octopus and buttery clams-that we might not otherwise have known about.

We had a very nice time on this tour. Our tour guide Joel was very friendly and took us to see the sites. He was very patient and we never felt rushed. We had a WONDERFUL lunch at Da Adraga, a restaurant near the beach. The food was exceptionally fresh and deliciously prepared. The BMW was a bit tight for 4 people but it workout out nontheless. I would recommend this tour.

The trip was excellent as well as the guide/driver. The driver was very friendly and knowledgeable and showed us sites in addition to what was on the itinerary. The only thing I wish is we had a bigger car. With 4 adults plus the driver in a BMW 3 series, it is quite difficult and uncomfortable for 3 adults to seat in the back seat. Besides the car, the overall experience was great as such 4 star out of 5

This was an awesome way to end a conference in Lisbon. We traveled in a VW convertible on a splendid sunny day up the coast with our tour guide, who turned out to be one of the owners. The trip was a relaxing experience for myself and my teenage daughter. Our host made us feel very relaxed and answered all of our questions with pride of being a lifelong citizen of Portugal. We saw some of he city sites as well. Sites along th coast were wonderful to see as we drove and walked up the coastline. He took us to lunch at a locals hangout at the beach and he convinced us to try local cuisine to our utmost satisfaction. I would do this trip again when in the area.
