Our guide Antonio was very knowledgeable about historical Lisbon both structurally and culturally. He gave us many good tips for getting around the area without getting lost. We also want to thank him for waiting on us to start the tour as we were caught in traffic. Highly recommend this experience at the start of a visit to Lisbon.

This was super disappointing. Our guide was late so we thought we missed the tour. We left to walk around the meeting area and do our own touring. He finally called and said he was running late. When he arrived, it didn’t seem like he had a planned tour itinerary. We weren’t taken to different neighborhoods and didn’t get any understanding of where we were. He took us into a bookstore (the oldest bookstore in the world - very cool) but spent way too much time elaborating on Portuguese authors and poets and proceeded to go into this further when we began walking again. This tour lacked depth in storytelling, history and insight on the city layout. We even ended the tour early because we felt it was a waste of our time. Don’t waste your money!

The two of us really REALLY enjoyed this city tour with Joao. We had done a larger tour earlier and asked to go to some parts of the city we had not been. Easy to do and off we went! The depth of knowledge, engagement was perfect. Couldn’t recommend more. You will not be disappointed.

Nuno was incredibly enthusiastic about the history of Portugal and particularly Lisbon and was always very keen to show us the best of Lisbon in the short time we had with him. Very knowledgeable about the city and also showed us a few points to help us enjoy our 4 day stay in Lisbon.
I would certainly recommend the trip, if not a longer tour ( ours was only booked for 1.5 hours), within the first couple of days of arriving as it's a good introduction and then you can explore more knowing where everything is.

My private kickstart tour of Lisbon was enjoyable but the guide changed a number of things and we didn't visit all the sites promised. Instead of meeting at the Praca do Comercio we met in Chiado. The guide said it was a better starting point so we could do a simple west-to-east walk. But even in doing that, we skipped Mirante Belvedere, do Arco da Rua Augusta, Rossio Train Station, Galerias Romanas da Rua da Prata, Lisbon Cathedral, Miradouro de Santa Luzia AND we did not "return" to Praca do Comercio.
Instead the guide focused on Camo Convent and we ended up near Saint George Castle.
While he did provide useful information for walking around Lisbon, like where certain elevators were, he ignore the vast majority of the schedule.
So while I got a private tour of some parts of Lisbon, I didn't get the private tour advertised.

David was our guide and we have been touring Europe for a bit and can honestly say we have never had a guide like him before. He was full of knowledge and explained all the minor details that Lisbon is composed of. By the end of the tour we felt as a local ourselves ;)

My tour with Ana Paula was enjoyable. She is knowledgeable and you can tell she likes doing presentations and tours. I would have liked to have stayed away from the touristy stores and gone more to some of the other historical buildings or places of interest. However, I thank Ana Paula for providing me a good understanding of Portugal's history and Lisboa in particular.
