Itinerary
Begin your Lisbon tram tour at Comercio Square (Praça do Comércio), which faces the Tagus River. Hop aboard the vintage-style tram and head to the 18th-century downtown area that was rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake.
Relax as the tram climbs hills and winds through narrow streets to popular neighborhoods like Bairro Alto and Chiado, known for their cafes, museums, and famous meeting spot for artists, journalists, and poets of the past.
Then, head to the ancient neighborhood of Alfama, which still has remnants of Roman structures and Arab influences. See the areas that inspired fado songs, pass by the 12th-century cathedral as well as St. George's castle.
Then make your way back to the starting point to end your tour.
Note: departures are every 30 minutes from 10am to 6pm.

Once you've done the red tram tour don't bother with tram 28 it's similar.route and no audio. Also tram 12 does the same route.

Great way to see the city without walking up all the hills. The tram leaves every 20 minutes, you can buy tickets there. You do not get any preferential treatment/seating/boarding if you buy in advance.

Totally incomplete information was provided. Where were we to board the tram? At what time(s)? We wasted an hour, were forced to take an unnecessary Uber and to make a long distance phone call to viator to get information that should have been provided originally. Terribly disappointing and careless. Once on the tram, we did enjoy the ride although the cost for a one hour circuit with recorded narrative seemed excessive.

The tram ride I paid for was not operational yesterday. Can I get a refund please ?

Having a guaranteed seat. Not having to queue. Strange as it may sound seeing the benefits and drawbacks of trams - a public one broke down, an ambulance blocked the track and a badly parked vehicle caused a backup of trams!

We had a terrific driver with a lovely sense of humour. It was fascinating to see the different areas of Lisbon and how the character of the areas changed. Beautiful wide open squares on a blue sky day! The cobbled streets and decorated squares and flowering jacaranda trees were vibrant. A trip to remember.

Great tour. When entering the tram, go left for Best views. Pre booking was a godsend. Beating the queues and this route is the same as Tram 28

The first half of the journey was interesting with some historical and cultural facts shared.
And once the rain started we felt glad to be under cover. However, that’s where the plus points ended.
However, much of the journey did not have an accompanying story and also repeated the same route backwards as before.
The tour finished early at just one hour.

We purchased a trip that we did not get, when we got to the Santa Justa's elevator and to the funiculars (ancient urban trains) we had to pay again. No excuses for not being refunded, when you admitted we were right. You asked for our story and this is it.

I went to the departure place stood in line for an hour only to learn the ticket had to be printed. This was not clear on the reservation, in fact misleading. When the checked my ticket I was told to take a bus to a terminal to print. I noticed that others were buying tickets in line. The cost was 3 euros. I paid $27. Refund requested. Total waste of time and there was no experience! I didn’t have euros to buy a ticket and chose this ticket so I could charge to my credit card.

Your voucher was for the Hills Tramcar Tour (red touristic tram) which the terminal is in Praça Martim Moniz in front of the public 28E tramcar stop. The information about the terminal is in the voucher and in the procuct page. This tram offers you historic and cultural audioguide in 12 different languages and the tickets gives you access to all public trams, funiculars and to Santa Justa Lift (after redeeming the voucher).
The tram with 3€ tickets is the public tram (yellow tram), which is used by localls as public transportation. It has no audioguide.

One star because I have to, otherwise it would be a -5. This is by far the worst organised company and excursion. The instructions were terribly unclear, the tram had been cancelled and it wasn’t until I spoke to one of their reps that I was told about it. We had been waiting since 9:30 for it and it never arrived. We weren’t sure where the stop was, in fact, the instructions given on their website take you to the other side of the square, when in fact, I had to ask someone to show me where the stop was. The rep said the tram was cancelled and I asked for a refund but they have now refuted it. I thought the previous reviews were being a bit over the top but no, do not waste your money on this. DO AVOID this excursion.

We were told our tickets were only good for hour and 30 min tour verses the 24 hr hop on hop off that we expected. We were supposed to start at 1130 but unable due to a marathon that closed most of roads. Would never recommend.

Where do I start?hmm?oh yeah The Mobile ticket !it’s not made clear enough That the Yellow Bus is actually Red???we spent Two hours trying too get some information about how too trade our mobile ticket with the Yellow tram drivers who refused too take out ticket😂😂and for good reason because you have too trade it too a Red tram driver and then you can get on a yellow tram ????Like WTF is going on?and only found that out when you eventually get on the RED team at the end of its tour !!!god knows that I’m not the only Idiot that this has happened too 😂😂Red Is Yellow Bus and yellow bus is yellow when you get off the Yellow /red bus 🤪anyhow it was an absolute nightmare and with a limited amount of time there it totally ruined our Time on the Trams as by the time we got going our two hour runaround wasted so much time 🤬🤬🤬😡

The tour itself was fine, but the woman at the kiosk was horrible. My printer did not get the bar code, but I wrote the # down. It was pouring rain & she made us stand there while she called me estpido 6 times & refused to call & get the # because she said mine was incorrect. When she saw I wasn't leaving after she said we couldn't ride, she finally called & got the number. Not so great customer service.

We waited an hour at the designated spot, the tram never showed up so we left. There were so many people waiting, even if the tram had arrived when they said it would every 25 minutes, no way everyone would have been able to board. Skip this, do a different more reliable city tour.
