This food tour was lots of fun! Mika was a great tour guide: he was congenial, knowledgeable, friendly, and he introduced the group to amazing Portuguese food. The group melded well and there were many great conversations. I highly recommend this tour.

This was Canceled due to sick guide and the company had nobody to fill in. I have enjoyed theses tours in past visits to Lisbon

We booked this specific food tour because it clearly stated that vegetarian options were available at every stop, and that the tour was suitable for vegetarians as long as it was mentioned during booking. It was also advertised as an 8-stop tour.
However, right at the start, the guide informed us that providing vegetarian alternatives would be difficult and that the tour would include only five stops instead of eight. That was already disappointing.
At the second stop, the “vegetarian option” was simply canned mushrooms fried in olive oil. While I was in the middle of eating, the guide actually took my plate off the table, saying that another participant didn’t want their meat dish, so he took mine instead. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional.
At the third stop, the food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, was simply not edible. The dishes were unpleasant, and the restaurant itself felt dirty and uninviting. Also they split us to two tables.
Honestly, the only thing that made the tour enjoyable at all was the group of travelers who shared the experience with us. They were fun and friendly, which helped lighten the mood despite the disappointing food and organization.

Maya was absolutely wonderful! She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and so much fun. Highly, highly recommend if you want to try Portuguese cuisine and learn the history/culture along with it.

This was a food tour of the main strip. The food was unproblematic but just fine, not incredible. We go on food tours to discover interesting restaurants we wouldn’t be able to find on our own and this was not that.

Great experience! Andre was our tour guide and host on this fun and interesting look at some iconic Portuguese food woven together with some of the sights and history of Lisbon. Andre was a great guide. His knowledge, authenticity and gift for storytelling made this tour standout above and beyond the great food and drink. My sister, brother-in-law and myself had a delightful afternoon with Andre.

Tour guide Bruno is a bilingual professional actor and local Lisbon native. This gives him the perfect combination of skills and background knowledge to turn a simple walking food tour into an entertaining history lesson - and make sure the whole group of 20 can hear and understand him.
We sampled dishes we would not otherwise have considered trying. Our favorites were the sausage and the cod - and of course the custard tart of which Bruno seems to be a connoisseur. He even showed us how to eat the grilled sardines.
Good time. Great companions. Perfect guide. Well worth the money.

Our tour guide was fabulous as was the food and drink at the places we were taken. However, and I realize small group is subjective, but ours had 21 people and that was above a reasonable number for us on a walking tour. None of the restaurants were ready for this many people. Our guide often had to break her announcements into 2 groups which took time. She was funny and cool about it, not her fault at all.

We do a food tour in almost every city we travel to. It’s a great way to get acquainted with the area. This was by far the most disappointing one we have ever been on. The guide did a good job but the food and the restaurants were the bottom of the barrel. I would recommend you find another tour from another operator in Lisbon. Called Viator to register a complaint and got nowhere. Very disappointed with both the operator of the tour company and Viator.

What a fantastic tour. Maya was great, she has so much enthusiasm for the topic, she gave us food history, culture, she cooked, she made sure everyone was taken care of. Joanna was a great tour guide. Very personable, knowledgeable and friendly! She was prompt, accommodating and considerate of everyone’s needs. The food choices were great and although I didn’t drink the wine, she provided options for me. The people we toured with were great too! Would highly recommend experiencing Lisbon for a few hours this way!
