Getting to see the fish...

Getting to see the fish while snorkeling was probably my favorite! Also loved laying out on the floats, I was initially nervous for the boat ride as I get sea sick, but it was smooth sailing. The food and drinks were delicious, it was a perfect relaxing beach day and an unforgettable first experience on a catamaran for my first time ever visiting the Keys!

Need to start off by saying we didn’t even make it onto the boat, but no fault of our own! I booked this trip at the beginning of January as a day on the water with my mom for her Mother’s Day present. I received an email a few days before the trip to pay it in full. I paid the trip in full and downloaded our tickets to Apple Wallet. Our boat trip was planned for Tuesday. I received a phone call at 9 am, just 30 minutes before we were to check in for the 10 am departure. The phone call from the boating company, Sabago, informing we cannot go on our trip because someone else rented the whole boat as a private charter. Despite booking through a 3rd party company, Sabago should have known this information well before 9 am the day of the planned trip. I will say, a gentleman (Jeff I believe) was very helpful in trying to help us book something else. Unfortunately, we did not find anything like we had planned and chose to find another company to take us out on the water. It was highly disappointing to have planned a whole day around this excursion and to find out only 30 minutes prior that we could not go on it. I am a proactive person so had I known before the day of, I wouldn’t have had to spend my morning finding another boat trip for the day.

Sun, drinks, and fun

We had a great day with our crew and captain. The sandbar was too shallow, so that captain quickly improvised and took us to a reef instead. We had the best day of drinking, snorkeling, eating, and relaxing! I would definitely recommend to anyone!

My husband and I enjoyed this trip. It was relaxing and fun. Captain was great and funny. We will do it again. Lunch and drinks were great too.

This particular time should have had a disclaimer about being a strong swimmer. The current was much stronger than anticipated by anyone and there was no "sandbar" to be had. We ended up being stranded on the raft and had to be "rescued" after about an hour defying further away from the boat. There was no way an average swimmer could have made it back to the boat on our own. I was unable to really sunscreen and ended up with a nasty sunburn. I did not enjoy myself. I will state that the crew was amazing and worked extremely hard to get everyone safely back. My hats off to them. I will not be doing this again.

This was a wonderful, relaxing experience. We were given the option to head to a beach or go out to the reef - we chose the reef and loved it. Captain Joe, Danie & Bailey made our trip one to remember. Water toys, food & drink were all great.
