Itinerary

Scuba divers and snorkelers aren’t the only ones who get to see the beautiful Florida Reef in all its splendor. Thanks to this glass-bottom catamaran, there’s a very clear "window to the reef" for guests on this cruise.

Just a few miles seaward of the Florida Keys is North America's only living coral barrier reef and the third-largest coral barrier reef system in the world. It’s also one of the most biologically diverse marine eco-systems. Travel directly over the top of it and see more than 600 species of tropical fish, sharks, lobsters, crabs, sea turtles, sea rays, snails, jellyfish, and other sea life, including elkhorn and brain coral.

The boat, which is designed to allow the best viewing with the least amount of stress to the reef, offers a seated sun deck with a panoramic view of the water, as well as an enclosed, air-conditioned cabin with restrooms and a snack bar.

Opt for the sunset cruise to watch the sun settle into the Gulf of Mexico while enjoying a glass of Champagne or a soft drink.

Wonderful staff and very knowledgeable on the reef. This is our second sunset cruise with Fury. Seeing the sunset from a boat on the water is better than watching from Mallory Square. We didn’t see as many pretty fish as the first time but, the wind was unusually high that day making the sand around the reef cloudy. It’s still our favorite thing to do in Key West!

Not worrth it. !!!!

Connie_S, Apr 2026
The day was very windy. and actually water was too rough and boat very rocky. Not very informative and could not see anything from dirty bottom windows. The boat did not appear to be maintained well. Not worth the cost and I would not recommend this tour.

Beautiful calm water

jacqui_M, Mar 2026
Clear instructions, great team, good commentary. Learned a lot about the harbor as we passed and the reef and the fish we went over

It was a bit...

Thomas_R, Mar 2026
It was a bit disappointing as we did not get to go to the Atlantic side as advertised, but realize that was out of your control. We did not really see that much as expected

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hello, Thomas. We regret you did not enjoy your day on the water with us as it is our goal to deliver fun and memorable experiences to our guests!Whenever the weather is not ideal and we feel our guests will not be comfortable in the waters offshore at the Reef, our Captains will pick the next best possible location. We can assure you that if we changed locations, the conditions were far from ideal at the reef. We do offer the option to cancel or reschedule when tours are amended prior to departure, however, most guests opt to go and enjoy the boat trip, warm waters and sea life found in the waters of the Gulf.. While not as vibrant as the Reef, there is still typically much to see at these alternate locations. We hope to have you back when the weather is perfect and we can venture back out to the reef!

Not cheap, no discounts on line.

Michael_H, Mar 2026
Good ride. Everyone enjoyed it. Kind of expensive. Also, when booking on the phone, I can never find a place that offers .any type of discount. Not your fault...no one does. I am 70 years old...and also retired military. No place to check on senior or military discount. So...might be something to add to the website.

The coral reef is not...

Pam_G, Feb 2026
The coral reef is not colorful at all and its hard to see any fish or other life since it blends in. It also is not for someone prone to motion sickness. Its worse when looking through the glass bottom. The narration is very good.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Hello, Pam. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the narration portion of the tour! We are very lucky that so many days here in Key West look exactly like the beautiful photos and video you see on our website & other marketing materials. Occasionally wind, waves, clouds or rain can have an affect on visibility. We do recommend those prone to seasickness take something prior to the tour, the tour goes seven miles off shore into open ocean where there is almost always some movement. We hope to have you back, maybe on one of our gulf side tours!

Not great Hannah was great, but nobody else

Mark_R, Feb 2026
I suggest you get some windshield wipers. The glass is very hard to see-through and I know this because we came back to Key Largo and took the princess. The most clear view of the coral just didn’t exist with you very poor. I think you should replace it with AI and no one would know the difference.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Hello, Mark. We are glad you enjoyed Hannah on the tour. We will take your comments into consideration, we are always looking for ways to improve. Please join us for a more interactive tour in the future, maybe snorkeling or even parasailing? I assure you AI cannot replace that!

Great experience!

Ashley_S, Feb 2026
We loved this tour. The staff were great! The narrator was very friendly and full of knowledge about the reef. The captain even turned the boat around on our way back to shore when we saw a pod of dolphins so we could get a better look.

Relaxing and Fun

Debra_S, Feb 2026

Fun, educational, and safe view of sea life!

Marilyn_F, Feb 2026
The glass bottom boat has an inside deck, so we were not subject to the outdoor elements on this particularly cold, windy day. Our tour director was knowledgeable and told us a lot about the sea life we were observing through the glass. It was fun, educational, and safe.

Great way to see the reef!

Constance_Q, Feb 2026
Fun to see the reef. The guide was very informative. We walked through the inside and out to the back and had a great view. When you get to the reef, sit in the side the interpreter is speaking from so when things are pointed out you can see it. We got lucky and saw dolphins. The captain circled around so we got a great view.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thank you for the review, Constance! We are so pleased you enjoyed your tour on the Glass Bottom Boat! We love that you enjoyed the narration and got to see dolphins, they sure are magical! You are welcome back anytime!

Rebecca_A, Feb 2026
Great information! No sharks but lots of fish. Nice crew that helped us look out for dolphins and shore sights!

Was just ok

DONNA_T, Jan 2026
Couldn't go out to reef due to weather conditions. Took different route out, was a little disappointed

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Hello, Donna. We’re sorry to hear that your experience was less than ideal. We never want to cancel or alter a trip, as we know our guests plan their vacations around these activities. Unfortunately, there are times when Mother Nature creates conditions that make visiting the Reef unsafe or uncomfortable. In those cases, we either have to cancel the trip or, as in your situation, select an alternate location. Our captains work hard to choose the best possible alternatives, which are typically calmer and still rich with marine life. We hope you’ll visit us again when conditions are perfect and we can take you out to the Reef.

JoAnn_B, Jan 2026
We learned a lot and saw lots of fish. The trip was fun. I didn't get sea sick which is unusual for me.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Thank you for the review, JoAnn! Yay, so happy you didn't get sea sick! We are thrilled you learned a lot and saw lots of fish! Please join us again!

Fun experience

Sam_S, Jan 2026
We didn't get to the reef because of weather but they did take us to a spot on the gulf side that had some interesting coral, sponge, and fish, and narrated well. Not as good as seeing the reef but we won't be here tomorrow so we couldn't switch days, though offered. It was a nice ride on the boat anyway

Review by disappointed passenger

Ethel_G, Jan 2026
The boat has uncofortable seating. The acoustics were bad . it was not possible to inderstand the operator's instructions and informationIabout the tour. The reef selected for tour was poverty stricken for interesting vegetation and variety of fish on display . The. Sounds of retching and barfing of seasick passengers increased the discomfort of this experience. With all of these annoyances I feel that this event is over priced and disappointing.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Hello, Ethel. We regret that you had anything less than an excellent time with us. We too are concerned about the health of our living coral reef. It is part of our core mission to educate and encourage protecting our reef from further damage. Everyone has a different tolerance level when it comes to seasickness, we feel for those who were not well. We will pass along the comments on the intercom system, we are always looking for ways to improve. We hope to have you out in the future on a calmer tour like our Island Adventure or Dolphin Watch and Snorkel!

Disappointing.

Helaine_L, Jan 2026
Uncomfortable boat. Had to stand to see anything. Boring reef. Hardly any fish. Bad acoustic system. Couldn't hear captain while engine running. Passenger retching and multiple babies crying did not add to the experience.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Hello, Helaine. We regret that you had less than an amazing experience with us. It is true that you have to move from the seats to see through the glass panels looking into the sea, this is to give all guests the opportunity to see the wonders of the reef. It is unfortunate that some guests were seasick and that there were some unhappy babies, all of our tours are family friendly. We will pass along the acoustics comments as we are always looking for ways to improve.

Chacko_V, Jan 2026
There are not much Corals or Fishes. The Corals needs to do to rebuild it. They are 90% dead. Those Calcified grounds are very old. How can we replenish ish. Few years back they were beautiful. We need to do something quickly. Your staff at the site and the Ship were excellent people.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Hello, Chacko. We are so glad you found our staff to be excellent! Thank you for taking the time to post your observation on the reef. We too are concerned about the health of our living coral reef. It’s part of our core mission to educate and encourage protecting our reef. We advise patrons to use only reef safe products and provide reef safe sunblock on all tours to help protect the reef from harmful toxins. Fury donates a portion of every snorkel ticket to reef restoration. Thank you for helping to spread awareness of the delicate nature of our coral reefs. We hope you will join us again and continue to support our efforts.

It was a very good experience. The glass bottom tour and the coral reef and the sunset view was exceptional.

Worth the experience

RAHUL_R, Dec 2025
It was a great experience - have seen something very similar in Puerto Rico during my visit. Wanted to take my family along for a ride and they loved it!

Poor parking

Tammy_G, Dec 2025
The parking for this event caused us to miss the boot and there is construction going on close to the entrance which caused even more delays

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Hello, Tammy. We regret you were not able to join us for this tour. Fury does not own any parking. It is all paid parking in Old Town Key West and this is communicated in our trip confirmation emails. We hope to be able to take you out in the future!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Dud of a tour. Would rather have spent my money at the Key West aquarium

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Hello, Melissa. We are glad you appreciated our friendly and accommodating staff. We regret that you had anything less than an amazing experience on the tour, it is always our goal to show everyone a great time. Perhaps next time you will join us for something a bit more exhilarating like parasailing or a jet ski tour? We do hope to have you back!

Jet skiing’s the best

Bhaskar_B, Nov 2025
Well guided tour. Since it was a windy day, the tides were really high. We had fun. My daughter also had fun, she was always complaining why we are the last ones. I said I’m trying to. This was our first Jetskii experience
