Great experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. This is an experience that works well for our family as the adults, teen, and child were all able to enjoy the activity without the usual ‘I am bored’ from any of them.

This kayak tour was fabulous. Ariana was an experienced guide and shared her knowledge of the waters we rode on, about the fish that swam beneath us, the birds that flew above us and the animals on the shores. We learned about the ecology and importance of the mangroves and even some about the winds and weather. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I did call to double check the availability, the agent told me it IS available and helped me book it. but later on the tour person told me they don’t have the tour at all on Saturday!

Thank you for the feedback. As per our conversation this is related to the fact that we have 24 hour before the tour minimum on booking reservations. We are a mobile company so if there’s not a tour already going out we are not always able to accommodate short notice reservations. That being said the viator agent(not a Salty Soul representative) you spoke to should have called us directly to confirm availability. I apologize for any inconvenience to you during your trip.

*2/2/23 Update: TripAdvisor as per my request (via email) has refunded you the entire payment. We contacted you 2 hours after you booked the tour to schedule it. You used Viator to book the tour and you booked less than 24 hours in advance. Here is their cancellation policy: “For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.” You advised us that the times we had available would not fit into your schedule. At this point you requested a refund. We advised you to contact the same booking agent that you used to book the tour because they have your funds, not us. After a tour has been confirmed, we can only cancel due to weather or emergency circumstances from our end. You would also need to contact them to make changes to the reservation. From our end, we can see that you canceled the tour via online self service yourself. If you’re reading this review, please call us directly to confirm available times if you’re booking less than 48 hours in advance. We cannot change other booking agents cancellation policies. We pride ourselves on great communication with all of our customers inclusively contact you after the tour to provide pictures and links for great local restaurants and things to do in the area.

Fantastic small group mangrove tunnels and canal at West Lake Park Miami

Ariana was a fantastic guide. I was thrilled only person booked for 11am tour group, had great, very personalized, time kayaking the canals and mangrove tunnels at West Lake Park. Learned a lot about red, white and black mangroves and the animals around there. Got to hold a mangrove crab and play with it for awhile, saw lots of different kinds of birds too. Didn't see manatees, dolphins or sting rays or sharks - but sure they'de of been there if gone earlier in the day Great time, well worth the it
