Probably the best dog mushing experience I could have. The staff were so friendly, knowledgable, and down to earth! The fluffy dogs were the best part. They were so sweet and cuter than a lot of other mushing experiences I saw. I highly recommend this business 1000% and this experience was one of the best parts of our Fairbanks trip.

Great tour. Tabatha was friendly, sociable. And very informative, teaching us a lot about the dog sleds. Was also very accommodating, changing the tour time so that the weather wasn't too cold. The dogs we so cute and friendly.

I booked and paid for a dogsledding tour more than a month in advance. The day before, they changed the arrival time, and on the day of the tour, they canceled without any explanation. It has been over 7 business days and I still haven’t received my refund. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable service. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company.

Greetings, my apologies that your tour was canceled and you did not get to experience this. We try our best to make accommodations for our guests based on the weather and trail conditions. If a tour operator makes multiple attempts by phone call, text messaging or email to contact you directly over the course of a number of days with no acknowledgement or response
back, and there is a major shift in our operations- a cancelation with refund is the result.
When you book through an online platform and not directly through the tour operator, you are at the mercy of their refund processes which may take extended times. We have no control of that to assist unfortunately. Please contact Viator directly for assistance.
As far as professionalism is concerned, multiple attempts are made to make sure guests are comfortable and get to experience this adventure safely.

Guides and dogs are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and their craft. It was a wonderful and seamless experience from beginning to end. If you have the time, I highly recommend booking a dog sled tour!!

We had so much fun on this adventure! Tabitha shared lots of good information about the homestead and mushing life. We all got opportunities to try riding on and driving the sleds. The trail was beautiful, and bonus even historic. Afterwards, photo ops, dog petting and delicious hot chocolate served up by a delightful "chef" and mushing assistant.

Due to extreme temperatures, safety was the first priority. Tabitha was very knowledgeable about the history of the area while we were sledding. It was a true authentic Alaskan experience, just what we were looking for, and we feel in love with all the dogs.

Wow! What an amazing time! Would strongly encourage anyone to come and enhance your time in Alaska with this one of a kind opportunity. The dogs were a delight and so well cared for. Tabitha and Wendy were so much fun to talk with and showed their true dedication and love for the job. The views were breathtaking and the ride was filled with conversation, laughter, and beauty. Amazing dog sledding experience! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the dogs were so friendly. When I got close, some of them even lay down and let me pet them, that’s so sweet. The staff is very patient and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. Highly recommend!

These are the cutest and most adorable puppies in Fairbanks! I had so much fun getting to know the puppies and the whole operation. They have a wide variety of Huskies, malamute and Inuits. Tabitha was very knowledgeable and I had a lot of time with the puppies and the ride was long and gives you plenty of time for the full experience. I will recommend this to all my friends and family to go experience.

This was a super fun and exciting experience. Tabitha was very helpful and welcoming when me and my parents came to Howling Bay Kennel for the dog sledding. She provided all information about the trail and the dogs. She also helped us with any additional gear that would be required since it was very cold that day. Dogs were very friendly, furry and cute and you can see they were cared by Tabitha. Puppies were very cute and excited as well. I would definitely recommend this experience for awesome dog sledding. Dress warm, especially face covering it's windy up there. Make sure you have transportation up there before you go. Bring hand warmers they really help.

This was my birthday trip and this experience did not disappoint. Tabitha is a legit musher who does races as a sport! And Danielle was so easy to talk to as I learned about the dogs and their care.
This experience was everything I hoped for and I’m so glad I chose this company to be part of my celebration.

We loved our experience with Tabitha and Howling Bay Kennel. She was very friendly and informative, and you could tell she really loved her dogs. Meeting (and petting) all the dogs was very fun; they were all so friendly and excited, and there were puppies! There wasn’t enough snow for a full sled experience but she took us out on the side by side atv and had the dogs hooked up to the front of it like a sled, which was still really cool. Getting to and from the kennels wasn’t an issue, I just reserved Uber/Lyft pickups ahead of time. I would definitely recommend this tour.

I’m so happy that I’ve been there, it really made my day!😍 Such a nice place in the heart of the nature and all the fluffy cute dogs! After a wonderful ride throw the forest, got the best pictures with them, and of course, to pet them :) I totally recomand. The sled dogs were so friendly we got to interact with them and they seemed to love the attention! Our guide was knowledgeable and gave us tips about where to find moose and where to chase the Lights! (Which worked by the way!). We had a fun experience which was also educational about the breeds of dogs and the history of sled dogging. Thank you!
