This is a long trip but totally worth it. The scenery was just amazing. Although I didn’t get to see a moose or any other wild animal, I think this was the best ride to the arctic circle. Don is an amazing guide. He was very informative and a safe driver. He really loves what he does and it shows. Don’t forget to bring cash to tip your guides! Highly recommend this experience! 10/10.

We can’t make it due to flight delayed, but the staffs was really kindly helping us to change our tour.

Standing inside the Arctic Circle felt like crossing an invisible line into another world. The cold was not just freezing it was beyond any level we had experienced, sharp enough to bite through layers and make every breath feel alive. The silence was immense, broken only by the crunch of snow underfoot and the distant hum of civilization pushing against nature.
Then the sky changed.
At first, it was subtle a faint green veil stretching across the darkness. Slowly, the Northern Lights awakened, dancing and rippling as if the sky itself were alive. Curtains of emerald and hints of purple flowed overhead, moving with a grace that no photograph can ever fully capture. In that moment, time stopped. It felt humbling, spiritual, and deeply personal like witnessing one of Earth’s greatest secrets.
Nearby, the great pipeline stretched endlessly across the frozen landscape, a powerful contrast between human engineering and raw Arctic wilderness. Seeing it under the aurora was surreal: a symbol of resilience and ambition cutting through one of the harshest environments on the planet.
The cold numbed our fingers, our faces burned, yet we didn’t want to leave. This was not just travel it was an adventure at the edge of the world, where nature dominates, silence speaks, and the sky performs a show meant only for those willing to endure the freeze to witness true wonder.

This tour is amazing. Although it involves a lot of travelling on the road, our guide Tim ensured we were kept entertained by the knowledge of the region. Many photo opportunities were given and ample time was given at every stop. Great tour, and would recommend this to anyone who likes to visit Arctic Circle.

It was an impressive experience to Arctic Circle guided by our guide and driver Shawn. Many things to see and to learn during the trip. There was even a ceremony when we arrived the Arctic Circle Monument Sign, cool! At midnight, our following guide Sarah accompanied us to wait for the northen lights. Although we did not see it due to weather, we appreciated her patience.

Highly Recommend! Our guide Shawn was amazing - knowledgeable, interesting, and a very skilled and safe driver! I was initially hesitant about a 16-hour tour, with over half of it being on the road….but it’s totally worth it! The time on the way to the Arctic Circle flew by as we had many interesting stops, and Shawn was always providing a narrative. Wish we got to see the Northern Lights, but we have a few more days here for that!

It was perfect. Jamie our tour guide was the best. He was so informative and interesting. He was so knowledgeable about all the things. Highly recommend this tour and request Jamie. The skies even parted at the very end before we got back to aurora base camp and we got some aurora viewing in on our last night in town. Spectacular!

We had an amazing Arctic Circle tour with Shawn during Thanksgiving, and it was an unforgettable experience! The bus was extremely comfortable, and all the seats offered great views, even the ones at the back. One of the best things was that they rotated seats throughout the trip, ensuring everyone got a chance to enjoy the scenery.
Shawn, our tour guide, was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, funny, and kept us entertained with his stories throughout the journey. He’s also a very safe driver, and we felt completely at ease the entire time.
We drove down the dalton highway, stopped to get some pictures of sunrise, saw trans alaskan pipeline, had lunch and dinner at yukon river camp, and clicked some pics at the arctic circle sign. A special highlight was when Shawn spotted a glimpse of the aurora on our way back, even though this wasn’t an aurora-viewing tour. He stopped the bus so we could take pictures, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
We later upgraded to the aurora experience since there were a few open spots, and we’re so glad we did. The view of the northern lights from the lodge was absolutely surreal—hands down the best experience of my life!
If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate. It’s a full-day adventure, but so worth it, especially with a guide like Shawn who goes above and beyond to make the trip special. Highly recommend!

This tour was by far the best I’ve been on. Will, the tour guide, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgable, had a great personality, and was very professional. Not enough space to describe how great this tour and guide was. Very much recommend anything the North Alaskan Tour Company provides.

We went with a group of 5 people and all of us unanimously agree that this tour was amazing because our tour guide Will was great. He gave us so much info about the land and the history. The tour was great too; really makes you happy that you don’t have to drive to the Arctic circle for yourself especially because there was snow on our way back. The bus was comfortable and spacious. The road was pretty bumpy but there were gorgeous views the entire time. We got to the see pipeline after a documentary about it which made it cooler. Walked the red carpet for the Arctic circle. All in all we enjoyed our experience.

My friend and I had an excellent time on the Arctic Circle Winter Drive Adventure! I would recommend it highly as it is a really cool and unique experience. The day is long, but it is worth it. Only warning is that people with dietary restrictions should bring their own snacks/food as there are limited options, but there are plenty of bathroom breaks and neat stopping points!
The day starts with stopping by a Safeway to get food for lunch and snacks for the road (there are other places to buy food en route, but it's instant noodle/jerky kind of food which would be difficult for people with dietary restrictions: BYO food). Our guide, Tim, was very knowledge and taught us a lot about the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline. We stopped to take a pic at the Dalton Highway sign, made it over to a little lodge with outhouses (no food in April), went to the Yukon River Camp (snacks, coffee, gift shop, flushable bathrooms) and had the awesome experience of walking on the frozen Yukon river, incredible. Then we made our way over to the Arctic Circle where we had some hot beverages and took a bunch of pictures. Tim was awesome and brought out a red carpet for us.
On the way back to Fairbanks we stopped again at the Yukon River Camp for coffee/dinner, dropped off the overnight crew, but Tim went out of his way to make multiple stops so that we could catch the Aurora Borealis. It was absolutely beautiful and I was very appreciative of his efforts. Since we got dropped off by shuttle in the morning, we were dropped off at our hotel at night by Tim.
Overall, it was an awesome time and I really enjoyed it. Can't recommend highly enough!

On food - yes, we really try to let any guest know with any type of restriction to know of the limits of what is available. Not always do we stop at a grocery store - when it is open we stop at the Yukon River camp for lunch/dinner. BUT, anyone with food/dietary restrictions it is important to know traveling to Alaska's Arctic will be a BIG area, with little variety on what is available to eat.
