Tour was excellent. A lot of driving (obviously) but Caleb made it fun. Very knowledgeable and pointed out quite a few fishing holes for us to hit the following day. Had a great time and would highly recommend.

It was a very long drive. Roads are not paved well so it was bumpy. It was nice to see the vegetation. Our guide was very good.
It’s an experience to get to the point but it’s far to go there for the experience. Lots of mosquitoes do make sure you take bug spray. We stopped at Yukon camp for dinner which was a good break. No other food so make sure you carry food for the journey.

Ryan was our tour guide ….. very accommodating and went beyond and above
Great driver …. The road was tough but he kept us safe back and sound ..,
Showed us Fairbanks and it’s history included …

Jake was our guide and he was very informative. It was a small group which is great for any tour. We also got to see some moose on the drive. It was absolutely amazing!

Delivered what was promised. 14 hour round trip to the Arctic Circle with a couple of stops on the way up and back. 10 guests in a 14 seater minibus, small seats with not much leg room. My seatbelt didn’t function properly and the air conditioning was not very effective. The driver/guide was primarily a driver with limited guiding skills/knowledge not helped by his headset not working properly making it difficult to hear what little he did say. However, he was an excellent, safe driver who handled the rough, challenging gravel road extremely well.

Our driver/tour guide, Jake, was perfect. He was very knowledgeable, easy to speak with, and has a great sense of humor. Our group felt he went out of his way to accommodate us and was constantly giving a little extra. So glad we took this trip to the Arctic Circle. We are ‘in the club!’

The van you take is kind of loud to begin with. The day started around 730 with a trip to a gas station/restaurant to order food for breakfast or anything you might want until dinner time around 430p. The first stop was a creek or something. Nothing but walking around in a cloud of mosquitos, no scenic views, just wondering why we're stopping... Next one was about the same but had a welcome to Dalton highway sign. I'd definitely recommend mosquito repellent at least for these spots.
The day picked up with a stop at one of the access points of the pipeline. That was really cool to see it up close and personal. There was another scenic spot where you walk on the soft tundra ground by finger mountain.
Last stop was the most disappointing at the Arctic Circle sign. It needs a coat of paint. The road is VERY rough going to the sign but I guess how can you not go once you're that far north?
The road in general is very rough and the van is very loud and squeaky. When you first start out you're sure the doors or the passenger seat will just fly off. I think if I knew it'd be so rocky I wouldn't have gone since I'm pregnant..
Dinner stop is at a Yukon river camp. The portions are actually huge and the pie was good. You stop here on the way up and back, which is nice for bathroom breaks with actual plumbing.
I think the trip could be a little shorter if some of the first couple stops were cut out. I think we would've liked to stop at the touristy pipeline stop as well as the access point as it was one of the coolest aspects of the tour. The tundra at finger mountain was my favorite stop and they even had wild blueberries. Our tour took about 14 hours beginning to end but it would be much longer if it rained or was icy!

Fascinating, fun trip with well-informed guide. A look into local lifestyle in a remote section of Alaska.

The van to get us to the Arctic Circle was nice inside but rode terrible, of course the road was awful. Our driver did her best to give us good information of the pipeline we stopped at & took the time to take pictures of our group.

Despite being a long ride, it was an awesome trip, because of our guide Randy, very informative, funny guy and informative. The scenery in the way was really beautiful. All the stops very memorable.

Dom our tour driver did not stop at all the stops and there was no commentary - the scenery was fantastic and stunning well worth the drive just needed a better tour driver.

Our guide Randy from 1st Alaska Tour was great ! He is very experienced in outdoor survival especially winter survival due to his prior experience in outdoor survival for the past 30 years not forgetting to add that he is a former US marine. During the trip, he gave us a lot of information on Alaska wildlife and share with us on his past encounters during his remote stay in the wilderness. He made numerous stops on the way to the Artic Circle for scenic views and photo shots, and on our way back we also manage to catch the beautiful sunset. I must say 1st Alaska Tour is a very good tour agency with experienced guides and strongly recommend using them for their professionalism.

Great trip. Gary our tour guide had lots of interesting facts to share with us. Even though it was a long day well worth the time.

Was a very interesting day. A lot of miles covered and Dave gave great commentary.

Complete waste of 12-14 hours. Nothing to see and nothing to experience. Yes, one can claim that she/he was on the arctic circle. That's all. The road was brutal and 10 hours on non-paved road took a toll on us.
Evelyn S, Aug 2017
Plan for a long day, but one filled with current facts, history, geographical information, panoramic views and stories of survival. The four in our party ranged from 12 to 69. Randy, our guide, provided us with an adventurous day.

My wife and I did this trip yesterday and this has to rank among one of the most wonderful trips we have ever taken. We were a little bit perturbed at the length of this trip this being a road trip but the time just flew by. Our tour guide Kaloeb was just amazing, full of knowledge, full of information, ever ready to show us his knowledge of the area and surroundings. His passion showed through and he made this road trip a very enjoyable one. Highly recommended.

My husband and I looked forward to this trip for months and I must say I was disappointed. I read all the wonderful review from previous clients and our trip just did not achieve the same standard. Our driver/guide was very nice and a good driver but as this was his first time taking a group to the Arctic Circle he was poorly organized and had little information to share with the group regarding the area and Alaskan history and lore. We did enjoy seeing the Alaskan Pipeline up close as well as Finger Rock and the surrounding rock outcroppings. There is not much to see at the Arctic Circle, basically the sign shown in the photo, but it was still a great bucket list thing to do. It is a long, bumpy drive, as we expected, and it would have been great to have had some ongoing dialogue from our Guide regarding what we were seeing during our 14 hour day. With a different Guide I would still recommend this tour.

This was an amazing tour. Cassie kept us entertained all day with her stories and facts about Alaska. She even had a special travel playlist for the drive up the Dalton highway. Everything about this tour felt personalized and was well done.

Our Arctic Circle tour was an amazing experience with a nice tour guide Randy, who was very informative and knowledgeable. This was our first day at Alaska and we had lot of scenic views en-route to the Arctic Circle. Do carry a light jacket as it gets cooler during the day and also wear fully covered clothes.
