Aaron was a great tour guide. I loved the information he shared and he willing answered all of our questions. The salmon burgers at the Yukon River Camp were amazing. Loved the snacks on the bus too. We were well taken care of. I never lost interest given it was such a long day.

Long trip, but enjoyed the experience , the scenery, and animal sightings! We had a beautiful day with only a little rain!

Thank you for joining us!

The trip is way too long on an uncomfortable bus on rough terrain. Motion sickness is a real thing and unless you have the two front seats your’re in for a very tough 16 hour drive.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
We are so sorry as it sounds like we had a failure to communicate the details of this trip.
YES. It is a full day - starting at 9:45 AM and not returning until 1 AM or later. This is on our website and in the tour program we provide all guests.
It is by ground by a tour vehicle and we practice seat rotation. Yes, if anyone is prone to motion sickness you may wish to reconsider this trip.
Again, we are sorry this information from our website and tour description didn't stand out for you and we appreciate you letting others know who didn't see the length of the tour and that it is a ground tour - to take precautions if you do get motion sick.

It was a wonderful adventure, one negative, is that food was not provided by host, there was a stop on the way to buy souvenir and food but the tour guide/bus driver did not announced that we could placed and pay for hot dinner orders, so as to have a hot meal on our way back down from the artic circle, that was very careless and taught less of the driver because she ordered her hot meal.

The ride and stops were just right. No rush in every stop. No food was included in the trip but we were provided with water, candies and few snacks/pre pack veggies which was a surprise to me. To step my foot on the arctic circle is an epic tour indeed. Certificate was also given at the arctic sign

Unfortunately the smoke blocked much of the view, but the scenery was great. The last video was definitely worth while and the stories about building the pipeline brought memories of the 70’s.

Thank you jeanne_c for joining us on your Midnight Sun Arctic Circle Drive Adventure. We appreciate you joining us and learning about the region -- yes, wish the smoke didn't block out your view and we are all hoping it goes away soon!

Alaska airlines canceled our flight 12 hours befor we were scheduled to take off causing us to cancel our entire two week vacation and lose our trips and lodgings. Sooo sad.
Response from Host, May 2022
We are sorry to hear the airline cancellation affected your vacation.

Our driver Tom was great and this organization has their act together. Fair warning to all who do this- the road is unpaved, therefore it is incredibly bumpy and loud in the van. If you have the money and the time, do the flying option. If you can’t, this is the trip you want. Very informative. Bring a pillow for the way back, it’s a long day.
Response from Host, Aug 2021
Thank you Craig_T for joining us for your Arctic Circle Adventure. And, thank you for sharing with others your experience and tips and tricks to enjoy the day....we like to say it is a full day (smile). Thank you again and best wishes for a bright fall. Kathy

Matt our drive/guide did an absolutely amazing job of keeping us informed and entertained during the trip. He is a careful and courteous driver and did an amazing job of driving during a rain storm at night. Very safe driver. We enjoyed everything about the trip. Well worth the money.
Response from Host, Aug 2021
Thank you Mary_I for joining Matt on your Midnight Sun Arctic Circle Drive Adventure. So glad you enjoyed the trip even with the rain. Thank you again, Kathy

our guide/driver Sabrina was wonderful! very informative & very focused on safety - learned a lot, had fun - it's a long day in the bus - make sure you bring snacks & bug spray! (FYI - you won't see a lot of wildlife on this tour but i picked wild blueberries & got a lot of great nature pictures!)

This trip was amazing! Our driver/guide, John, was very informative, charismatic, funny, and an all around great guy. Plenty of photo ops along the way. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Overall this is a great way to spend a day while visiting Fairbanks! Booking was super easy and everyone was very nice. The tour is very cool and very informative. The Yukon River is beautiful and the Arctic Circle is amazing.
My only feedback is the price. The trip is expensive and you also have to pay for food which isn't nothing.
Last piece of advice -- it can get chilly! Bring a warm layer or two.
Response from Host, May 2021
Thank you JTE for joining us on the Midnight Sun Arctic Circle Drive Adventure. Good advise -- LAYERS. No matter what time of year layers is always a good idea. We appreciate the feedback on meals for future consideration. Happy Travels.

This was really fun. It’s a very long day on the road, so prepare yourself for that, but all the stops along the way didn’t make it seem so bad. Stopping at the Yukon and the pipelines were welcome surprises and the food at the stop was amazing. Overall great experience... and how cool is it to say you went to the Arctic?!
Response from Host, May 2021
Thank you Diana_D for joining us -- so cool since you are among the 2 % of Alaska's visitors who go to the Arctic Circle. Thank you again for joining us and so glad you had fun.
