Hans is a terrific guide!

Noel, Oct 2025
It was great. Hans did a terrific job of explaining the history of the area. Also asked us about our expectations. Then tailored each stop to things we expressed interest in.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

We are delighted you had a great experience! It's fantastic to hear that Hans did a terrific job of explaining the history and, most importantly, tailored each stop based on your interests. We love that he took the time to understand your expectations! Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Gold Mine Excellent, But....could

Dave_C, Jul 2025
Guide, Laurel, did a fantastic job. Gold mine was exceptional, not much else though, in my opinion, too much time driving.

Response from Host, Jul 2025

Thanks for your feedback! We're thrilled to hear Laurel did a fantastic job as your guide and that the gold mine was exceptional. We appreciate your honest comments about the driving time; as you know, getting to these unique mountain mining towns from Denver does require some driving. We aim to balance that with unique stops like 45 minutes in Central City, an additional 15 minutes at the graveyard, and that special 30 minutes of gold panning, which followed your hour-long mine tour! What an amazing moment that your grandson discovered some gold during that memorable lightning and thunderstorm downpour!

The Colorado Gold Rush

Stephan_E, Aug 2024
We found the tour exhilarating as an occasion to come face to face with the real Americana - the Colorado Gold Rush. Our guide Will made the tour a comprehensive presentation of this page of the American history, weaving a captivating narrative on our way there. And a special bonus was the tour of the Phoenix mine with the charismatic Daniela, a true professional, with the knowledge of the mine and the mining process inside out, and more. So, we truly experienced the mine through her animated and captivating tour, including the tools and the process. In addition, she is such a vivacious and lovely person! A fascinating tour overall!

Response from Host, Aug 2024

Thank you so much! It sounds like you had a great day out with us and the Phoenix Mine. We love sharing Colorado's history and past with guests and appreciate you choosing to tour with us.

Great mine tour

Andrew_W, Aug 2024
Capital prize goldmine tours was great, the guide gave us all a really informative tour of the mine. Colorado sightseer guide was great too and drove us to all places of interest with lots of information about the towns.

Response from Host, Aug 2024

Thanks Andrew! We're so glad to hear you had a great time in the Gold Mine--its such a cool experience. Thanks for choosing to book with us and hope you can come back next time you find yourself in Denver!

Cool adventure!

Terry_W, Jul 2024
Great day! Tour was fantastic & our group was so fun. Our guide was so nice & did a great job thru a crazy traffic day. We saw & experienced a gold mine! How cool is that!

Response from Host, Jul 2024

Thank you Terry! We appreciate your patience with the traffic and are so glad you still enjoyed your tour and the gold mine!

Wonderful

Michael_C, Jul 2024
Great Tour good guide and exciting experience and had good tour stops lots of stuff to see was a wonderful experience

Gold rush was replaced with parks. Worth it.

Marvin_P, Apr 2023
The gold rush tour wasn't available so I was given the rocky mountains winter/spring parks tour. Definitely worth going on. Estes is a beautiful little mountain down. No complaints.

Mediocre tour.

Donald_B, Sep 2022
If you are going for a short trip and have limited time, this is an ok option to learn about the area and get the gist of how mining is done. But it's kind of tacky. I had taken a different all day tour 2 days before and it was extremely informative and covered a broad area. The gold mine is short. Time spent in Central City was nice, but we were there before everything opened (other than casinos). I'd recommend spending the whole day on a Rocky Mountain National Park tour.

Great Time with a Great Company!!

Daron_M, Jul 2022
The trip we took was just the four of us and one additional person that joined our group. Due to flight cancelations the other people had to cancel. The Owner guided our trip herself. The first thing she asked was our names and what we wanted to see on the trip. Due to the size of the group, she let us spend more time at the locations that we were more interested in. My 10-year-old son wanted to pan for gold all day!! The group talked over the amount of time we wanted to spend at each stop, and she was more than accommodating. We learned so much and had a great understanding of how hard life in the gold rush must have been. When we head back to Denver we are going to sign up for more trips. If you are on the fence and enjoy history, great views, and very nice family-owned business that wants to make sure you have a great trip you are in the wright place!!

Wonderful tour!

Pamela_R, Jun 2022
Absolutely terrific tour!!! Kristen had many historic tidbits to share that truly enhanced the experience. This tour is a must if you are in the Denver area.

Fun experience!

Erin_M, Mar 2022
So much fun! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and made sure to bring us to beautiful spots for photos. There was time for shopping in local stores, the van was clean and comfy, and we had a great time!

Amazing trip with down to Earth People.

Amanda_c, May 2021
A great tour that you can learn a lot on but relate to the stuff they are saying. They explain things well and make sure you understand and see everything. They go above and beyond to make sure to do more things that you are interested in. I highly recommend!
