We really enjoyed this class. It was interesting to learn the process and fun to visit while we worked. The name of the store needs to be included in the directions. Was a little tricky to find. When we signed up, it stated there would be alcohol included, but there was none. It looks like it has been corrected on the app, but we were a little disappointed.

Candle making class was great! Very easy and informative. Love the journaling component at the end! It would be great to see the store name in the description. For those attending, the class is on the 6th floor at the 900 N Michigan Ave Shops, store is called Reggie Hathorn.

If you are looking for an experience to relax, reflect, and reset this is a nice experience. Remember everything is what you make it and experience it for yourself. I enjoyed talking to my friend about what the scents reminded us of. We laughed, learned, and loved. Try it!

Mary Lou, First of all, thanks for coming to our space and we appreciate the kind words regarding the teacher and the process. We truly hate you feel that it wasn’t worth it for you. We are a mental health brand and we are all about creating a space where you can create and enjoy time with a loved one, by yourself or colleagues. The length of the experience varies by person or group. But at the end of it all, you get a personalized candle with a fragrance that you created for your personal space. And not only that, we provide journal cards and give you time to journal and reflect. For some, having that experience to create and reflect with loved ones is invaluable. Some of our guests take the entire allotted time and for others the experience is shorter. That seemed to have been the case for you. We truly hate that our mission failed with you and we didn’t at least meet the expectations you had in regards to the length of time. Everyone’s values and expectations are different. 😊 We have to do better at explaining our mission and setting guest’s expectations at the beginning of the experience. Thanks for this - we aim to be better for our guests. You presented us with something to work on. Again, thanks for coming and enhancing our space.

Fun! My friend and her 14 year old daughter went…lots of fun picking scents, then pouring our candles. Were at a table with three old high school friends who were friendly. We were definitely ready to get into less-scented air by the time it was over, so if someone is sensitive to smells they should be aware, but overall a really fun time!

It is a great idea and they are very organized but there were only my daughter and myself. The class was for 1 and 1/2 hour and we were done in 45 mins. Plus you offer cocktails. Next time spend a bit of money on the wine and do not serve Aldi grocery store $4.99 wine. Very poor. The class is super over priced for the time and the cocktails. I would not recommend this to anyone. Very disappointed . This was for a birthday gift. The most expensive candle I will ever have. $150 for the both of us. Very sad

Because creating a personal fragrance can take time. So we don’t want to rush the process. There will be times that guests complete this step of the process in a shorter time frame and it seems like that was the case in your situation. A fun activity for friends or family — the more the merrier!

Was looking for something to do with my sisters who came to town for Thanksgiving. This was so fun and we could not stop laughing as we sniffed all the oils and tried to figure out how to scent our candles. The process was very easy and they talk you through everything. We love out new candles and it was very special afternoon together. I would love to go back with my daughters-in law and granddaughters.
