Gods, Heroes and Myths

Dorian was very knowledgeable and made history come alive. She kept track of us , a small group of twelve and really jogged my memory about all the Greek gods and myths. She was easy to follow and spoke clearly. She obviously loves the Acropolis and Parthenon. I felt I knew all of these ancient building better because of her enthusiasm. She gave us frequent breaks and was especially great about pointing out restrooms and where to get water. We were there may 22and she said it wasn’t crowded but there were certainly lots of people. The guests were all very polite and orderly. We got to the Acropolis about 9:15 am maybe? Earlyish and it was never hot ( about 70degrees) so we’re were lucky. We followed all the instructions about wearing hats, sunscreen, bringing water ,etc and so we had an amazing experience. We did the add on of the Acropolis Museum, which was excellent and Dorina was a fantastic guide again for that. We also spent time at the cafe afterwards, just to rest a bit after the four hours of touring. then we went to see the excavation museum under the Acropolis Museum . That was amazing also for helping us understand how all different civilizations had used this place to live and work in . All if us are in our late sixties, reasonably fit and very glad to finally make it to Greece! Thanks for a great tour Dorina — a dream come true for me since I first started learning about the Gods and myths when I was 12 years old!

Outstanding Full-Day Athens Tour with Manos We had an outstanding full-day tour of Athens with Manos. From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and incredibly engaging. He brought the history of Athens to life in a way that was both educational and enjoyable, connecting the ancient sites, Greek culture, religion, architecture, and modern Athens in a way that made the entire day memorable. Manos was well organized, easy to understand, and very attentive to our interests and pace. He knew exactly how to structure the day so we could see the major highlights without feeling rushed. His explanations added real depth to every stop, and he was excellent at answering questions and sharing insights that we never would have gotten on our own. What made the tour especially enjoyable was Manos himself. He was warm, personable, patient, and clearly proud of Athens and its history. By the end of the day, we felt like we had not only seen Athens, but truly understood it better. I would highly recommend Manos to anyone visiting Athens who wants a first-class, full-day private tour experience. This was one of the highlights of our trip.

This experience was fantastic and a wonderful way to spend the day. The food was also fantastic and made during and specifically for our trip. The crew was friendly and very accommodating. Tip - Expect temporarily cooler morning conditions caused by wind exposure over open water and increased cloud cover. Wind chill and damp marine air may make conditions feel 5–10°F (3–6°C) colder than the reported temperature.

It is worth paying for a...

It is worth paying for a guide to take you through the Acropolis, around the Parthenon and through the museum. Our guide was so knowledgeable and was able to compare history to current day practices to enhance our understanding. Also, she summarised main points at various stages and gave us many opportunities to ask questions. She took us to the best places to take photos and didn’t just regurgitate facts that could be read on plaques or listened to. If you want history to come alive whilst exploring the artifacts, you’ll enjoy this tour.

This was a great tour. Our guide Selena was incredible! Super knowledgeable, she provide tons of information and used modern example to convey concept that were complex. We highly recommend her. Her personality is perfect for this type of tour. She was very careful to ensure everyone was comfortable and took care to find shade on a very hot day.

Fabulous day in Athens

Everything about our day was perfect! Andrea, our guide was right on time and so friendly and warm! He made us feel like family. We hit every important site in Athens. Andrea knew all the back roads and kept us on time and on track. He took us to a neighborhood coffee shop and bought us a nice treat. We also had a fabulous lunch. He was a wealth of information and shared a lot of personal information about Athens and his family. Our day exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this tour!

Great way to start our Greece Adventure

Really nice tour. Everything listed in the description was included. I do need to mention that the entrance fee to Poseidon was not included (20 Euros per person) Daneye was a great tour guide. The beach stop was nice snd good was reasonably priced and very tasty. A little cool in mid May but definitely worth the stop. Sunset on cape Sounion and Poseidon temple was beautiful. Overall great way to start our trip in Greece

Worth the Ride!

The trip is long, but they do a good job of trying to break it up with stops along the way both for food and comfort breaks as well as picture spots. The monasteries are beautiful and it is a very worthwhile trip. Maria our tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, she made the trip very enjoyable. She shared lots of info and you could tell she loved her country's history.
