The most amazing day!

We had the most amazing day beautifully planned by Spyros, our local guide! We hit the palace of Knossos early to avoid the long lines, then got to learn about the manufacturing of olive oil at a local mill! The olive oil is so tasty! Then we headed into the mountains to experience local culture of the Lasithi plateau by participating in strawberry picking, tasting local tea, visiting a local pottery master, and relishing the amazing local food at a charming tavern by the Lasithi windmills! We got a fair amount of exercise with the hike to the cave of Zeus, that way we didn't feel too guilty about how much food we ate! You will not regret this chance to delve into the local culture! Thank you Spyros and Nikos for a lovely day full of memorable experiences and for treating us like family!

Great overall experience. The guides were great and at times alone the route let you go as fast as you want while following the lead guide. Lunch is served at a nice Greek restaurant, with a snack break also included along the route. Great time and great photos taken by the guides!

Elafonisi is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen and I’m glad I chose this tour! An Amazing Way to Experience Crete’s History and Culture! We had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour! Marinos was our guide throughout the entire day, taking us from Knossos Palace to the Lasithi Plateau, Zeus Cave, local villages, and an olive oil tour. It was such a great way to experience both the ancient history and the culture of Crete. Visiting Knossos Palace was one of the things I was looking forward to most on our entire trip to Crete, and getting to finally experience it was incredible. For our time at Knossos, we were paired with a local guide who specialized in the site, and she was amazing. She shared so much history and context that really brought Knossos to life and made the experience even more special. Marinos was wonderful. He was organized, communicative, incredibly friendly, and so knowledgeable. Everything throughout the day felt seamless, and he gave us so much interesting background and context for the places we were visiting. We had tons of questions, and he happily answered all of them! We especially loved the little things he added along the way. At one point, he even pulled over on a mountain road to show us wild herbs growing nearby. Those spontaneous moments made the experience feel so much more personal and gave us an even better glimpse into life and culture in Crete. Marinos was also just genuinely pleasant to spend the day with. He made us feel so welcome, especially knowing we were visiting on our honeymoon, and we really enjoyed talking with him throughout the tour. If you want to see a lot of Crete while learning about its ancient history, culture, food, and everyday life along the way, we would absolutely recommend this tour!

We had a great time and highly recommend!

My husband, my best friend, and I went on Yannis’ Gastronomy Tour, and honestly, it was one of the most memorable experiences of our entire trip to Crete! We expected amazing food, but this tour gave us so much more. It was a wonderful journey through the history, culture, villages, and beautiful landscapes of Crete. Yannis took us to places we never would have found on our own, and each stop seemed to have its own fascinating story. We learned about Chania’s beautiful bay, the history of the area, stories involving spies and the old prison, and so much more. The monastery was absolutely beautiful and filled with history. What made everything even more special was having Yannis there to explain the stories and history behind the places we were visiting. You could truly feel how much he loves Crete and how proud he is to share it with others. And then there was the FOOD! 😍 We finished our day at a beautiful lake, where the food and drinks seemed to never stop coming. Everything was delicious, and we happily ate—and ate some more! It was the perfect ending to an incredible day. We laughed, explored, learned, ate an incredible amount of delicious food, and discovered parts of Crete we would never have experienced on our own. We left with full hearts, very full stomachs, and memories that we will talk about for years to come. If you are visiting Crete, do yourself a favor and book Yannis’ Gastronomy Tour! It isn't simply a food tour—it is an experience, a history lesson, an adventure, and a wonderful way to see and taste the real Crete. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Amazing excursion!

Beautiful scenery and friendly accommodating crew. What a relaxing trip enjoying the sparkling clear sea! Wonderful day excursion, lovely breakfast, lunch and afternoon fruits and snacks. Just enough. Only 1 thing, we did hike to top of Gramvousa…how could you not? But really need a lot more time for this challenging climb and to walk around the top for great photo ops a little more without feeling rushed.. We did it tho! Amazing. Suggest hiking boots or sneakers vs water shoes; definitely NOT sandals or water shoes if you choose to accept the mission. 😊

We absolutely loved this luxury catamaran trip from start to finish. The ambiance on board was fantastic — relaxed yet elegant, perfect for the occasion. Eclectic Dia Island Cruise

Manos and Dimitri were very accommodating and hospitable in this evening cruise to Dia. They did a lot to make it enjoyable for everyone even to the point of taking us to a separate lagoon where there were no jellyfish. They even made an effort to engage with each person. Food was delicious albeit we did have some inconsiderate 20 somethings that felt like they could eat as much as the way wanted like an all you can eat buffet with no regard for others that had not eaten. That was the only downside to the whole trip was that one couple. And you are going to have one in every activity. It was quite the eclectic cruise with couples from different parts of the world. About 10 people all together. Wonderful getting to know everyone. Water opportunities and equipment was ample. Beautiful views of Heraklion and Dia from the boat as well as flights coming in and out of the airport.

Definitely worth it if...

Definitely worth it if you want to visit these hard to reach locations without the chaos of a big tourist ship. Everything was well planned, and the boat had plenty of food, drinks, and places to hang out while sailing. And there are things to do whether you want to run up to the fortress in Gravmousa and swim to Balos lagoon, or just hang out on the boat. If I had to criticize something, I wish they'd separate smokers into their own tour, or make the whole thing non-smoking. We only had one smoker, and it was annoying enough. Not much space on the boat to get away from it.

This was such an amazing experience for my husband and I! We will never forget this sailing trip. It was a last minute excursion we booked and we didn’t expect it to be so beautiful. Dia Island is so picturesque and the water was incredibly beautiful. The skipper was also amazing and so kind. The food they provided was delicious!
