We purchased this after a small group walking tour of Athens canceled on us at the last minute. We were just looking to get highlights of the city and get our bearings. Had no issues getting this to work, but each of the audio clips is about 1 minute long. So you really don’t get that much info at each stop. And with 100 little dots to find it was just a bit overwhelming — especially if you don’t really know yet what is important and what isn’t. After using for about 5 or 6 stops, we ended up downloading the FREE Rick Steve’s Audio Europe app and using that as an audio guide instead. It has just 20 stops for its city walk and the map was much easier to use.

Let me summarize: 1. You would have liked even longer versions of each clip. We're working on alternative versions of each story. 2. You found the 100 stories a bit overwhelming on the map. We're introducing filters so that you can filter more according to your preference (such as top sights etc.). 3. We're introducing thematic routes so you can use the map to navigate around your stops. Hopefully this will solve the points you raised. Didn't work for me

The service didn't work for me at the time I needed it to. I didn't get the code when I was at the venue so I payed at the venue, I lost my money using Viator 😢.

Hi Anna! I'm sorry that it did not work out as planned for you even though I tried to help you via email and whatsapp. The service worked for all other travelers that day and my advice for possible coming visitors is to do the three registration steps beforehand and activate your access time whenever it suits you so that there is no last minute stress. But I will of course refund you straight away since I do not want you to feel that you lost any money. I will confirm this via whatsapp.

When visiting Athens it would be silly not picking up the stories behind all the epic, historical buildings, monuments, people and events. Trales audio guides let us do just that and covered everything from Plato and the Akropolis to the 2004 Olmypics and the financial crash. Great way to learn about Athens without feeling overly touristy as you would in a big group or similar. Do recommend!
