Honestly, I felt a little misled by the description. My tour guide was very nice but definitely not an expert in Greek mythology. I felt like for the price, we should have been with a tour guide who was an expert. What we got was more akin to any general acropolis tour and for the price it did not feel worth it and I had such high hopes for this! Was really looking forward to it and left disappointed

Dian was amazing. She made the acropolis and agora trip fun and interesting. She was also very helpful with my 85 year old who was in attendance. Finding shade and places for him to sit as she weaved her stories about Greece. It was an outstanding excursion.

Our tour guide Kalli was knowledgeable without drowning us in information. She told great stories and kept it moving, but with plenty of time for pix and always the offer to be the photographer. Going at 5pm was perfect. Great light, not as hot and a fraction of the crowds!

I do not recommend this tour at all. I specifically booked the tour because I hoped I would learn more about Greek mythology in connection with the Acropolis, but the guide did the exact same stops as all the other tours and groups. I listened to the free audio guide afterwards and it was actually way better than the tour. I also booked the early tour in hopes to beat the crowds, but because the guide/group was very slow (partially also thanks to the Americans in flip-flops), we only reached the top around 9:30 and had to queue just to get to the top. So: save your money, download the free audio guide and make getting up early actually worth it.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry the tour did not meet your expectations.
Our tour explores the history of Athens through Greek mythology, alongside the archaeological significance of the Acropolis, although we understand that different travelers may prefer different levels of emphasis on each aspect.
While we schedule our tours early in the day, visitor numbers at the Acropolis are beyond our control and queues can occur even in the morning.
Thank you for joining us and for sharing your thoughts.

Great experience for those who want to know about Greek mythology. Lots if walking so wear your comfortable shoes and plenty of water on a hot day.

I highly recommend using this company for guided tours. It was very informative and you appreciate the Parthenon much better.

Angelica was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging as a tour guide. We had a wonderful time, learned so much about the history and the mythology behind these marvels, and even got a few fun tips about things to do during our stay. Beyond pleased with this tour and our experience!

Very good and knowledgeable tour guide. Well worth the time and money. I learned a lot in four hours. Would definitely recommend.

Alex was an outstanding guide. He had a great knowledge of the sites and shared his excitement with the rest of us; he made it very accessible whether you had limited previous knowledge or in-depth knowledge of the history. Highly recommend.

Guide did a great job with the mythology, and even better with helping to avoid the mob and other your groups. I wish there was a bit more historical context, but it was mostly mythology which is the title

We were led by Danai. She was engaging, funny, and, most of all, educational! This is a perfect activity for a quick overview of some of the most important and culturally significant spaces in Athens. Danai was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had a knee replacement six months ago, and it was a lot of walking but very manageable.

The tour of the Acropolis Hill and the Agora was so interesting. I had studied the history of ancient Athens in college and it was amazing to see these places in person. Our guide was very engaging and she added much to what I had learned before.

The tour was great. Our guide Marika was very accommodating. We had several stops along the way to the Acropolis where she combined the mythological story with the historical one. The crowds were not as thick as I imagined and we had ample time for photos and questions .

Very hot potentially. Not great spots for sitting down. Other than that, fantastic tour guide (Michael) and sights. Go early if you can.
Susan_W, May 2026
Our tour guide Athena did a great job and her stories about Greek mythology were very entertaining. It was a special way to experience the Acropolis.
Lois_L, May 2026
The tour was excellent. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I liked the mythology focus.
Laurie_K, May 2026
The guide was knowledgeable about the site. Wear good walking shoes with a great tread. The area is uneven and slippery.
Maddie_K, May 2026
We met our guide under the Arch of Hadrian. After gathering the group (about 14 people), we headed to the Acropolis entrance and began the tour. It lasted a little over two hours, including time to get everyone through the line.
The guide was organized, using a map and managing tickets for the group. We made around 8 stops along the way, where they shared context about different areas. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and answered questions clearly.
It was quite cold and windy, especially as we climbed higher toward the Parthenon. Once we reached the top, the guide gave a brief overview and then allowed time to explore, take photos, and leave at our own pace.
Overall, it was a well-run tour and a good way to learn more about the history and mythology of the site.

Our guide was excellent - knowledgeable, easy to understand, and very organized. The tour was possibly a bit too long but we still enjoyed the experience.
Jennifer_C, Apr 2026
The tour guide we had was engaging and was very knowledgeable. We really appreciated how she described the myths and then explained how the ancient people used them to understand their culture and natural world. This was far better than trying to understand the very long and complicated history ourselves, and was an excellent way to see many important sites in a single package. The pacing was very good and the small group was very appreciated.

Wonderful experience learning about the gods and demigods mixed in with the history of athens throughout the years.
Lucy_S, Apr 2026
Maritsa was an impressive tour guide. The tour consisted of myths and then the real history and she engaged with the group. She was great at pointing out slippery and uneven walking areas with consistent reminders.
She was also soft spoken which was great because we focused on her and not the other crowds. She let us know in advance what we were doing next. We were all scared about climbing up to the Acropolis but we took frequent stops and it included ramps and walking paths, not just straight steps. All in all we had a great morning.
Lindsey_M, Apr 2026
Marika was an amazing guide. Great tale-telling and always made sure we were well looked after. I was so glad we did this tour.
markmackimm, Apr 2026
We thoroughly enjoyed our four hour walk tour.
Our Guide was able to seamlessly describe the history of Greece and how the gods influenced their society. The time went by so quickly, and I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting Athens.
david_b, Apr 2026
Quite strenuous walking 11000 steps and a hill climb. Great commentary and a mix of real history and mythology. Elena was a great guide with energy and stories.
Gina_C, Apr 2026
This was my first tour of the acropolis. I appreciated having some mythology sprinkled in. Honestly I'd love it if the company offered a more in depth mythology tour/ experience.
Diane_F, Apr 2026
Great walking tour. Need to be moderately fit and good shoes.
Guide amazing brought the past into perspective
Viross5000, Apr 2026
An excellent tour - our guide, Vicky, was super knowledgeable and presented all our stories in a really engaging way. Nice to have a little time for photos at the top of the acropolis, and a generally a good pace. Would definitely recommend.
Isil_O, Apr 2026
It was a very informative and fun experience thanks to our tour guide. It is a special place to visit.
