Phevos was a wonderful tour guide! He was so knowledgeable, entertaining and kind. Our family of adults and teens thoroughly enjoyed everything that we learned and seeing all of the amazing sites in Athens. Don’t miss this tour!

Our guide, Dora, captivated the imagination of our six grandchildren and held their attention for nearly three hours—a remarkable accomplishment. Through her engaging storytelling, she brought the mythology, history, and significance of the Acropolis and the Parthenon to life, making the experience fascinating for every member of our group, from the youngest to the oldest. Dora is an exceptional storyteller, an outstanding teacher, and a gifted guide. We highly recommend her

This was a great experience! Our tour guide Vikki was very knowledgeable and experienced. This tour was a great way to see the connection of the gods and goddesses and the places created for them. I would highly recommend this experience if you are interested in mythology! Make sure to take water with you!

This is a good excursion for a morning visiting the most fabulous ancient place of Athens. We had a great guide and the time for the activities is well coordinated

We had a great experience with Michael on this tour! He was great at pacing through all of the many sights, so we never felt rushed or like we were waiting. He was great at telling all the stories and making them come alive. It was so helpful to be able to pre purchase entry tickets as well. This tour will let you see all the main historic sights with entertaining background. Highly recommended!

Very family friendly tour. Our 8 yo and 12 yo enjoyed the tour, the mythology stories kept them engaged. The pace was reasonable and our 5 yo was able to keep up easily. We stopped multiple times for bathrooms, water, and gelato.

Tour guide knowledgeable and professional. Gave great insight and context to what we were seeing. Group was 15 which was manageable.

This was absolutely the best experience! Highly recommend it if you want to get the most out of your visit.
Cecily_B, Jul 2026
Our guide was amazing! An archaeologist and Athenian, she was able to couch all of the mythology in the real life situations they were representing. Highly recommend! Definitely wear comfy shoes, bring water, and wear sunscreen!
Kristin_S, Jul 2026
The tour was awesome! Vasiliki was outstanding! We got a great perspective on Athens, history, and mythology. She really helped me understand things in a way I hadn’t before. While it was hot, she did a good job of trying to keep us in the shade as much as possible. Definitely wear good shoes and bring lots of water!

We are a family of mature adults traveling with our elderly but very fit mother. This tour wasn’t the best. Our guide seemed very rushed from beginning to end. We included the museum portion which wasn’t worth it. The climb to the top was a little slippery, very narrow and you had to watch your footing. Our guide was focused on giving us a LOT of information but very little time to absorb it. She did make an effort to stop in the shade but each time she talked for 10 to 15 minutes or more and then took off quickly. We constantly had to catch up and often fell out of range of the ear pieces they distributed. So we missed a lot. The Parthenon was wonderful and the view is amazing! You shouldn’t miss it. We had 15 minutes free time at the top to enjoy it. My 83 year old mother was able to make the climb quite well. But all of us (in our mid 50’s) would have preferred less information and a slower pace so we could enjoy the view and remember the stories.

Hello! It looks like you may have posted your review for the wrong company. Our Mythology tour doesn't include the museum, so we believe this review was intended for a different tour operator :)

Great company. We were running late and they coordinated a new meet up spot. Guide was very knowledgeable

Had such a great time learning more about Greek mythology on our honeymoon. Would highly recommend our tour guide who made the experience what it was. Thank you!

Wow! What a great tour! Antonia was extremely knowledgeable about everything Athens and Greece. Whether it was anthropology, archaeology or Greek mythology she informed and entertained all of us. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
Julian_P, Jun 2026
Great tour experience of some of the best sites in Athens. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and informative. My five year old daughter loves Greek mythology and enjoyed the tour.
Cherie_O, Jun 2026
Amazing history combined with Greek mythology. The walk can be a bit challenging at times, but I saw people of all ages and fitness levels managing. The guide reminded me of “my big fat Greek wedding “ ….comes from the Greek word…. Hehe
TerriAnn_J, Jun 2026
Amazing exploration of Acropolis, Agora and temples in between. Danae was an amazing tour guide providing context, stories and kept everyone entranced and engaged. Would definitely recommend.
Emma_H, Jun 2026
Intriguing tour with lots of info with the Greek Gods along the way - lots of stops for informative talks and tales which was great and made the walk up the hill easier than anticipated. Great to be in a smaller group (14 in total). Four hours all together with 3 for the acropolis - I would think that the 2hr tour would be quite brutal speed wise 🤣 thank you Helen for being wonderful
Rob_M, Jun 2026
This was such a great tour. I loved learning the mythology aspect of the Acropolis. Stalios was a great and knowledgeable guidance had plenty of breaks and everything went smoothly. There are a lot of stairs but very doable. Definitely worth the price.
Caren_J, Jun 2026
Very knowledgeable guide. She provided relevant historical information but also kept it interesting so it wasn’t a boring history lesson. It was hot and crowded and she managed to move us along while also giving us regular breaks.
Rebecca_S, Jun 2026
The tour was absolutely amazing, led by the brilliant Vasia. She went at a great pace and told some great stories. My partner and I loved it
Hana_T, Jun 2026
We really enjoyed getting to see the Acropolis, Agora, and Parthenon! It was a warm day, so plan accordingly as you have to ascend many many stairs.
Andrew_P, Jun 2026
Take this tour if you are in Athens! It is an easy walk to the top of the Acropolis and there are a lot of stops along the way as our awesome guide Michael told us about each section of the historical site. Our son really enjoyed all of the detailed descriptions of the Greek Mythology behind the existence and construction of each temple or monument. The smaller group size of just 12 people per group was also a benefit as we were easily able to stay together. We highly recommend this tour!
Jacqueline_S, Jun 2026
It really is a big climb so you need to be ready for it! Worth it for the experience and views although I did the Unexpected Athens tour the next day and enjoyed it more. Good to do both for a pretty in depth exploration of the city.
Amy_G, Jun 2026
love love loved this tour! heavily recommended it to all of my friends and family immediately after. our guide, christina, was incredible
Amanda_T, Jun 2026
Honestly, I felt a little misled by the description. My tour guide was very nice but definitely not an expert in Greek mythology. I felt like for the price, we should have been with a tour guide who was an expert. What we got was more akin to any general acropolis tour and for the price it did not feel worth it and I had such high hopes for this! Was really looking forward to it and left disappointed
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Amanda,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations.
We would like to clarify that this tour is designed as a mythology-focused tour, with approximately 60% of the content dedicated to Greek mythology and 40% to the historical context of the Acropolis and Athens. This balance is reflected in both the tour description and the many reviews from guests who have particularly enjoyed the mythology aspect of the experience.
Our guides are trained to present mythology in an engaging and accessible way while also answering guests' questions about the history, archaeology, and monuments visited during the tour. As every group is different, guides naturally adapt to the interests and questions of participants, which can sometimes influence the emphasis of certain topics throughout the experience.
We are happy to hear that you found your guide friendly and knowledgeable, although we regret that the tour did not align with the type of mythology experience you were hoping for. Your feedback is valuable and helps us continue to refine both our tours and how we present them to future guests.
Thank you again for your comments, and we wish you all the best with your future travels.

Dian was amazing. She made the acropolis and agora trip fun and interesting. She was also very helpful with my 85 year old who was in attendance. Finding shade and places for him to sit as she weaved her stories about Greece. It was an outstanding excursion.
Carol_F, Jun 2026
Our tour guide Kalli was knowledgeable without drowning us in information. She told great stories and kept it moving, but with plenty of time for pix and always the offer to be the photographer. Going at 5pm was perfect. Great light, not as hot and a fraction of the crowds!
