What are people saying about Athens

A must see!
It’s wonderful and well worth the time and money. There are a lot of stairs and you should be physically prepared, however there is no rush and you can enter and tour the monasteries at your own pace.
The trip is long from Athens. You should plan on about a 14 hour day with 4-5 hours of travel time each way. They make a 30-40 minute stop for food, drink, and restroom on the way. There’s a lunch stop at the base before you begin your ascent (by vehicle) up to the monasteries, and a stop for dinner on the way back to Athens.
Anyway, plenty of opportunities for food if you want to eat, and restroom breaks.
The tour guides are amazing and supply lots of stories and historical information. The building of these monasteries is an incredible feat on its own. The fact that many are still operational and inhabited by monks and/or nuns is also amazing.
Do it! You won’t be sorry!

Meteora Bus Tour
This was a great experience. It is a long journey but it is worth it. Seaside breaks for food was nice. Restaurant right on the water. Well organized as far as food . Order on the bus and food is ready when you get there.
Meteora was beautiful from the mountains and monasteries. I would recommend this tour

Great tour of the Acropolis & Pantheon
Dorina was an excellent & knowledgeable tour guide. She was considerate & looked after the group. She negotiated the crowds for a group & gave us lots of pictures & thoughts going back to ancient times. The tour of the museum was excellent as she took us to the important parts that related back to our tour of the Acropolis & the Parthenon

Unlock the Transformative Moments of an Athens Tour that Reveals its historic Highlights
Thoroughly comprehensive and informative. Our tour featured two guides: one expert guide dedicated to the Acropolis who provided extensive knowledge, and another who conducted a city tour, incorporating key site visits, including the changing of the guards. We highly recommend this tour for its efficient format, utilizing a combination of car travel and walking to cover significant ground in half a day, thereby maximizing experiences.

A great day trip from Athens
Fantastic trip to Delphi. Elizabeth was a wonderful guide with a wealth of information as an archaeologist. We didn’t realize how much training these guides had to undergo and appreciated how much more we got out of the visit thanks to her. It was about 70 degrees F and sunny — a beautiful day. We were glad it wasn’t any hotter. Definitely recommend a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face and neck. Also bring sunscreen and water. We chose to climb up to the stadium, and it was well worth it. The water came in very handy after that trek. We also loved the little village where we were taken for lunch. We chose to not purchase the included lunch and found a place on our own. There are plenty of choices, many of which were much quieter which was more to our liking. We also recommend climbing to the top of the clock tower after lunch for spectacular views and photos. So far, this tour was a highlight of our trip.

We had a great experience...
We had a great experience with the bike tour. We did not know Athens before and found ourselves in a wonderful experience throughout Athens City with our guide Nick. A Dutchman who fell in love with Athens. We saw the historical parts naturally, with a fantastic explanation, however we also learned a lot of other things about the city. It is a trip (more than) worth taking.
Do not hesitate to book with WeBike Athens.

Great your of the Acropolis and the Ancient Agora
This was an excellent tour. Our guide was Ermes who had a very good knowledge of Ancient Greek history- the information was about right- neither too less, nor too much. Ermes was friendly and courteous , plus very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommended this tour to anyone who visits tge Acropolis and the ancient Agora

A perfect start to a perfect weekend in Athens
We took this private tour the first morning of our long weekend in Athens and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. As a family group of 7 it seemed like the best tour to do. Giannis our guide picked us up first thing in the morning and the Acropolis was our first stop. I strongly recommend that the Acropolis is visited as early as possible in the morning to avoid the crowds and (if applicable) the heat. The guide gave just enough information before he dropped us off and that left us free to meander in our own time around this truly remarkable archeological site. The rest of the the trip was a really fun tour round the other important sites and things to see. It was spot on for setting us up with a general feel and appreciation of the city and is perfect for anyone passing through or on a short stay. Giannis - our guide was super friendly, well informed and very flexible. 10/10

Excellent trip with a knowledgeable guide
We had a fantastic trip to Delphi and Arachova on 27 October with our very knowledgeable and informative guide (Dimitrios of Keytours). He brought the stories, the historic remains of Delphi and museum exhibits alive. He went out of his way to look after guests on the tour. Thanks also to our excellent driver Stelios. This is a fairly long day-trip, with quite a lot of driving from Athens, so the actual time in Delphi is slightly limited but we saw all we wanted to see. There are options of lunch at a restaurant in Arachova (which we didn’t take on this occasion, to allow for more sight-seeing) plus a short stop at a preferred partner shop before leaving Arachova on the way home. Overall, the trip was well-organised, ran to schedule, included all elements as-advertised and we had a memorable time. So much so, that my family booked a second tour (to Mycenae, Nafplio and Epidaurus) the following day with the same operator and guide! (Which unfortunately was full so I couldn’t get on it myself but they had an equally enjoyable experience!).

Great tour even in the rain
We took the Acropolis tour and the museum tour with Maria. She was excellent and provided much information we would not have otherwise been exposed to. It rained during the entire tour, but they provided rain gear for all. The Acropolis is naturally very slippery due to the terrain ( hilly and lots of marble), but the rain made it more difficult. Maria was undaunted by the weather and maintained ongoing commentary. She was also very patient and took extra care to assure we were all okay. Great tour even in the rain!

Three tours in one!
This experience is like three tours in one! We had a fantastic day with a very knowledgable guide. The first part was a walking tour through the city, then we met up with more people before heading up to the hill to the ruins and ended our day with a tour of the Acropolis museum (which was only the two of us with our guide). I highly recommend going to the museum to get a better understanding of what you see at the ruins site. Tina walked us through the museum and did an excellent job of making the connections between what we had just seen throughout the ruins and the museum exhibits. We greatly appreciated that we were not rushed and that our guide spent extra time with us to make sure we saw everything. Tina's pride in her country, as well as, her love of history and mythology was evident throughout the entire day.

Exceeded my expectations
I ate breakfast before the 9:30 tour- big mistake!! I couldn’t enjoy all the food they gave us, which included large sesame pretzel type thing, charcuterie with three kinds of homemade sliced meat, feta cheese and a delicious cheddar type cheese, wine and raki, fresh grapes (the best ever- so sweet and fresh they popped when you bit them, a beef sandwich called a slovakia or something like that, and lastly a fried dough covered with honey and cinnamon. We had to walk to each place, so went through many different neighborhoods. Besides these two places, we went to a honey and olive oil tasting and a tasting for Greek liqueurs. In the honey and olive oil place, I bought some honey/based creams. Our guide Micki (Nicki?) spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable and nice. Our group of 8 got along very well. Lots of exercise and good food! It exceeded my expectations
