Best way to see the city. Highly recommended. I haven’t been on the Piraeus or coast lines yet but will be doing those over the next few days. Yesterday spent the whole day seeing the sights on the Athens line and it was spectacular.

we Actually need ableto change the date until the 13th when we met the bus they changed the ticket for us. Was unhappy that when we called via Tour, they would not do anything then on the 13th. We were not told there was a strike for three days so some of the bus stops did not run. We waited on a seven for almost an hour and then finally called and they said oh sorry the bus can’t get through because of the protest/strike that was very aggravating. We had to walk when we paid for a ticket. The next day some roads were closed again because of the protest/strike very dissatisfied.

The bus we took was the Athens Line with my two grandchildren, it took us all around so we could get our bearings. Make sure you plug in your free headphones and find out a wealth of knowledge about the City. I would definatley use this Bus again and next time I come to Athens I will go on the other two lines to explore more.

Our experience was amazing!! Not only was the route perfect but I left my wallet on the bus by mistake and when I realized I called the customer service number and spoke to a lovely woman who said she would alert the possible drivers based on my route and track it down for me. She asked me to call back in 10 min and she would have an update. As promised she not only had an update but George X (driver) had found it and gave it to a manager who would have it waiting for me to pick up. I got the wallet back easily at the agreed upon stop and all contents of the wallet were there. Thank you George!!

It never came waiting in the rain with kids

Friday Nov. 28 waiting in the rain for the shuttle to come by it never came. I was waiting outside with my kids. Waiting from 8:40 am until 10am I had to buy another bus voucher to a different company because it never came. They wouldn’t give me my refund of 65€ euros . I would always ride this company wherever in the world I travel too. But not anymore .

The sightseeing is a must if you want to chill, not rush, and have a good city ride in the bus. The audio guide doesn't quite work, mine had one earpiece working and not the other, and it doesn't seem to follow the stops made. However, for a relaxing no time constraint ride, it's good.

The BEST way to get an overview of the city of Athens. We did that and then went back around a second time because then we had a better idea of the sites we wanted to walk to. The pass is good for 24 hours. It takes approximately 1 hour to make the rounds. Highly recommend.

If you have any mobiity issues, these buses are not for you. Not only te stairs are steep andyou cannot climb to the topfloor but even getting to the bus is difficult since there is no step to help you get in. The windows on lower floor prevent you from seeing much due to the painted glass window

Poor company transparency

The bus drivers were helpful on the two lines we rode on. However, the Athens Marathon was this weekend and buses weren’t running on full schedules due to many closed roads. I am sure that the Hop On / Hop Off bus company was aware of this long before the weekend of Nov. 8-9th. I think the company should be forthcoming with information that impacts their services. We basically paid $72 for 48 hour service and used it once on Saturday for about 90 minutes. Using the earplugs was useless because the recording didn’t correspond with the locations.

I commend the drivers of the buses. They were very helpful and friendly. The trouble was there was a marathon for 2 days. Roads were closed so routes were limited and some stops were eliminated. Traffic was congested and took longer to get around. But the drivers were very helpful in getting us off at the places we needed to go .

Always love a hop on hop off. By all means it was NOT the best we’ve been on before as it was extremely difficult to follow the recording. The recording did not follow along with the sites we were seeing.
