Excellent way to see a selection of highlights. You don't travel too far and anyone who can ride a bike can cope with it. Guide, Marcus, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Loved seeing the sights. Good weather for it at the end of February. Cool but sunny, making the riding easy.

Itinerary

Your cycling adventure starts just steps away from the Acropolis metro station, where you’ll get fitted with your traditional or electric bike and helmet. Then set off with your guide and a small group to pedal along a bike-friendly route past the Acropolis Museum to the National Observatory, where you take a break to walk to the scenic overlook and take in bird’s-eye views of the city.

Continue on to cycle through Thiseio and past the Kerameikos Cemetery and Roman Agora—with a pause to snap a photo—followed by the Cathedral, Plaka neighborhood, and a panoramic point with views over the Acropolis and Parthenon. The final stretch of the biking itinerary takes you past the Presidential Mansion, Panathenaic Stadium, and Zappeion Conference & Exhibition Center, before ending with the Arch of Hadrian and returning to the meeting point.

We always love starting our tour of a city with a bike ride. Great way to know the city. But the success of a bike tour and in this case the added Acropolis archeology tour wouldn’t be complete without a great Guide. Demos was our guide and he was excellent. A bike enthusiast and historian all rolled up in one what a perfect combination for this tour. Highly recommend this tour and especially Demos our guide

Off roads, no reason to fear risk from drivers. We did this in EARLY APRIL, so later in season may be more pedestrians. Tour guides, George & Karl were great! Bikes were in excellent condition as well.

I am not one to rave about tours but our guild made this tour so fun. We were left high and dry when our private bike tour cancelled on us last minute. I am a huge fan of the city bicycle tour experience, having done a few (Paris, Palais de Versailles, Washington DC, Warsaw and now Athens. Athens by Bike, is the best one so far. It is one of the best, healthy ways to get to know a city in a short time. Google tips are good, but nothing beats briefly experiencing the places that are worthwhile visiting and doing. The Athen by Bike, certainly does this best in my experience, so far. As the title of the review suggests, Dimitris is a fun entertainer and very knowledgeable about Athens. He is the best guide I have had so far. Cycling through the inner city, markets and cafe was awesome. Excellent timing and excellent tips about Athens. :-) Efcharistó Dimitris, come for a surf in Australia again...
