Our main pub crawl is designed as a lively, high-energy social experience, especially on peak weekend nights like the one you joined.
Some evenings are more intimate, while others bring a bigger crowd of travelers who are specifically looking for that larger party atmosphere. The possibility of a larger group is reflected in the experience description, photos, and stated capacity.
When the group is larger, our hosts adjust the flow and timing of the night to keep things organized and make sure guests are looked after at each stop.
We understand that a bigger group setting is not for everyone.
👉For travelers who prefer a smaller and more intimate experience, we also offer our Rooftop Pub Crawl, which is designed with a more limited capacity and a different atmosphere.
Regarding the mix of guests, this naturally varies from night to night and cannot be guaranteed. That evening happened to be less typical due to the makeup of the group, but most nights bring a very international and naturally balanced crowd.
We’re sorry to see such a low rating, especially since the group size was within the clearly stated capacity of the experience and our hosts worked hard throughout the night to keep everything running smoothly.

First pub crawl I've ever done so didn't know what to expect but it ended up being a great time! Had a great mix of people from around the world for vacation but also a few locals who've lived in the area for a while.
First place is the we went was the chill start where you buy a drink and get to know your group and find out who you're interested in hanging out with. Second place is the place to start drinking hard, get drunk then really get to know your group! Last place is to dance, hopefully your drunk enough to not care and have enough courage to ask out that person you were talking to all night

When you arrive at the starting location you are given a wristband which signifies what type of drinks you prepaid for. However some bartenders were hesitant or outright refused to sell drinks even when willing to pay full price. I wanted to rip it off to see if It allowed me freedom to purchase what I wished. Left early to go someplace else without the group and the wristband.

A must do experience for solo travelers, guides are very friendly and fun, there is generally a good vibe. I personally did the experience a couple times while in Athens and would have done more if it werent cancelled by the rain, but even then they kindly gave us a list of bar recommendations to go to, so we were able to organise alone. Happy crawling! Cheers to our guide Dimitra and our substitute guide for a day Julian(though you really do talk too much)!

We had high hopes fun Friday night and left flat and disappointed. Visited 2 bars and a club. Second bar stop(2 ppl) in there and “ free” shot was horrible. Club empty ( zero people). We walked back to hotel only to walk past 3 to 4 places with fun vibes and people. We didn’t stop as we were tired and frustrated. I would ask for $$ back if I could. Our guide was nice, and on time. I just felt we visited places that needed business to survive more so than “it” spots in Athens

Thanks for your review, and I’m really sorry the night felt flat. Winter—especially just after the holidays—is our quietest period, and some venues can be far less lively than they are in peak season.
Still, we want the experience to feel fun and worth it year-round, and it sounds like we missed the mark for you.
Regarding the complimentary shot at the second bar, on that night it was mastiha (masticha), a traditional Greek liqueur. We understand it can be a matter of personal taste, and we’re sorry it wasn’t to your liking.

Very fun, unique activity to do as a solo traveler in Athens! If you’re looking for an evening activity to do on your trip this is it. I met so many great people, most of which were also solo travelers. The hosts and guides weee amazing and really up for a good time and a chat about the city. I think this is a cool outing for anybody who likes to meet and experience other ppl. It was 70 of us. Mainly techno music at the bars. We left before the club due to having an early ferry ride that following morning.

As someone who loves to travel solo (I've been to 17 countries so far!), I'm always looking for new ways to step out of my comfort zone and the Athens Party Pub Crawl, which I found through the Viator app, did not disappoint.
From start to finish, it exceeded my expectations. Not only did I get a fun, safe, and stress-free way to explore Athens' nightlife, but I also met amazing people from around the world—many of whom I’ve since connected with on social media for future travel plans and meet-ups!
The event was really well organized. There were three hosts who checked in regularly and kept the group together as we moved from bar to bar. I started with the yellow wristband, not really knowing what to expect, but I loved how you could upgrade it as the night went on and you got more comfortable with the group.
As someone visiting Greece for the first time from the U.S., I can honestly say I wouldn’t have experienced this fun and vibrant side of Athens without the Pub Crawl. It gave me a whole new perspective on the city.
I highly recommend it to any solo travelers (or groups!) looking to experience Athens nightlife in a fun and welcoming way. I’ll definitely be back in 2026—and I’m already looking forward to another night out with this awesome crew!

This night there was 70+ on the tour. The first stop was fun but you were expected to buy drinks after the 1 free shot. Stop 2 again was fun but the bar staff seemed overwhelmed. And the last stop was a fun nightclub good dance music!

Whew what a night, we had a time. Such a fun night, I don't even remember the host. It was a group with at least 10 solo travelers. I've never experienced that anywhere I traveled before which made the night unforgettable one of my most memorable nights of a five week trip

There’s a total of three bars. I liked that it started at 10. The meet up location is convenient and around plenty of other bars and restaurants. My guide was very social and encouraged the group to mingle with each other. I had a great time!
