3 Dionysiou Areopagitou St., at the start of the pedestrian walkway from Hadrian’s Arch to the Acropolis. Our team sits at outdoor tables of Lukumades, Kayak/Fresko, or Pilino (all next to each other). Look for orange t-shirts & sign. Arrive 20 mins early. 3 min walk from Acropolis Metro.

Itinerary
Meet your guide and group at a yogurt bar near the base of the Acropolis at your chosen time. If you’ve chosen the tour option without admission tickets, you need to give your guide cash at this point: They have prepaid, so there’s no need to buy online or line up for tickets.
Then follow your licensed guide up the hill to the UNESCO World Heritage–listed site, passing the Propylaea and the Dionysus Sanctuary.
Your guide will introduce the key monuments on the hilltop and explain the role they played in classical Greek culture: the Theatre of Dionysus, the original home of drama, the Parthenon, the iconic temple of the goddess Athena, the Erechtheion, with its graceful female columns, and more.
You’ll leave with an Athens guide magazine and a map of the city.
Then follow your licensed guide up the hill to the UNESCO World Heritage–listed site, passing the Propylaea and the Dionysus Sanctuary.

- BABY STROLLERS are not allowed on the Acropolis archaeological site and there is no cloakroom at the side entrance we use to enter. For your own convenience, it is recommended to use a baby pouch instead of a baby stroller.
- If you are entitled to a reduced entrance at the site, then a valid ID or Passport is required for verification of age and nationality at the sites.
- Comfortable walking shoes, sun-screen and a hat are recommended
- Bring a bottle of water
- Dress according to weather
- Strict Acropolis entry times mean we can't wait for latecomers. No refunds will be given.
- All visitors undergo airport-style security; expect peak season waits of up to 30+ minutes.
- Cutoff times sync with Athens local time.
- If you selected the WITHOUT Entrance Ticket, you will receive a separate email after booking with a link to purchase your Acropolis Entrance Tickets. You must complete this step within 48 hours of booking and no later than 24 hours before the tour starts. Please note: You need a valid Entrance Ticket to join the tour.
- When entrance to the Acropolis is free, the cost of the entrance fee is already deducted from the tour price

Be prepared for uneven terrain. Mobility impaired should reconsider if movement is an issue. The guide was knowledgeable in the historical background and was pleasant and helpful.

Wonderful experience with Constantina. Solid 2 hour tour. We learned a lot. It was a warm, sunny day but we found plenty of shade and thankfully there was a nice breeze.

Wear good walking shoes. Our guide, Aig li, was very knowledgeable and gave us a comprehensive tour. She did a good job of sheparding us through the crowds so we got the best views of the day. Meeting place, email communication, tickets, headsets, all the behind the scenes coordination was well done.

We booked this one day in advance during August and were not disappointed. We were a group of ten and Adonis looked after us very well. The booking process, communication and location of the 'meet up' was all very clear and seamless. To others booking - while the meeting point is just beside the Acropolis, they do not exaggerate in terms of the number of steps and all the walking in the intense heat in the Acropolis itself, so bring water, a hat and good walking shoes.

Our guide, Vicki, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Acropolis. She presented information that piqued our interest. We slowly made our way up the South slope where we had great views of Athens below. She told us about the hospital, outdoor arena where plays were staged and the concert arena that until very recently hosted many well known artists. The edifices and art work of ancient sites are always astounding, and the Acropolis is no less remarkable. This is a site not to be missed.
We had visited the Acropolis Museum at the base of the Acropolis. Don’t miss this valuable resource that showcases the art and daily living household objects created by ancient people of the BC era.
Please be aware that the walk up to the top of the Acropolis is strenuous and not really for those who must use mobility aids (canes) as the surfaces are uneven, rocky and unstable in many places. You should wear comfortable shoes with traction soles.

Great tour! We booked the 5:30 pm tour. The meeting point was easy to find and not far from the entry point. It was very hot (Make sure to bring water with you since the water available is very hot and not drinkable). Our tour guide, Dionysus, knew exactly where to stop so we were in shaded areas where he shared his knowledge. Dionysus was pleasant, prompt, and knowledgeable! At the end of the tour we were left to navigate our way down ourselves which allowed for us to watch the sun go down, the flag being taken down, and take many pictures! Ask for Dionysus. You won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Phillippia! She was very knowledgable about Greek history without it being too overwhelming. She was also very good about leading us into the shade since it was pretty hot out. We felt that having a guide for our time in the Acropolis was very worthwhile, otherwise it's hard to know what you're looking at.

All of our tours were on time, very good English. They were all very patient with questions and slower people. My recommendation on very hot days is that you continue to move rather than standing a talking.

The acropolis and Parthenon are amazing. However, it was about 95 degrees in Athens and the walk was incredibly strenuous—not moderate as stated. Also, while we enjoyed all the info shared by our guide, given the incredible heat I think most in the group would have preferred cutting down the talk and getting to the top more quickly. Also, while shade wasn’t abundant it would have been wonderful to find more shady spots.

Christina was a fantastic tour guide… friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought the history of the Acropolis to life and made the experience both informative and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend booking this tour. One thing to be aware of: the ticketing process can be a bit confusing. Regardless of which tour option you select, you’ll still need to purchase the €30 Acropolis entrance ticket separately. Knowing that ahead of time would have made the process much clearer.

Dimitrius was fantastic! Very patient, knowledgeable and was careful to allow frequent stops in the shade during high heat. Highly recommended. Note our tour took a full 4 hours between Acropolis and the museum.
