Nikos Charalambopoulos was our guide on the day and was excellent! Very informative, not only regarding local sites and food but also in relation to the history of the area and Athens overall! Not been to Athens for many years but are actively planning a return trip for 2026 or early 2027! This was an amazing experience. I wish we would have done it day 1 because we explored areas I didn't know about. Our guide, Lucas, was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave us some great historical facts about Greece. All of the food was delicious and authentic. The beverages were perfectly matched as well. 10 out of 10!

Viator Always Delivers

We travel extensively, but use organized tours on a very selective basis. Every Viator tour has been a first rate experience, and this one of Delphi was the perfect example. Well-organized: left on time, first class travel with a safe drive and vehicle who negotiated tough terrain. Glad I didn't try doing this on my own. Bio breaks coming and going. Our tour guide Valeria was highly knowledgeable and her enthusiasm for the subject was infectious. All made for a wonderful and informative day. Heads up: It's a long day requiring a lot of climbing on uneven surfaces., so come prepared, dress accordingly. You will go home tired.

Impressive guide and a great tour

Maritsa was an impressive tour guide. The tour consisted of myths and then the real history and she engaged with the group. She was great at pointing out slippery and uneven walking areas with consistent reminders. She was also soft spoken which was great because we focused on her and not the other crowds. She let us know in advance what we were doing next. We were all scared about climbing up to the Acropolis but we took frequent stops and it included ramps and walking paths, not just straight steps. All in all we had a great morning.

See a lot of Athens in 2.5 hours

We (my teenaged son and daughter and I) enjoyed a fun afternoon touring Athens with our guide Alex and another family who had joined the tour. Our guide was very good-natured and also shared with us a lot of interesting information about Athens and the sights we were seeing. The bike tour enabled us to see a number of things we would not have had time to see, or would not have known to see, outside of this tour. I especially liked seeing the Panathenaic Stadium and riding through the Agora. I had not ridden an e-bike before and it was certainly helpful in 1 or 2 spots! I recommend this tour; we all enjoyed it.

We had an incredible experience on our Athens walking tour with an archaeologist—our guide, Peter, was truly outstanding. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Having someone with such deep knowledge and passion for history made everything come to life in a way that no guidebook ever could. Peter explained the historical context, myths, and significance of each site with clarity and enthusiasm, making it engaging for both adults and kids in our group. We especially appreciated how he connected ancient history to what we were seeing in front of us, helping us better understand the importance of each landmark. The pace of the tour was perfect, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and take in the surroundings without feeling rushed. Peter was also very friendly, patient, and attentive to our group’s needs. We had an incredible experience with Margarites at the Acropolis and museum. She is a wonderful teacher and storyteller and our family learned and retained so much information from our time with her about Greek mythology, customs, and language. She was talented in selecting interesting facts and content, coloring in the stories with details, and keeping us interested and engaged. I'll also add that her voice was so pleasant and soothing to listen to. We are so grateful for such a spectacular experience with her -- our time with her was one of the memorable highlights of our week in Athens!

A great walking food tour in Athens

This was a wonderful tour with a kind, warm and informative guide. We ate some incredible food (our bellies were so full that we strolled home for a nap afterwards). It was also a great way to see an interesting part of the city. We all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens.
