It is a long day but well-organized. Up and out early and a classic Greek delayed return. Still well worth the time. A must see on the UNESCO tours in this lifetime. Breathtaking views, classically adorned monasteries, and a rich history make this day away from Athens a great idea.

The tour was amazing and our guide was incredibly engaging and funny. The monasteries are beautiful, with excellent examples of Byzantine and Italian art and architecture. This is a truly unique place filled with natural and man made beauty. Highly recommend!

Our guide was fantastic, providing history of the region and the monasteries, a geological overview and insight into the culture of the Greek people. All that information together with unforgettable views and tours of some of the monasteries. moderate physical activity. Great tour ending with the promised fantastic view of the sunset.

Eric (our knowledgeable tour guide) and Demetrius (our rock star driver) provided us with a fun, uphill and downhill tour of their beautiful island, historical sites, picturesque towns, including visits to a pottery shop, olive oil tastings, and a sandy beach. It was a fantastic day, one of the best on our trip to GREECE. This tour almost did not happen has my husband was sick on our scheduled tour day and Eric so graciously was able to shift our booking to a couple of days later. Without this consideration, we would have left Naxos without seeing the natural beauty of the island and meeting so many lovely people. Thank you Eric and Demitrious for your joy and hospitality. We have so many lovely memories.

We had a tour with our guide Lena and our driver Crazy Nikos! What a terrific tour from two wonderful guides. We were very fortunate to be the only couple so we got a private tour. We visited three monasteries and many viewing points and got many great photos. Lena was extremely knowledgeable about the history and religious importance of Meteora and made sure we knew everything about each monastery we visited to maximize the time we had there. She also included some visits to views that were away from the crowds. In addition to driving, Nikos helped take some amazing photos! We were especially pleased that Lena and Nikos adjusted our tour to allow for my wife’s mobility issue. All in all this was a great experience and would highly recommend. Ask for Nikos and Lena specifically!

Chris was truly exceptional. With deep local knowledge, he showed us places we would have never discovered on our own. What really sets him apart, though, is his genuine warmth—you don’t feel like a tourist, but like a welcomed guest. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and personal experience!

There some unexpected issues such as the train strike that affected our return by train but the company handled everything for us, kept us infirmaded all the time, offered options, and got us the return bus tickets. Besides that everything was great! The guides Vasilis and Chris were a well of information, history, and curiosities. The small group tour is a wonderful way to go and my utmost recommendation. We had 3 tourists in the tour with Vasilis and just 2 of us with Chris (the guide) on the second day. The place is amazing and worth of every moment there. We stayed for 1 night, but if I ever come back, I will sure extend the trip for at least one more day, and do a couple of the hikes. We visited all the 6 monasteries that are still open, unfortunately I was only able to climb the steps to 3 of them...there are tons of them but my knees don't like them very much mowadays :-( . However, I still enjoyed the experience as much as if I had climbed. The paths, the views, the little hidden peak-a-boo perspective has lots to offer. I highly recommend Meteora Rocks to anyone planning to visit Meteora.

The place is magnificent and magical, but the service does not include a guide, the driver will not go into the monastery’s and explain things. You must do your own research or add an audio guide. Having said this we really enjoy the service of the driver.
