We designed this tour as an introduction to dog mushing for those who want to experience the activity beyond just riding in the sled. If you want to experience the rush of running your own dog team, this is your chance. You will meet the sled dogs in our kennel and get plenty of time to get familiar with your team. Your experienced dog mushing guide will present to you the basics of dog mushing, teach you how to put on a harness, and line up the sled dogs in preparation for take off. Each participant has a full 30 minutes of practicing on the sled runners, learning how to lean into the turns, breaking, and leading your dog team by voice command only. A second 30 minutes you are spending in the sled watching/studying your partner practicing. Wonderful tour! Loved the small group size and the chance to visit the Arctic Circle and the Alaskan pipeline. Even though the drive time getting there was a few hours, our tour guide, Milo, was very entertaining, very knowledgable, and provided an engaging experience. The frequent stops along the way allowed for photo opportunities and chances to grab a bite to eat and shop. Great afternoon!

Great intro to Alaska in general and Fairbanks in Particular

The museums included on this tour are outstanding. We would go back to either. Our guide, Sasha, was superb—knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind. The pipeline was made more interesting by him. The North Pole and Santa were kitschy but clean and well stocked. Would recommend this as a good way to see Fairbanks and gain some knowledge about history, peoples, geography, geology, and the rich resources here.

Great tour!

Spent a wonderful 1/2 day with Blake exploring Fairbanks. He was highly knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the trip. He tailored the stops to cover what we didn't know and skipped the things we had already seen. Rather than dropping us back at the hotel she offered to drop us off downtown to enjoy poking around ourselves. I would highly recommend their company - Find Alaska - to book a trip tailored to what you want to see.

Amazing tour guide and photographer!

Not only were we graced by the lights, but Nathan captured us in stunning photos so we weren’t stressing over figuring out our cameras. Nathan was a fantastic tour guide and photographer! The hot pizzas and cookies on a cold night were a treat too. We took another aurora tour with a different provider the night before and were in a huge group crammed into a tight cabin with light coming out of it and people flashing their flashlights in our eyes while they tried to figure out their cameras to capture the lights. Instead, Electric Moose provided a very small group of only 10 people, so it felt like hanging out with a few friends, and Nathan had individual time with each of us to capture all sorts of gorgeous pics in his expertly-located remote secret spot where there was minimal light and beautiful scenery that made our pics stunning. Nathan was so enthusiastic it was contagious. Our group was sharing pics and marveling at the lights together all night and although the temps were low and winds high, Nathan’s heated tent provided the perfect toasty warming shelter. We woke up later in the day to the spectacular album of pics. This tour made for a once-in-a-lifetime night for us and we absolutely recommend it!

Just book this tour. Our guides were amazing, they provided snacks, water and warmers. They even gave us dessert to go after the tour. We saw the aurora for the first time and also got to really enjoy it. We got to enjoy it because you don’t have to worry about taking photos because they will do it for you. I would recommend this tour.

Amazing tour! Best chance to see the Northern lights with photos!!

These guys are experts!! They took us to a great place for viewing the Northern lights near Birch Lake. They took professional photos, and provided several heated areas to hang out to warm up when it got too cold. We would not have been able to see the Northern lights as vividly or at all without this tour. We tried. We highly recommend this tour!!! I also wanted to say that we had a lot of trouble making it to our tour due to mechanical issues with our first airplane, leading us to be re-routed through Portland and Anchorage. Nicole was absolutely wonderful about working with us to help us join the tour. It also happened to be the best viewing during our entire stay. We are very thankful. This tour was wonderful and the guides are nice people.

Great experience, knowledgeable hosts!

It's a pretty straightforward experience. The host picks you up at your hotel (if you select that option). It's a 35 minute drive to the aurora house, and the guides will take pictures and you can take video and such on your phone. For the night I went, the aurora was visible at 10:30 pm and 2 am. So there can be a gap between sightings.

Up to the circle with Jessica.

First we would like to start with our guide Jessica. She was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, accommodating, adaptive and prepared. She kept us very informed of the route we were going on and what to expect. Unfortunately, the Northern Lights did not accommodate us but Jessica tried. She stopped so many times to see if they were showing and did everything possible to find them but it was not to be. Her driving was extremely safe. The condition of the highway with the snow and ice could have made the drive trechararous but at no time did we feel unsafe. As far as how to dress, check the weather and dress appropriately. It was -11 and we had on thermals, coats, gloves and scarves and were as comfortable as could be. The only negative we have to say is, because it was so cold out, except for the windshield and front side windows, all the others were iced over on the inside so we couldn't see out at all. We tried the scraping with a credit card as Jessica suggested but it really didn't work. Maybe wipe them down with shaving cream or have a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and rags to wipe them with. This was a bucket list that we definitely will remember and was totally worth it!

Do not miss this one!

This was an incredible excursion and an absolute MUST if you're visiting Fairbanks! We had dinner at the on‑site restaurant; the standout dish by far was the Clam Chowder (so delicious!)—the rest of the menu was just okay. But the Hot Springs? Absolutely AMAZING. Some of our best photos from the entire trip came from capturing the auroras at Chena Hot Springs and even on the drive back to the lodge. It was such a magical experience. If you’re in Fairbanks, do not skip this. 10/10 recommend!
