Private Borghese Tour

I scheduled a private Borghese tour. I enjoyed all of my trip to Italy and the multiple cities I experienced, but the private Borghese tour will be something I remember the rest of my life. Unlike other sites, the Borghese limits how many people per hour can be there, so it will not be overcrowded, so I recommend anyone add it to their trip to Rome, but if you are fortunate enough to get the opportunity for a private tour, it is genuinely next level as we had a private guide answer our questions and give us a personal experience that I will always remember.

Perfection!

This was the highlight of our trip to Rome and we are not religious. It was extremely organized and our guide John was downright amazing. The information he gave was extensive and his delivery was professional, friendly and done in such an interesting manner. He answered questions and made sure everyone knew where to be, rules to follow, etc. Truly, if you are considering a tour of the Vatican…..book this.

Great small group experience

We highly recommend this tour to hit the highlights of the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel. Unfortunately, we were unable to get into St. Peter’s. Our tour guide, Samuel’s (Sam) was great. He navigated our small group (-12) through all the major areas of interest and did a great job of avoiding the crowds. We learned so much. Our tour ended right at the Chapel - allowing us the ability to take our time.

Great skip the line experience!

My family and I were very happy with this experience. My younger kids really did not want to do a guided tour and we wanted to go at our own pace. This tour was perfect for that. On top of that, it was easy to meet up prior to the tour and we were guided right to the front of the line with clear instructions. Met and, maybe slightly, exceeded expectations!

A true bucket list experience. Loved every minute. The rep for the ticket company was extremely helpful and efficient, although it was not made clear that we had to meet him at an office to collect the official tickets. A taste of Pompeii and Sorrento.....

My family of three enjoyed this trip with our guide, Mikkela who was very friendly, kind, knowledgeable and a very fast walker. Set your expectations correctly for this trip and you will enjoy it. This was our first visit to Pompeii, and it was very interesting and impressive. We didn't realize the city was so vast. The time spent here was jam packed. The Pompeii specific guide mentioned one could spend 2-3 days and 4-5 hours per day since there is so much to see. The tour guide provided a timesaving option for a take-out pizza lunch to eat on the bus after the Pompeii visit. We opted for this and shared a pizza which was just ok and enough to keep away any hunger pains. The Limoncello factory 15-minute stop was not of interest to us, so we took pictures of the Sorrento coast and had a lemonade slushie (delicious) rather than tasting the liquors and candy. This was also our first visit to Sorrento so for this stop we followed the guide down to get a view of the beach and then my husband and I relaxed on a terrace with a drink and enjoyed the view. My daughter did some window shopping in the town. We were fortunate to take this tour in March when the weather is nice but it is not peak season when Sorrento would be so crowded. The tour was well organized and fast paced. The bus was comfortable for the 12-hour trip and the driver very professional.

Erika is one of those rare guides who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also genuinely fun, engaging, and dynamic. Her depth of historical knowledge is impressive she clearly knows Rome inside and out but what truly sets her apart is how she brings the history to life. She doesn’t just recite facts; she tells stories, connects timelines effortlessly, and keeps everyone fully engaged from start to finish. The underground Domus portion was fascinating, and Erika explained the layers of Roman history with clarity, enthusiasm, and humor. She made complex historical details easy to understand and exciting, which is no small feat given how dense Roman history can be. At no point did the tour feel rushed or overly scripted it felt personal, interactive, and thoughtfully paced. Erika also created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to ask questions and stay involved throughout the tour. Her energy was infectious, and by the end, it felt less like a formal tour and more like exploring Rome with an incredibly knowledgeable friend. Easy and affordable.

I found this option very affordable and efficient. It was easy to meet the agents in advance to get the tickets. There was a very quick line to wait in to pass security, which all ticket holders have to go through. I liked that this option didn't require buying an expensive guided tour.
