Perfect Tour to Explore Madeira
We had an amazing trip in Madeira and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island. Our tour guide was fantastic—very knowledgeable and full of interesting information about Madeira's history, culture, and nature.
The ride itself was exciting, taking us through local streets, beautiful natural landscapes, and some incredibly steep roads that were both thrilling and unforgettable. The views along the way were absolutely breathtaking.
This tour covers many of Madeira's most beautiful spots and is definitely worth it for anyone who wants to truly discover and experience the island. A great adventure from start to finish!

We had an amazing time...
We had an amazing time with this tour! I appreciated that we were in a small van (8-person max), so we got an intimate and informative tour with our outstanding guide Bruno. The timing and pace was perfect for all ages. Definitely book an early start time (we did 8AM), as Sintra only gets busier as the day goes on. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Half Day Trip to Braga & Guimares
Our Tour Guide, Bruno A and driver, Nuno were amazing! Bruno was enthusiastic, kind and ensured that all of us has oppotunities to take photos and explore on our own at each part of the trip. Bruno A flawlessly translated the tour in both French and English to accomodate all members in our group. Pick up and meeting point were easy to find; they even provided a 12minute grace period for those were running late. 11/10 tour and would recommend booking with Living Tours! With your booking, you get some perks like a free walking tour or discount in the area you’re visiting.

History, Faith, Small Towns, and Ocean Views — A Perfect Mix
The tour was very well prepared and organized. They had two guides so the group could be split by language, which made everything smoother and more personalized. Everything ran on time and was well coordinated, giving us plenty of time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. The ride itself was very comfortable.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and had an excellent command of English. He explained everything clearly, added interesting context, and even cracked a few jokes along the way, which made the experience both informative and fun.
Overall, a very well‑run tour that I would definitely recommend.

Our guide was interesting...
Our guide was interesting and lots of fun! We loved all the stops and wonderful photo ops. There was some confusion on the pickup however. We were told to look for a white van with a specific license number, and Lido on the side. After waiting way past the pickup time we finally heard someone call our name in a gray, unmarked van. We should have been notified of the change but weren't. I would double check the pickup the morning of the tour!

Beautiful Sintra!
Margarida was a fantastic driver. There was a lot of traffic that day and she called to tell us she was going to be a little late ( maybe 20 mins) more time to enjoy our morning coffee. We did a half day at Sintra. she showed us all of the highlights, including the outside areas of the palace, the Moorish castle, and a little bit of the downtown. She was knowledgeable and efficient. She did a good job of whetting our appetite for a longer stay in Sintra! Thank you Margarida for such a a great day!

10/10 Would go again
This was a super great way to experience Gerês if you only have one day and don't want to get a rental car. Ricardo was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and very helpful for those who were not quite as steady on their feet!
Make sure to bring shoes with good grip! The hikes we went on weren't long but the footing was occasionally sketchy and steep (but definitely worth it for the waterfalls!) The swimming was wonderful on a hot day; really try and schedule for a good day so you can get in!

If you travel in summer
Lisbon weather in summer is quite hot, be ready to drink some water and walk . For women, there’s many areas to climb steps, dress properly. I always heard about pickpockets in the city of Lisbon, I took my precautions before I started the journey, but honestly I didn’t see any activity of people around that could it engage on that activity. With my personal experience on this tour I can say that the pickpockets stories are a little bit exaggerated. Be aware and careful everywhere you go in this planet , anyway . Always use your common sense and enjoy your vacation.

Wonderful tour of Cascais, Sintra, and the coast!
Absolutely wonderful experience discovering Sintra, Cascais, and the beautiful coast from Lisbon. Our guide Filipe was so knowledgeable and seemed to know everyone we met at each location. He really made the experience unforgettable with his stories, history lessons, and anecdotes. I would recommend this tour and him to anyone staying in our around Lisbon. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience!
We also had an elderly mother with us who couldn’t walk too far, and Filipe made all the necessary provisions to assist us and help us enjoy the day to the fullest.

Fun with Miguel!!
If you book this tour with this company, you are guaranteed the best experience when your driver introduces himself as Miguel. Miguel is the best driver, great personality and so much fun. He knows the best off road tracks and well...what can I say. He is just very easy going, crazy driving but we felt safe with him all through the tour. He clearly knows his car and the roads very well. Seeing other jeeps driving boring speed and roads, we felt so lucky to be in Miguel's jeep! Thanks for making this day the best of the best.
One remark: we would have loved to have more time on Fanal forest. It's a magical place. Would have preferred to bring a packed lunch and enjoy it there rahter then having the longer lunch stop in Porto Moniz

Great way to see Lisbon, especially with Lucas
Two adults + two children ages 8 and 12 absolutely loved the tour. Lucas was exceptionally knowledgable on Lisbon including the history and the architecture. His love for his home city was evident throughout the tour.
We arrived in Lisbon for a half day on Saturday and then did this tour first thing on Sunday. It really helped us to understand the city’s layout and to get a sense for how else we were going to spend remaining free time in the city. Lucas set the bar high for other tours during our stay in Portugal and the family agreed we were glad we had him to kick off our vacation.

Porto Day Trip
Great full‑day trip from Lisbon to Porto. Everything was smooth and well‑organized, and our guide Tiago was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Porto was beautiful, and the balance of guided time and free exploration was perfect. Highly recommended.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Taking day trips in Portugal is one of the best ways to experience some of the top sights outside of the cities of Porto and Lisbon. Experience the heritage of making port wine in the Douro Valley, an easy trip from Porto. Or, get picked up in Lisbon and visit Sintra, a region dotted with former royal palaces and UNESCO World Heritage sites. Options further afield, yet still accessible as day trips, include a Jeep tour from Porto to Peneda-Gerês National Park, known for its hiking trails and scenic waterfalls.
