Costa Nova and Aveiro were Amazing!!!

My excursion was amazing. Our guide Cuber and our driver Andre made our group feel safe, at ease, secure, and informed about our destination. This is a great taste of other areas of Portugal. A half day also worked great for my work schedule and I got plenty of needed rest on the lovely car ride. I got to sample local specialties, buy some affordable souvenirs, and enjoy an authentic lunch. My tour cost about as much as a nice dinner with friends. This excursion really enhanced my day. Go ahead and book! You won’t regret it.

Don’t miss this trip!!

This experience is not to be missed! The food was amazing! There was more than enough wine (which was also amazing) to have with the lunch. The last winery was ok. It had small pours and the wine was not to my style. The boat ride was great to be able to see the Douro Valley from below. Nice little spot of port wine in the boat too. We made a few stops along the way for pictures which was great too! Very much enjoyed! We had a family member with car sickness but took over the counter med and sat towards the front without any issues!

A great introduction to Porto.

We walked about 12 minutes from our hotel to the Teatro Nacional meeting point. We were contacted to check we had found the location and that Rui would be picking us up in his orange Tuk Tuk. Rui was a pleasant and informative guide who provided us with a very useful introduction to the sights and geography of Porto. He showed us all the expected views as well as a couple of less well known ones, such as the cork tree in the Crystal Park. It was an excellent introduction to Porto for us. Well worth the money unless you are very fit and wish to walk everywhere. We booked this trip on our first morning and it gave us a clear picture of what we should visit. Thank you Rui.

Fantastic day tour!

Wonderful day spent touring the Douro Valley. David was an excellent guide, providing interesting information about the area and stopping at great scenic areas to take photos and view the beautiful vineyards. The boat ride was a great experience and the guide on the boat was very knowledgeable. The lunch was excellent, paired with different table wines and port wines! Would highly recommend this all-day tour!

A Great Way to Experience Porto in One Day

This tour was a fantastic way to see Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia without ever feeling rushed. Our guide, Santiago, has an art history background, and it really showed throughout the tour. He shared so much interesting history and context that brought the city and its architecture to life. We visited several beautiful churches, saw the famous Livraria Lello, and stopped at São Bento Station, which may be one of the most beautiful train stations we’ve ever seen. The blue-and-white tile panels are absolutely stunning. We also crossed the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge, took the cable car down to the riverfront, and enjoyed a relaxing Douro River cruise with beautiful views of the city and the colorful buildings along the hillsides. The pace of the day was perfect. We covered a lot of ground but never felt hurried, and there was still time to explore on our own afterward. One thing to know before booking: this is definitely a walking tour, and you will get your steps in. Porto is very hilly in places, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a fairly active day. If you’re looking for a tour that combines history, great views, and several of Porto’s highlights into one enjoyable day, we highly recommend this one. Santiago was an excellent guide and made the experience even better.

Great food & Guide in Porto!

Thiago was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and personable. He was attentive to all 6 of us and provided information about not only what we were doing or eating but also about the areas that we walked thru. The guides were very accommodating as I originally booked for 18 June but wasn't feeling well and asked to cancel - obviously at the last minute I was not expecting any refund. Instead, they offered me an alternative time & date for 19 June that we were able to make and I was not charged any additional cost for the change! Very grateful for this!!

A Good Trip of the city

The tour is a little expensive given that it's for 2 hours only with no time to explore and no entrance fees included. But if you want to tour Porto traveling in it's alleys and little traveled paths then it's worth the money. We couldn't have navigated the steep streets all by ourselves. Our guide Mahmoud was informative without being too talkative. He dropped us off near our hotel.

Our personal itinerary didn’t allow for a full day in the Douro Valley but knew we didn’t want to miss it and this was a great solution to see it on a time crunch. This stopped at one local winery and olive oil producer, a local restaurant for lunch, and multiple viewpoints to take great pictures of the area.

Amazing private boat trip!

Absolutely loved this! We were a group of 4 and had an amazing time. Would definitely book again if we were in Porto again. Really friendly crew (the Captain and 1 other) encouraged us to link our phone to the speaker, food and drink was very enjoyable and the boat also had a toilet which was handy.

This was so much fun. Our guide was very friendly and funny. He had so much knowledge to share about Port, Porto and Gaia. The tour had some younger folks and older folks but everyone had a great time together. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone, but have a bite to eat beforehand as the wine can leave you a bit wobbly after ;)
