Highlight of our trip to Porto. This let us see a ton of the city, including historic districts and the sunset was incredible. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable as well which added a lot to the experience.

Very comfortable seating! The port tasting was delicious! Views were so nice! My husband and I sat at the back of the boat and pretty much a had a private boat ride! Staff checked on us regularly to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our ride.

The cruise was wonderful, passing many beautiful sights and scenery. The captain and crew were hospitable and knowledgeable. However the others on the cruise were very loud and talked and laughed through the whole trip.
What should have been a relaxing, peaceful sunset cruise turned into a frat party.

Such a beautiful day and enjoyable boat ride! We had a blast with the crew who was very informational and attentive! Blankets for the direction into the wind were a nice touch and the ride into the Atlantic for a short jaunt was very fun! Great crew and great time! Took 3 generations ages 7-70's and was a highlight for all!

Enjoyed our Douro river cruise. We went out on a rainy, windy day. Despite the weather, we were dry and comfortable. Our hostess offered us a glass of wine and shared very interesting stories about Porto, wine-making, Portuguese history and several other topics as we cruised smoothly down the river. Very relaxing 2 hours and their wines were delicious. The trip felt like a personal guided tour. Loved it! I would highly recommend this tour if you’re interested in seeing Porto from the river.

Lovely tour with Miguel and Francesca. Very smooth ride with knowledgeable details about points of interest. Loved going to mouth of ocean. Didn’t know, however, that boat was unable to go under bridge. Was expecting to go under all bridges

We had a wonderful experience with this tour operator. Our 2:30 PM Douro River tour on 2/26 was the highlight of our time in Porto. Our guide was fantastic—she shared fascinating historical stories about the early settlers along the Douro and pointed out important landmarks on both sides of the river. We also appreciated her local food recommendations and the chance to enjoy a glass of Port wine while taking in the scenery.
A big thank‑you as well to our skipper for navigating the river safely and smoothly during the nearly two‑hour ride. The whole experience was relaxing, informative, and beautifully paced. We enjoyed every minute of it and will definitely look for bbdouro again the next time we return to Porto.

Please note to check in at the BBDouro office located at marina so they know you are there. We had an issue that was quickly resolved with the assistance of the coffee shop and them directing us to the office of BBDouro as the tickets did not indicate that we were to meet at Dock D. That is to be rectified between BBDouro and Viator. As for the cruise, it was fantastic! Is a must when in Porto!

Unfortunately I was on a cruise and was informed that the port where we were to meet for our cruise often got very busy and we might have a problem getting back to the ship in time for our departure.
I was unable to connect when on the ship to attempt to cancel my tour. When we left the ship and got dropped off at a port, we asked about directions to the meeting place but the locals weren't sure where we were to meet....I made some phone calls and the guide company seemed to think we were at the right spot and said we could definitely be back in time for our transportation back to the ship....then she checked and said we weren't at the right port.....but about 15 minutes away...We asked about a taxi or an Uber but they didn't come to that port....as it was getting later and later trying to find a way to get to the yacht club, my husband was too nervous to attempt to find the spot....To add to the confusion, our phone connection was spotty....I asked if she could give me a refund but said she doubted it but would ask the owner and they wouldn't be able to get back for a few days. Needless to say, she didn't get back and I lost the entire cost for me and my husband.....I have always had a good experience with Viator until this last trip.

We would like to clarify that all information regarding the meeting point (Douro Marina) and the check-in time is clearly stated both in the activity description and in the booking details.
From what we were able to confirm, upon getting off at Cais de Gaia, you assumed that the tour would depart from the same location. However, the correct meeting point is Douro Marina, which is located approximately 10 to 15 minutes away.
We received your call less than 15 minutes before the tour’s start time and, once we realized you were at the wrong meeting point, we informed you immediately and explained the time required to reach the correct location. In an effort to provide an alternative solution, we also offered the possibility of joining another tour that same afternoon at 2:30 p.m., which we understand you were unable to accept due to your cruise boarding schedule.
At the scheduled time, and with all the other clients waiting, the tour began as planned.
Regarding your refund request, we were unable to approve it, as this situation falls under a cancellation within 24 hours of the activity, in accordance with Viator’s and BBDouro’s cancellation policies.
We regret that you were unable to enjoy the experience and hope to welcome you on a future visit to Porto.

We went my partner and I to celebrate her birthday, and it was amazing. The employees are very friendly and good-willed, the boat was in top shape and the trip was just perfect. We both lived in Porto before, it was still worth the investment for the unique view and the memory we created. Don't do the large group tours, this one is much better

Fernando and Miguel were excellent guides for this sunset tour. They were knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed traveling on the River Douro, learning about the bridges and seeing the Atlantic Ocean very nearby.

This was an okay experience. A bit misleading because we were on a smaller boat that could hold only about 8 comfortably but I was under the impression I was booking the larger boat/catemeran that we saw passing by us in the river as it is also in the pictures. There was not a lot of verbal guidance but the tour guides were very nice and informative if questions were asked. Did not catch the sunset unfortunately. I wouldn’t book again as I don’t believe it was worth the value, I like guided tours and the posting was a bit misleading to me with boat size. I get motion sickness sometimes so the larger boat would’ve helped me with that discomfort. Again, the tour guides were wonderful!
