Not too much walking once it starts. You will not be hungry by the end of the tour. However, if you are not drinking, bring something you prefer if don’t want water. There is just so many foods and experiences packed into the time with funny guides and the occasional random surprise show will make an appearance.

It was fun to learn about how these delicious tarts are made and also get the history and authentic recipe for Pastes de Nata cream Custard Tarts. The guides Lui’s and Ana were fun and helpful. We got to taste great ports and port and tonic.

This experience was a 10/10. Although the weather was rainy and chilly, it didn’t damper our day. Alphonso was the best tour guide! We loved him so much that we struggled saying goodbye to him. He was very knowledgeable and educated us on the history of Portugal and we learned some new words. We appreciated going to local spots and getting authentic Portuguese cuisine. All of The wine was tasty and we had plenty. Also enjoyed the food items the substitutes we had with dietary restrictions. I would highly recommend this tour.

The tour leader,Joǎo,, was exceptional. He brought us to wonderful restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and of course the beautiful Bolhǎo Market where we enjoyed an amazing array of food and drink. He also gave us great insights into Portuguese cuisine and was an informative and witty guide. We loved every minute of the tour and went back the following day to several of the places we had visited to buy some delicious food and drink.
