This was such a fun experience! Our head chef, Teresa, immediately set the tone for a class field with cooking tips and lots of laughs. She was an absolute joy and helped us through what was one of my favorite things to do in Porto.
The class allows time for both cooking as well as socializing. The drinks were delicious as well. This is a fun diversion when you are tired of walking the hills! The shop is located on an adorable street with lots of fun things to buy. I can't wait to attempt my own pastel de natas!

We packed a lot into 1.5 hours! We learned about Portuguese culture and made a delicious pastry we will continue making for years! Mike, Biba, and Henrique were joyful, talented, and fun! Totally worth a bit of your time on a visit to Porto!

It was great- small group experience- everybody makes their own three to eat and take back. Luis and Roy were so helpful and social- and gave us a little history of the dessert! I would do it again but probably only if I knew they were teaching. A+++

This was such a fun, fun cooking class. We cannot wait to go home and make our own. The Chef gave us great information and explained everything.. we had a good time. Thank you.

Beautiful spot, welcoming staff. A lot of the prep was already done in advance, and with 6 people per group, hands-on involvement was quite limited — the session felt very directive. That said, lovely background on the country’s history, the monasteries, and the recipe. Good pastel de nata, nice recipe overall.

Teresa and her partner were great! I was running late and she still accepted me in her class. She modeled and explain each step of baking this tasty pastry. It was a great experience.

Chef Rui gave us a thorough, hands on learning experience in making and the history behind pastel de nata.
Highly recommend. Great use of 2 hours in Porto that I can bring home with me.

This class was such a pleasure! Our family spanned from 15 y/o to 81 y/o and everyone had a great time working together to create deliciousness! Luis and Henrique were efficient, professional, and supportive. Because they were so well organized, it made the class easy and fun.

This class was awesome!! We wanted an experience to take back home to the US and this hit every mark. Michael and Rui were so informative on the history of pastel de nata and helpful when baking the pastries. The concept store is very cool too and they sell some different things made by the artist. I would do this again and again, plus the pastel de nata was delicious.
David_B, Aug 2026
This course was just right. Enough hands on experience to give us confidence to go home and make pastel da nata. Mike and Ruise were excellent teachers! Thoroughly recommend!
Katrinia_K, Aug 2026
A fun time learning about the history of the pastry and how to make it. Definitely recommend this activity.
Ben_R, Aug 2026
Fantastic workshop teaching us how to make Pastel de Nata and also some interesting Portuguese history thrown in! The two teachers were good fun and kept things interesting for everyone. And the free port and soft drinks included made the afternoon fly by!
Bianca_N, Aug 2026
I enjoyed the cooking class very much. The class only ended up being four of us which was nice because we were able to take turns cooking the different components of the egg tarts. I feel that this class is a great activity since it’s only an hour and a half long which makes the class a good amount of time to learn something new but won’t take too much time out of your vacation. The staff was very instructive and gave a bit of history of the egg tarts. Very friendly too. Would recommend this class to others.

This is a great class for beginner cooks. Our wonderful hosts were excellent covering the culture associated with the food we were preparing. My kids loved this class.
Rachel_E, Jul 2026

My family and I really enjoyed this class with Rui. The experience was fun and engaging especially for my 6 and 9 year old . We would recommend this class to anyone looking for a true cultural experience. The pastel de natas were delicious. I would take this class again the next time I’m in Porto!!
