This was such a fun afternoon. We made 4 yummy Pastel de Nata pastries. Our two lovely teachers were helpful, knowledgeable and fun to learn with. They made sure our glasses were never empty and that our pastries finished with no soggy bottoms. Highly recommend!

Very fun activity. The wine was outstanding but the star was the pastel de nata. Luis and Ana were great, very helpfu, and patient. We made some new friends with our fellow bakers. 100% recommended.

This was such a fun experience! Our head chef, Teresa, immediately set the tone for a class field with cooking tips and lots of laughs. She was an absolute joy and helped us through what was one of my favorite things to do in Porto. The class allows time for both cooking as well as socializing. The drinks were delicious as well. This is a fun diversion when you are tired of walking the hills! The shop is located on an adorable street with lots of fun things to buy. I can't wait to attempt my own pastel de natas!

Loved the experience. Met great people and were treated to some tasty Port to go with the amazing desserts we made.

    Yummy!!

What a fun time! The instructors got everyone involved in the entire baking process - also super handy to keep the recipes for both the custard and the dough, so we can show-off once we return home. 10/10 recommend!!

    Our wonderful tart making class.

    Joy_L, Mar 2026
My husband and I had a great experience learning the history behind these delicious tarts and got make it from scratch under the expert guidance of Luis and Ana. It was a fun engaging small group of us and we would highly recommend it. The port wines and port tonic were quite delicious we also got a detailed copy of the recipes and step by step instructions to take away so we can try to make it ourselves! Small group is always better. Thank you for your superb guidance Luis and Ana! Well worth it!

    Yum Yum Pastel de Nata!!

Amazing pastel de nata class—10/10! I went with my mom. The instructor, Mike, was friendly and clear, and the hands-on experience was both fun and easy to follow. 1.5 hours flew by super quick! Best of all, the pastéis de nata turned out absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Great pastel de nata cooking course in Porto. Mike was a brilliant teacher, we came home with 3 delicious tarts and also bought the little tins so we can make at home. 100% recommend.

It’s fabulous! Luis & Ana made it easy & great fun. It was last minute for us, but it’s better to do this class a few days before you leave Porto or you might not be able to eat them all!😂

Booked last minute. There was a group of 8 people in total. Our host was Philippe. He was great. I also got the virtual PaulHollywood handshake at the end for the best looking pastel de nata.

Fun to spend a rainy afternoon in porto

    Maya_S, Feb 2026
Really fun activity with plenty of port! Had a great time, was about 2 hours in total. We made the custard from scratch 😃

This class is great, and the custard recipe is the star.

    David_S, Feb 2026
This is a real intimate class, so you get the personal attention you need to really learn. Note that because it’s a relatively short class you won’t get to make the puff pastry dough from scratch but the custard recipe is top notch in ease to make and final consistency/flavor. The hosts are great, too, and obviously getting to eat a warm nata you made yourself at the end really makes this class worth it.

    Fred_D, Feb 2026
You don't make the pastry part but they the recipe for making it. The shortcut puff pastry trick works well and tastes good. The finished product is yummy. Everything is done step by step so you can make this when you get home.

Warm and friendly welcome, great way to experience an authentic way to make pastel de nata. The session included a glass of port and you take away your own pasteis de nata - definitely value for money.

We loved this experience ❤️ we are obsessed with pastel de nata and now being able to make our own from taking this class is truly special. We would recommend this cooking class. Also being able to share this experience with many other people from around the world is awesome as well. You never know who you will meet!

It was an ok activity. It was just my family of four, so it was short. The 0”cooking” was too simple especially for the amount they charged. It’s not bad, bit not matching my expectation for tue price we paid

    We had the best time!...

    Alisa_K, Dec 2025
We had the best time! This was such a fun class and the instructors are the *very nicest* people EVER! Not only did they do an amazing job teaching us how to make the pastries, but they also helped us communicate with a local on a lost item left in an Uber - we would not have gotten it back without their very kind and persistent help. The class was well organized and the space, while simple, was very clean and easy to work in. They broke down the steps in a way that everyone was able to participate and be a part of the fun. The end results of the baking was delicious! Along the way they were great about telling us some short stories about the local culture and food. They treated us like a local longtime friend and made us feel so welcome. We would absolutely recommend this experience and know you will have an equally amazing time! We would do this again just to make and eat more and visit longer!

The cooking class was so much fun! There was a lot of cooperation and time to chat, the pastels finished a little early, and they tasted better than any other ones we had on the trip. I'm looking forward to trying the recipe they gave us at home some time.

    Best experience ever

    Alexis_S, Nov 2025
