Such a fun and interactive class! We had 6 in our group including our 7 year old grandson. We also met two other groups who were delightful. The instructor was very knowledgeable and patient ensuring everyone was involved. We made 4 delicious treats and enjoyed a nice glass of port as they cooked. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience with 3 generations cooking together. Took our two granddaughters 4 and 5 years old and they loved it! The hostesses were very helpful and encouraging and the place full of local artisans creations. We walked the narrow streets to get there which was part of the charm. Took home delicious treats!!!

This was such a fun experience! Our head chef, Teresa, immediately set the tone for a class field with cooking tips and lots of laughs. She was an absolute joy and helped us through what was one of my favorite things to do in Porto. The class allows time for both cooking as well as socializing. The drinks were delicious as well. This is a fun diversion when you are tired of walking the hills! The shop is located on an adorable street with lots of fun things to buy. I can't wait to attempt my own pastel de natas!

Fun activity learning how to make Patel de Nata which turned out great. Got to eat one fresh out of the oven, delicious, and took two home. Ana took us through step by step making sure we all got involved in the process. She also talked about the origin of the pastries. Our group had nine people in it which felt enough, enabling us all to get involved. The only downside waa that there was a tile painting class that started at the same time in the same room. The instructor was much louder than ours so was a bit distracting and hard for us at the end of the table to hear but overall a great fun experience cooking something so traditional to Portugal.

This was an easy-to-follow and fun workshop. Our class was on the smaller size which was great because everyone got a turn to help do the demonstrations. The port & tonic cocktail during the class was yummy, and the instructor gave us a list of recommendations for foods and things to try in Porto. The class is a great way to get off your feet for a bit if you are haunt a busy trip in Porto!

    Culturally enriched experience

    Tanya_Q, Apr 2026
The class was a great opportunity to acquaint yourself with one of the most culturally based baked items in Portugal. In our class, we had a group of American teachers on spring break from teaching in Spain, a Belgium family and my family, 11 in total. We had two very engaged instructors who helped us achieve the perfect outcome. I’d say the class is for beginners and anyone wanting to learn the story behind this delicious treat.
