What are people saying about La Coruna

Awesome your especially if you have any mobility issues
My husband has mobility issues. We were on a cruise and didn’t have options that we felt would be conducive to his needs. Our son found this Tuk Tuk experiene with Viator (he had used them before and said he had always been well pleased) and we couldn’t have been happier. We were blessed to have Ariana as our guide. She was so kind and friendly, and also very well versed in the history of La Coruna and the sites we were visiting. She was very considerate of my husband’s walking issues and made every accommodation she could to help him.
We learn so much and also had a great time getting to know Ariana. She was willing to answer all our questions.
There were 4 of us (two couples), and we could not have been more pleased with this tour. It was definitely a 5 star.
We can’t wait to go back to La Coruna.

St James Cathedral was...
St James Cathedral was the main attraction in Santiago and our tour guide, Carolina, was very informative and had a lot of interesting stories. The bus ride was about an hour from port to Santiago. The guided tour was about 2-1/2 hour and we had 1-1/2 hiur of free time for a snack and shopping. We were back on the ship with plenty of time to spare.

Cooking in the pencil and fork
David and Fiona were perfect hosts and their multi use space was great for our small cooking class. 6 of us sat around the kitchen counter cutting, mixing, and preparing our meal after a field trip to the local three story market to purchase fresh clams, mussels, scallops, calamari, chicharrones, tomatoes, cheese and bread. The appetizers were fresh off the stove or out of the oven, except the tomatoes and quince which were perfect to accompany the seafoods, each appetizer delicious as the last. David kept cooking the paella and we moved from our counter seats to the large table for the main course. It was delicious and washed down with generous pours of sangria. We had Santiago cake for desert that two of our class made. My mouth still waters as I think of all the great food and I smile as I think of the fun and experience. Ciao

Awesome Sauce!
This was just awesome. You have to get yourself to the Tower of Hercules. We walked and it took 30 minutes. Roberto (tour guide) provides excellent directions and assistance with how to get there. You can also take a cab for about 8 euro. Roberto teaches you how to ride the Segway in a few minutes. The sights are gorgeous. The information he shares is interesting. He even shares some of his photos with us through What’s App. Would absolutely love to do this again!

The best day ever!!!
My cousin (57) and I (55) took an e-bike tour in La Coruna on August 5, 2025. We met at the bike shop and was a minute or two late because i was having a hard time getting an Uber. When I really sat down and looked at a map I realized we could have walked to the shop, but also I realized that there were cabs across the street lined up that I did not see when we were trying to get the Uber. When we arrived at the bike shop we were warmly greeted by the owner and our guide, Miguel. Miguel was the star of the day, his commentary and patience were beyond anything that I would have expected from a young man his age. I had total confidence in him and he kept us safely moving throughout the city on the ample waterfront bike trails that are actually the longest in Europe. To that point, I must confess I had not ridden an e-bike ever, and had not ridden a normal bike in about twenty years. In addition, I am from the suburbs of New York, so I am not familiar with the rules of bike trails and the way they intersect with city streets. I was so nervous when I arrived that I almost backed out. I was close to a panic attack, and part of the problem was there was no little parking lot for me to practice in...it was just a big street and some bike lanes, and a confused person (ME) who didn't even know which direction to look in for traffic. It was only because the owner and Miguel encouraged us, and told us we would be ok, that I even attempted to get on the bike. It was rough for a couple minutes as I felt I didn't know how to ride a bike and I didn't know how to drive on the bike lanes...I remember attempting to take the bike up on the sidewalk. But Miguel rode up next to me and encouraged me to straighten my bike out and try to pedal in the lane. Meanwhile my cousin was feeling the same internal pressure and she was about to give up a few hundred yards away. Boy am I happy we didn't give up!! I was shaky for a few blocks, and I was trying to get the timing right for the electric component, which I largely didn't use unless I was on an uphill situation. In less than five minutes I felt like a pro....we were cruising along on the bike paths following Miguel like ducks.... we are joined by another couple who were obviously in better shape and used to bikes, but to be honest, it was in my head, because within twenty minutes I was riding right up at the front as well as they were. They even laughed at the end and said they were worried at the beginning about us...but we faced our fears and concentrated and didn't let the pressure or unfamiliar territory get to us. For anyone that hasn't been on a bike in a while or is overweight, don't assume you can't do it. Give it a chance and listen to Miguel.... he will get you flying!!!!
So that is the bike portion of the review.... but that was just the tip of the iceberg....the places he took us...I can't even begin to tell you about the beauty and the pride he has in his city and the culture. I have been completely captivated by this city and the rich history and beautiful coastline. It is one of my favorite places in the world and I am in the process of trying to rent an Airbnb for a month so that I can learn to speak Spanish and possibly take some longer trips there in the future. I never would have gotten the feel for this place if I hadn't gone on this e-bike trip.... walking around the port area I would have missed all of what this city has to offer. Run!!! do not walk!!!! to the e-bike shop and take the risk!!!! You will be happy you tried!!!!

Really enjoyed the...
Really enjoyed the pre-walk history of Coruna. Great walk of Old Town through Merchant area to new financial district. Visit to the Nunnery and purchasing their home made cookies was extra special. Guide provided list of exceptional eating and drinking places to make our post tour excellent.

Wonderful tour of A Caruna
We had a wonderful 90-minute tour with Manus (sp?) for our group of four. In that short time, he made sure we saw highlights we never could have reached on foot while still getting us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. His English was excellent, and his personality, knowledge, and pride in the area really made the experience memorable. The meeting spot was easy to find, and his lunch recommendations were spot-on — yes, the octopus was fantastic!
