Do not take this. The tour guide never showed up. They never notified me. Another tour company had to help me. Not very nice!!

Very laid back! Loved our guide, Suzan!!! Perfect for a super, but compact tour of Sitka
Our guide was very personable and used our time wisely—she tailored the tour just for us. We left Sitka with a great understanding of the history and s wonderful “feel” for the people!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of info and interesting facts about the area. If he didn’t know the answer to a question, he said just that. He pointed out any wildlife that crossed our path, which on the day we toured were MANY eagles.
He gave great suggestions of places to visit in town once our tour was finished. We enjoyed it very much!

Over all it was a good experience. For some reason it appeared they were overbooked or short handed. Our guide was a young 20ish and he didn't have a lot of experience but he was knowledgeable and very informative. The speakers for the audio weren't working well and we had to keep telling him to speak up

This small group tour was wonderful. Our guide Suzan was very knowledgeable about all aspects of Sitka, and showed us many interesting places from the far north end all the way to the south end and the downtown area. She was a wonderful tour guide, well worth the cost of the tour.

Knowledgeable, funny and friendly tour guide! Nice small group tour. Downtown Sitka is great but if you want to add something more to your day this is a fantastic option! Lainey was so knowledgeable about the native wildlife, plants and history of the area. Highly recommend this as a way to get more out of your visit than just browsing the shops downtown!

Just that the tour is for information about the area and photographs of some of the natural beauty of the area … it was a great tour and guide was very knowledgeable. Would recommend the tour for others!!

The young man was new to the job but he was friendly and accommodating. He has to be less soft down for everyone in the vehicle to hear him when he is speaking.

This tour just kind of fell flat for us. We got to see the whole island of Sitka, but the guide didn't really get too excited about anything in particular. We always heard Sitka was a great destination, but after our tour, I wouldn't even recommend going there, let alone, taking this tour.

Lots of history for a small island. See some bald eagles.
The estuary was a cool example of how bear find food when the tide is high. Also learned about the fat bear challenge and thought that was great.

Viator’s small group tours do not disappoint. Tired of large tour bus options? This tour is a must do for Sitka. We had a total of 6 people in a comfortable van and Ryan, our amazing tour guide. We got to several spots and took amazing pictures. Highly recommend this tour.

The tour van can seat about 12 but our group was only 4. It felt like a truly private tour. We all had a wonderful couple of hours with our guide Hannah. She was very knowledgeable and personable. She answered all of our questions and gave us really good insight on places to checkout in town after the tour. We stopped at a couple of scenic views to take some photos. Hannah was great! The whole experience felt like we were just visiting a very well-informed friend not a rigid tour. 10/10

If you have little time to go out and explore Sitka, and prefer not to pay exorbitant tour prices by cruise liners, then this tour is a nice way to see the City and landmarks in the surrounding area. Our guide Suzan was excellent. She provided lots of good information and brought us to see beautiful sites.
