Itinerary
After morning pickup at your hotel in downtown Seattle, climb into your spacious vehicle and begin the journey to Olympic National Park with your guide and small group. Start with a ferry trip across Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island, where the journey begins.
The park features snow-covered mountains, temperate rainforests, and the majestic Pacific coastline. There are remote beaches, plus the country’s oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the greatest wilderness left in the United States, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Enjoy short, interpretive nature walks throughout the day. If there is enough snow for snowshoeing, the guide will bring all the necessary equipment. Itineraries vary based on conditions and which sights are at their best during your visit.
In between your sightseeing stops and hiking, enjoy a freshly prepared, organic picnic lunch. Beverages are also provided along the way.
Weather permitting, drive up to Hurricane Ridge for mountain views and spot wildlife and waterfalls along the scenic routes. Visit the pristine waters of Lake Crescent in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains. You may also spend more time among the forests and waterfalls of the Elwha Valley.
Finally, after a full day of sightseeing, return to Seattle.

What an experience! Our guide, Matthew, was the best. So knowledgeable and friendly. My 10 year old son loved talking to him about nature and science. We got to snow shoe in Hurricane Ridge. We were fairly prepared for the snow; but Matthew had anything we could’ve needed. Also saw Lake Crescent and hiked in the rainforest. Lunch was AMAZING, was not expecting a beautiful, catered lunch. It was a long day, but worth being able to experience Olympic National Park. Highly recommend, and felt so lucky to have Matthew as our guide!

Excellent trip. Marty was a wealth of knowledge and an all around enjoyable person. The park was beautiful and he took us to a variety of places to experience the environment. The lunch he brought was delicious!

We took the Olympic National Park tour for our last family trip before our son heads to college. We were hoping to enjoy something memorable for this special occasion and the tour exceeded all of our expectations.
Pickup was on time and travel to and from the park was smooth and easy. The scenery was breathtaking and unique; pretty much a photo opportunity at every step. The co-stars with the scenery were our guide Marty and his teammate Max. They were both incredible. We couldn’t have asked for nicer, more considerate, or more knowledgeable people leading us than these two. Once on the road, Marty provided great commentary along the way about the history of the areas, the indigenous tribes, and the personality of the cities were passed through.
In the park, Marty’s knowledge of the areas - from the lakes to the forest to the beach - the animals, and much more just blew us away. We learned a lot, saw lots of animals (including a bald eagle), and hiked to areas we’ve only seen on postcards. They provided plenty of snacks, drinks, a delicious lunch, and stops for restrooms and rest as needed.
It was definitely worth the time and the price. It’ll be a day our family will never forget. And for that we are grateful. Thank you for the memorable experience.

This tour was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a great day in Washington State. Marty, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable, easygoing, and a great manager: He kept everything on time while making sure we still got to see and do as much as possible. He talked a lot about local flora and fauna and made the day really interesting. We had a really nice little lunch at a beautiful spot and got to enjoy mountains, the forest, the lake, and the beach.

This tour was amazing! I was a bit concerned about doing it in the winter, but I absolutely shouldn’t have been worried - in fact I would recommend it. Our group was fortunate that the Hurricane Ridge road was fully open and the views from there were incredible. The whole day was enjoyable with a variety of walks and sights (mountains, forest, lakes, falls) and food and drink included. Our tour guide Marty (Evergreen Escapes) was just the best and clearly so passionate about nature, offering a lot of informative and knowledgeable insight throughout the day on various topics. He was also a safe driver and great company to chat with throughout the day. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

I had an amazing tour in Olympic National Park. The hikes were thoughtfully customised to match each guest’s experience level, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Every provision was delicious and of excellent quality. Evan’s deep knowledge of the park and genuine passion for his work made the experience even more memorable.

Our recent adventure into the Olympic National Park was magical! The weather was cooperative (mostly sunny) and the scenery was outstanding. We saw many different types of flora - trees, stumps, moss, bushes, flowers and several types of mushrooms. We also saw two beautiful waterfalls throughout our day. A huge shoutout to Marty our super knowledgeable and patient guide!
*Please make sure you bring many layers of clothing and water proof sneakers or shoes. Enjoy!

The first hike needs moderate skill and/or fitness, but beginners are ok after the first hike. The guide was very patient and explained which paths were good for each level.
Pat_W, Sep 2025
Views were spectacular. Lindsay was awesome. He led lively discussions and accommodated my limited hiking ability without compromising other tour members.
Steven_B, Sep 2025

Diverse and rich environmental experiences with good moderate exercise. Stunning and sublime views, scenery, flora and fauna. Informed tour guide chock full of fascinating information and insights all in the context of an intimate small group tour. Wonderful and highly recommended!

We had such a great small group! Evan the tour guide had us do introductions, and made all our interactions fun and informative. The park is beautiful, we were able to see a little bit of everything, lunch was fantastic and enjoyed the ferry ride. The rain forest was a highlight with Evan giving us facts about the trees and vegetation. Great day that I highly recommend.
Dana_L, Sep 2025
It was a long day, but the experience was outstanding. Matthew, our naturalist guide, took very good care of everyone in our group of five. Appreciate the small groups as well as the extra attention. Matthew was so knowledgable and personable during the whole. Loved having a pick-up at the front door of our hotel. That was great! Can’t wait to go to Mt. Ranier next time we are in town. Matthew, thanks again for everything.

Every tour i had at National Parks/Historical Landmarks /Nature has always been thru small group guided tour for years and I can honestly say this is one of the most comfortable and memorable getting closer to beautiful nature. It was made better by the tour guide Evan , who maintained his professionalism and accommodating friendly attitude without being annoying. Evan made sure everyone is treated equally and fairly without being disrespectful or intrusive. He made sure we take our time and enjoy the opportunities we have yet have all the bases covered. His knowledge was very helpful and you can tell he respects every one of us and avoids anything that could hurt or spoil our day. Being the only Asian in the group , I was comfortable and didn’t feel left out nor didn’t feel forced to either. It was indeed a great tour with the great scenery.

We had the absolute best experience on our Olympic National Park tour with Evan! He is hands down one of the best guides we’ve ever had. Evan was not only extremely knowledgeable about the park and its history, but he also had a wonderful way of bringing our group together so everyone felt included. He was organized, punctual, and kept the tour running smoothly while still making sure we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop. His positive energy and engaging personality made the entire day even more enjoyable. Evan is a very interesting young man, and his passion for what he does really shines through. Highly recommend taking a tour with him—you’ll be in great hands!

Matthew was very knowledgeable and kind. We learned so much during our excursion. Such a beautiful experience encompassed by nature and experiences that will never be forgotten. The biggest takeaway how nature is balanced by the simplest things. I want to come back soon and repeat this tour. Thank you

Marty was fantastic! He was incredibly knowledgeable and kept the ride engaging the whole way. I really enjoyed the small group size (only 8 people), which made it feel more personal. The snacks and drinks were a nice touch, and lunch was delicious. Marty was also very thoughtful in making sure the hike worked for all levels. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely beautiful time with you all! It was one of the best tours that we’ve ever done through Viator. It is well worth the money. Our small group became fast friends and we had the best time with our guide Elijah. He listened to the things we wanted to see and came through! We loved our time at Olympic!
Alex_N, Aug 2025
Fantastic tour! Our guide Hannah was so knowledgeable and gracious with keeping us on schedule but also making sure we got to experience all we wanted to see! Our group had a blast, would highly recommend!
Andrew_P, Aug 2025
We had an incredible day exploring Olympic National Park, and Marty was a big reason why. He was patient, thoughtful, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone in the group felt included. At every stop, he took into account each person’s interests and adjusted the pace accordingly. He also answered every question—no matter how big or small - with genuine enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the area.
He made fresh coffee for everyone on the ferry ride over - such a great way to start the day! Highly recommend this tour and Marty as your guide!

Could not ask for a better Olympic tour or guide (Matthew). Breathtaking views and scenery plus excellent, expert, friendly commentary from Matthew.
Sheeny_P, Aug 2025
Perfect for wanting to get a taste of Olympic National Park from one day in Seattle. Matt was an excellent tour guide and really went the extra mile both figuratively and literally.
One thing I wish I'd done is packed my water shoes/swimsuit/towel so I could've jumped into Lake Crescent.
John_P, Aug 2025
This is a first class experience! Our guide went above and beyond to created one of our best days in Seattle!
Katrina_R, Aug 2025
This tour was great! Matthew was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions about the area and then some. He kept things interesting and encouraged us to be a team as opposed to individual travelers. There were other great travelers in the group so it was nice to meet other people and we all had a great time. The stops were amazing. I would never have been able to navigate Olympic National Park on my own. I only wish I had done a longer tour so I could have seen even more of the area.
rick_g, Aug 2025
Benjamin was the best — we had the perfect group size of six and it made the experience very enjoyable. Not only did I get to check Olympic NP off my list but had a wonderful time doing so! Highly recommend this experience and again thanks to Benjamin for personalizing the experience
