Itinerary
After morning pickup at your hotel in downtown Seattle, climb into your spacious vehicle and begin the journey to Olympic National Park with your guide and small group. Start with a ferry trip across Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island, where the journey begins.
The park features snow-covered mountains, temperate rainforests, and the majestic Pacific coastline. There are remote beaches, plus the country’s oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the greatest wilderness left in the United States, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Enjoy short, interpretive nature walks throughout the day. If there is enough snow for snowshoeing, the guide will bring all the necessary equipment. Itineraries vary based on conditions and which sights are at their best during your visit.
In between your sightseeing stops and hiking, enjoy a freshly prepared, organic picnic lunch. Beverages are also provided along the way.
Weather permitting, drive up to Hurricane Ridge for mountain views and spot wildlife and waterfalls along the scenic routes. Visit the pristine waters of Lake Crescent in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains. You may also spend more time among the forests and waterfalls of the Elwha Valley.
Finally, after a full day of sightseeing, return to Seattle.

Our family had an amazing trip today to the Olympic National Park. Our guide was Marty and we throughly enjoyed the day with him. He was friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. In addition the company communicated exceptionally throughout the booking process and they were able to tailor the tour for our needs. The day will be a memory that we cherish forever. The ferry ride over, time on hurricane ridge, the waterfall and crescent lake are more beautiful than I could have imagined.

Claire was a great guide! She went above and beyond.. She gave us so many facts about the history of the beautiful Olympic National Park. Highly recommend..

We had a great experience with Evergreen Escapes at Mount Rainier, so we booked a second tour with them to Olympic National Park and this experience was also fantastic. Our Naturalist guide was Gia Le. She picked us up at the designated time from our hotel. The van was clean and stocked with food and drinks (water, juice). Gia was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We first took the Bainbridge Ferry from Seattle, then drove through a floating bridge to the entrance of the Olympic NP where we stopped for coffee and breakfast cake. Then we took a scenic drive up to the Hurricane Ridge. It was very beautiful there and we even took a hike to the top of the viewpoint. After spending good time we took a drive to Salt Creek Recreation Area where we had a delicious lunch, and sepnt a few minutes by the tidepool. The water views were great. From there we went to Lake Crescent and did a hike in the old growth forest (it was so nice there). Olympic NP is an amazing place where you get to see mountains, water bodies, lakes as well as old growth forest.
After spending a good time through the day we drive back to Bainbridge and took the scenic ferry back to Seattle. Gia dropped us off at the requested drop-off point. One thing we really appreciated about Evergreen Escapes is their small-group approach. Gia took everyone's expectations into account while planning the day. We wish her the best and we will definitely consider another tour with Evergreen Escapes in future.

5 Stars – Another Outstanding Day with Evergreen Escapes
After having such an amazing experience with Evergreen Escapes at Mount Rainier earlier in the week, we booked a second tour with them to Olympic National Park—and somehow they exceeded our expectations again.
Our guide for this trip was Claire, and she was absolutely fantastic. With a background in Marine Biology and Environmental Science, she brought so much depth to everything we saw throughout the day. It wasn't just a sightseeing tour; it felt like getting a personal lesson from an expert who was genuinely passionate about the region. Whether we were driving through the park, hiking through the forest, or taking in the mountain views, Claire was constantly sharing interesting information about the ecosystems, wildlife, geology, and history of the area.
We visited Hurricane Ridge, explored beautiful old-growth forests, and enjoyed some incredible scenery throughout the day. One thing we really appreciate about Evergreen Escapes is their small-group approach. Because the groups are small, there's flexibility to adapt the day based on weather conditions, timing, and the interests of the guests.
At the start of the tour, Claire asked if there were any specific places people wanted to see. I had seen photos online of a beautiful spot along the water and showed them to her, not really expecting anything to come of it. To my surprise, she immediately recognized the location and knew exactly where the photos had been taken.
Even better, after we completed everything already planned on the itinerary, Claire realized that spot was nearby and found a way to fit it into our day. She took us there, pointed out the best areas to explore, and gave us time to enjoy it on our own. It ended up being one of my favorite stops of the entire trip.
What impressed me most was that Claire didn't just drive us from place to place—she truly listened to what the group was interested in and went the extra mile to make the experience special. Everyone in our group loved the additional stop, and her knowledge and enthusiasm made every location even more memorable.
After two tours with Evergreen Escapes in the same week, I can confidently say this is one of the best tour companies we've ever traveled with. Their guides are knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure guests have an incredible experience.
A huge thank-you to Claire and the entire Evergreen Escapes team. If you're visiting Seattle and considering a trip to Olympic National Park, don't hesitate to book with them—you'll see amazing places, learn a tremendous amount, and come away with memories you'll never forget.

We had a great trip to Olympic National Park with Gia. She was very friendly and open to adjusting the itinerary to suit everyone’s preferences while keeping within the time we had available. This was our first group tour but it won’t be our last!

Really enjoyed this very personalized trip. Our guide Claire was amazing. We learned a lot and enjoyed the day thoroughly!
Kristine_K, Jun 2026
What a fantastic day! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour in late May 2026. Our guide was Lindsay, who was amazing - wonderfully upbeat and engaging, he kept our group on track so that we could explore several different environments of Olympic National Park while never making us feel rushed. I don't know how he keeps so much information in his head, but truly there wasn't a question about the history of the area, the fauna and flora, or life in the Pacific Northwest that he couldn't answer! While there was a lot of time in the van, the scenery was beautiful and Lindsay kept us well entertained; and each of our stops was stunning. Was also fun to ride the ferry and we enjoyed a delicious lunch surrounded by trees and bird song. I know the park really requires at least several days to fully experience all it has to offer, but this one-day trip provided a fantastic taste. So if your time is limited, highly recommend this tour. ... Thanks Lindsay!

Matthew was a wonderful guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to meet any needs or requests of the tour group. I am not a person who typically enjoys nature related activities but wanted to try something new. This trip changed my perspective on National Parks and outdoor tours. The lunch was wonderful along with drinks and snacks provided. A wonderful tour that allowed us to just enjoy the day without the planning. Matthew has a gift for leading these tours. Thank you!

Had the best time with Claire. The tour was well organised, and she kept the group engaged and informed through constantly sharing interesting bits and anecdotes. We covered a bunch of spots through the day and used the time effectively without making things feel rushed. Would absolutely recommend to someone who wants the diverse Olympic experience in a day!
Kelly_B, Jun 2026
Well planned and informative! The guide brought a homemade, healthy lunch for everyone. Guide also provided a couple of surprise attractions that were great! He was well versed in history, geology and nature/botany! Great engaging energy all day!

Gia picked me up on time in a nice, clean van. She was very cheerful, friendly, knowledgeable, courteous as well as a good driver. She picked up three other people and we all got along very well. Gia engaged all of us in conversations. She knew the route to Olympic NP and made enough comfort stops. The food she brought was excellent, we had a nice picnic in a camping area along the ocean. Hurricane Ridge was spectacular and we had enough time to gaze at the magnificent mountain range. It was a full day adventure.

Well worth every dollar. Calvin Moe was knowledgable, humorous and took really great care of us. He took us to see some amazing sights, snacks were varied and tasty, and the provided lunch was delicious and eaten in an absolutely gorgeous setting. I cannot say enough good things about this tour. My wife and I had the best time and were pleasantly surprised with how wonderful this tour was. 5 plus stars for sure.
Scott_C, Jun 2026
On the positive side, We saw some beautiful old-growth forests, and Calvin did a great job as our guide! On the neutral to negative, it was a long van ride, and there isn’t very much hiking involved at all.
KrishnaDeepti_P, Jun 2026
My mom and dad (both above 70 years old) went on this tour and loved it! Calvin was their guide and he was extremely helpful and courteous towards them.
Erica_M, Jun 2026
Gia was an awesome tour guide. We were able to experience all of the most Scenic views within the Olympic national park. My family had a memorable day that they will not forget .
Sheila_M, Jun 2026
Brent Mathis was a great guide. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and accommodating. He a genuine desire to please.
Becky_W, Jun 2026
One of the highlights of my trip to the Pacific Northwest was an incredible guided tour of Olympic National Park with our fantastic guide, Brent. His knowledge and passion for the park made the experience even more memorable.
Throughout the day, we explored the diverse beauty that makes Olympic National Park so unique. We wandered through fascinating tide pools teeming with life, admired the crystal-clear waters of Lake Crescent, visited the powerful Elwha River, and enjoyed the peaceful beauty of Madison Creek Falls.
The grand finale was Hurricane Ridge, where we were treated to breathtaking mountain views and some amazing wildlife sightings. We spotted black-tailed deer, marmots, and even a black bear in its natural habitat—an experience I'll never forget.
Olympic National Park is truly a place where mountains, forests, rivers, and coastline come together in a way that feels almost magical. I left with a full camera roll, tired legs, and a heart full of gratitude for the opportunity to experience such an incredible corner of our country.
Edilberto_B, May 2026
I enjoyed my tour. But I wish we could’ve done more walking. Regardless of that I enjoy my tour and had a really good tour guide.
Megan_R, May 2026
Gia was so great! Very attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. She knew a lot about Seattle too! Very happy with the tour ☺️
Daniel_C, May 2026
Our naturalist guide, Brent, was super knowledgeable about a broad spectrum of the history, flora and fauna of the park and it's surrounding area. He was very friendly and easy to talk to, as was the naturalist in training, Gia who was shadowing during our tour. In the time we had, we covered large swaths of Olympic NP. Hurricane ridge was magnificent, but, for me, the trails through the old growth forest felt like being transported to a different world and time. I would recommend to anyone looking to explore the park.
Kris_M, May 2026
This was a great tour. Brent and Gia were organized, communicative and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

What an experience! Our guide, Matthew, was the best. So knowledgeable and friendly. My 10 year old son loved talking to him about nature and science. We got to snow shoe in Hurricane Ridge. We were fairly prepared for the snow; but Matthew had anything we could’ve needed. Also saw Lake Crescent and hiked in the rainforest. Lunch was AMAZING, was not expecting a beautiful, catered lunch. It was a long day, but worth being able to experience Olympic National Park. Highly recommend, and felt so lucky to have Matthew as our guide!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hi Margaret,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! Matthew is wonderful and we're so glad you had a great time. We would love to host you again in the future!
Richard_W, Mar 2026
Excellent trip. Marty was a wealth of knowledge and an all around enjoyable person. The park was beautiful and he took us to a variety of places to experience the environment. The lunch he brought was delicious!
Danielle_D, Mar 2026
We took the Olympic National Park tour for our last family trip before our son heads to college. We were hoping to enjoy something memorable for this special occasion and the tour exceeded all of our expectations.
Pickup was on time and travel to and from the park was smooth and easy. The scenery was breathtaking and unique; pretty much a photo opportunity at every step. The co-stars with the scenery were our guide Marty and his teammate Max. They were both incredible. We couldn’t have asked for nicer, more considerate, or more knowledgeable people leading us than these two. Once on the road, Marty provided great commentary along the way about the history of the areas, the indigenous tribes, and the personality of the cities were passed through.
In the park, Marty’s knowledge of the areas - from the lakes to the forest to the beach - the animals, and much more just blew us away. We learned a lot, saw lots of animals (including a bald eagle), and hiked to areas we’ve only seen on postcards. They provided plenty of snacks, drinks, a delicious lunch, and stops for restrooms and rest as needed.
It was definitely worth the time and the price. It’ll be a day our family will never forget. And for that we are grateful. Thank you for the memorable experience.
Carrie_S, Mar 2026
This tour was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a great day in Washington State. Marty, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable, easygoing, and a great manager: He kept everything on time while making sure we still got to see and do as much as possible. He talked a lot about local flora and fauna and made the day really interesting. We had a really nice little lunch at a beautiful spot and got to enjoy mountains, the forest, the lake, and the beach.
Karen_B, Dec 2025
This tour was amazing! I was a bit concerned about doing it in the winter, but I absolutely shouldn’t have been worried - in fact I would recommend it. Our group was fortunate that the Hurricane Ridge road was fully open and the views from there were incredible. The whole day was enjoyable with a variety of walks and sights (mountains, forest, lakes, falls) and food and drink included. Our tour guide Marty (Evergreen Escapes) was just the best and clearly so passionate about nature, offering a lot of informative and knowledgeable insight throughout the day on various topics. He was also a safe driver and great company to chat with throughout the day. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

Every provision was delicious and of excellent quality. Evan’s deep knowledge of the park and genuine passion for his work made the experience even more memorable.
