Very knowledgeable tour! Family of 4 - Our 12 yr old had trouble paying attention but our 14 yr old loved it. Really appreciated Dee’s efforts to keep us in the shade too.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Gina, I so enjoyed having you and your family on tour with me earlier this month. We had a varied and enthusiastic group of folks on tour, and that is part of what makes my job so fulfilling! I hope y'all were able to find more fun activities after the tour, and that y'all had a great time travelling together. Please come back when you can! Cheers, Dee
helen_d, Apr 2026
In about 2 hours, Dee provided us with an excellent orientation to the city layout, history , interesting buildings and squares. His presentation was well paced and peppered with great stories and good humor. He made helpful suggestions for other places to visit in and around Savannah and also for places to eat. We highly recommend this tour and Dee -especially if it’s your first visit Savannah. We also greatly prefer small group tours to be able to interact with the guide and not drag around with headphones and 20-30 other people.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Helen, I so appreciate your wonderful words! You and Rob were great, and I hope y'all were able to discover some of those other sights and experiences we talked about. And yes, I do greatly prefer keeping my tours small so we can get to know one another, and that way I can tailor the tour more to my guests interests, of course. That can only be ascertained when we can have a conversation on tour, rather than a crowded lecture. Thank you for that insight, and sharing that fact with future guests! Please do come back when you can, and we will roll out the red carpet for ya! Cheers, Dee

Perfect overview of historic Savannah with a native, y’all. Easy walk at a Southern pace. A great introduction to the city, its stories and its vibe!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you so much for coming on tour! Yes, we definitely like to take it slow around here--the Savannah way! -Dee
Sara_P, Mar 2026
Our tour guide, Dee, was great — very friendly and knowledgeable. He had a lot of fun stories to tell about the history of Savannah. We thoroughly enjoyed the two hour tour.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Sara, you and Arne were just great to have on tour with me! The weather was beautiful, the town all decked out for St. Pat's, and smiles everywhere--this is definitely the best time to be here. I hope y'all found more sights and experiences around town while here (you may need to make Savannah a regular stop to fit it all in, huh?) We look forward to your return! Cheers, Dee
Elizabeth_I, Mar 2026
Experienced guide. He was friendly and interesting. He knew his history well, but also gave good general information.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Elizabeth, thank you so much for the positive feedback! I hope you enjoyed finding out more around each corner of Savannah as you continued your time here. Won't you come back soon? In the meantime, keep on travelling! Cheers, Dee

Response from Host, Mar 2026
Chris, and so enjoyed you and Eric! I do hope that y'all will come again sooner than later--I know it's a long way, but you know we'll roll out the red carpet for ya! Until then, keep on travelling and stay safe! -Dee
Jani_F, Feb 2026
It’s an easy, relaxing walk covering several important sites in Savannah. Guide was engaged and informative. I wouldn’t have minded covering more ground , possibly visiting the riverfront, but that may have been too much walking for some people.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Jani, thanks for coming along on tour with me! Yes, I do wish I could show you everything we have to see (that's A LOT!), but alas, there is not enough time to cover all of our sights. What that means is that you must come back again and again! Cheers, Dee
JONATHAN_S, Jan 2026
Nices squares and mansions. Guide had great tales of the characters from the past the events and planning of the city
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Jonathan, so glad you enjoyed the tour! Please start planning your next visit down and we'll roll out the red carpet for you! Cheers, Dee

A truly enjoyable and educational tour and perspective of the history of Savannah! Dee had such a wonderful knack with his storytelling and made it a great walk and talk experience.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Anne, you and Michael were so enjoyable--the best kind of guests to have on tour with your upbeat attitude and enthusiasm for all things Savannah! It cannot be overemphasized how important those are for our guests to bring. So, y'all made my job not only easier that way, but also so rewarding. Thank you for that! See y'all back again soon? Hope so! Cheers, Dee
Wendy_G, Jan 2026
Great guide, interesting!!! Exceeded our expectations!! Highlighted history, architecture, beautiful squares!
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Wendy, you and your family were just wonderful to have on tour! What a great time we had, didn't we? The other two folks on tour were also great. I know y'all had a great time travelling together as a family--what a memory-filled time you most certainly experienced, I'm sure. Please do come down South whenever you are able, and we will definitely have more for y'all to discover and enjoy. Southern hospitality is alive and well here, as you now know! Safe travels, and happy New Year! -Dee
Myrna_S, Nov 2025
Mostly historic district, and Forsythe Park. Plenty of interesting facts about the different homes and places we passed by.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Myrna, I so much enjoyed showing you and your family around Savannah! We had a large and awesome group on tour that morning, and everyone was like y'all--so upbeat and fun to be with. Please continue to visit here--we'll definitely roll out the red carpet for you! Cheers, Dee

Very relaxing and informative tour. Dee was very knowledgeable of downtown Savannah’s history and is very friendly and engaging.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Angelo, you and Ann were awesome! I so enjoyed getting to know y'all and sharing Savannah with you. Don't wait as many years to return this time, okay? ;) Your neck of the woods is just down the road, and Savannah awaits your return. Have a great holiday season, and take care! -Dee
Amy_B, Nov 2025
A lot of standing, but incredibly interesting. Our tour guide Dee was wonderful. We didn’t cover a lot of ground, but it was in depth with many recommendations.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Amy, so glad you got to check out the sights and food & drink establishments beyond that I recommended. It was so enjoyable having you on tour, and I hope Savannah will always remain a favorite travel destination for you! Cheers, Dee
Bruce_B, Oct 2025
Not technical-more anecdotal. Very personable and relatable, we got a good feel for the layout of the original part of town
Shelly_N, Oct 2025
Just wasn't too fun. We didn't see anything to interesting . Girls scouts house and houses . We walked around a square and basically listened to stuff I was not into. I wanted to have an excuse to go back to my hotel but, didn't .
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Shelly, I find it hard to believe that Forsyth Park, the Armstrong-Kessler Mansion, the Noble Hardee Mansion, the Mercer-Williams House and the story of "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil", Casimir Pulaski's story, Temple Mickve Israel, the Oglethorpe Plan, the history of Savannah College of Art & Design, the Scottish Rite Temple, the Andrew Low House and Girl Scout history, the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist and more--all featured on every one of my tours--was not interesting! Really? I think you may want to reconsider your travel to new places and your expectations on tours of those places. Also, a good attitude will do you wonders when you do that. -Dee
Jimmy_A, Oct 2025
We did a walking tour of Savannah with Dee, and it was excellent. He was super nice and funny, with tons of knowledge about the city. He showed us a lot of great spots and even gave us more places to check out afterward. It felt like having a friend give us a personal tour of Savannah. Highly recommend!
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Jimmy, thank you so much for the awesome feedback! I so enjoyed having you and Kelly on tour, and so happy that you had a good time. Hope y'all had enough time to seek out those places for afterward--if not, you must come back to do even more! I hope you two will have more great visits to other welcoming places. See you next time in Savannah, G-A! Cheers, Dee
Rad_A, Oct 2025
Dee was knowledgable about Savannah and he made the sights we visited come alive with a modern connection.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Rad, it was so great having you, Amy, and Savannah on tour with me earlier this month! Y'all were so much fun, and we had such a good group with us, didn't we? I hope y'all got to see more after the tour, and will be back again soon. Safe travels, and keep being awesome! Cheers, Dee
Angela_C, Aug 2025
De was amazing. Very knowledgeable about Savannah history and architecture which thrilled my architect husband. We ended up being the only ones on the tour, so De took his time and our tour lasted longer than normal, despite the heat and humidity. Highly recommend this tour and De as a guide.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Angela, it was awesome having you and Russ on tour with me! I especially enjoyed having an architect on tour to really get into that favorite subject of mine in more detail. Savannah certainly has such a wealth of amazing buildings, that's for sure. Please come back when you can, and continue your discovery and enjoyment on another deep dive into all things Savannah, G-A! Until then, safe travels! -Dee
Mieke_C, Jul 2025
Dee was very knowledgeable and friendly and provided an excellent tour. My teen and young-adult children noted this as a highlight of our trip to Savannah. Good mix of history, lore, architecture, art, culture, nature—all of our favorite things to learn about a new city.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Mieke, what a pleasure it was to have you and your daughters and son on tour! It was so nice having a family with me for a couple of hours of discovery that truly loved "soaking it all in". So glad, too, that you enjoyed the myriad subject matter, and that the tour added to your visit so well. Sharing that is what brings ME so much joy, as well! Keep being awesome, and I wish y'all safe travels together! Cheers, Dee
Kimberly_F, Jul 2025
I feel like the tour wasn’t worth the price. Some of the stops mentioned in the ad we didn’t even visit. Also our tour guide left us after only being 1 minute late. Our tour was on 4th of July and parking was tricky. We had to call to figure out where they were and it was just 9:01 our tour started at 9.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Kimberly, I am surprised by this review. You and Jamie seemed delighted beyond words during and after the tour--smiling and laughing the whole time, along with the other party of 5. We did NOT leave you--remember, we were just a few feet away from the meeting spot when you showed up LATE. The explanation in the tour description says to arrive 10 minutes EARLY, remember? Also, the Park, Armstrong-Kessler Mansion, Hardee Mansion, Monterey Square, the Pulaski Monument, Temple Mickve Israel, the Mercer-Williams House, Bull Street, Jones Street, SCAD, the Scottish Rite Temple, Madison Square, Andrew Low House & the Girl Scouts history, Lafayette Square, the Cathedral, Troup Square, the Jingle Bells Church, the Hamilton-Turner House, plus restaurant and museum recommendations weren't enough for a 2-hour walking tour for $25? I think you need to be more realistic in your expectations, and next time visit with a good disposition like EVERY other one of my customers! -Dee
Kimberly_K, Jun 2025
Excellent tour, guide was friendly and knowledgeable, we learned a lot about the local buildings and history of the city.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Kimberly, it was my pleasure showing you and Kari some of Savannah's many treasures! Like I had said to y'all, I want to visit your area again to see more of its charm and history. Let's trade places soon! ;) Cheers, Dee
Colleen_G, May 2025
This was a leisurely 2 hour walking tour through some of the well known squares and best known buildings in the historic district of Savannah, incorporating history and gossip in equal measure! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable with a good sense of humor, readily answering our questions and adding information relevant to our interests. This tour is a great introduction to the city, giving you many ideas and options to explore in your own.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Colleen, I'm so glad that you and John enjoyed the tour--and that y'all found some of the options for the rest of your time in town. (It is so challenging to narrow that down to a handful of options, so glad that the ones I gave you worked out.) I definitely enjoyed getting to know y'all for a couple of hours--one of the many benefits of my job is doing just that! And, yes, the "spicy talk" is definitely something we here in Savannah love to share! Hope y'all will return for more soon, and often. Safe travels, Dee
KAREN_T, May 2025
Lots of facts and historical stories, some of it more interesting than others. Very pretty scenery of Savannah. Tour goes rain or shine and we had a major thunderstorm, had to take shelter so lost about 25 minutes of the tour. But we enjoyed it.
Dodger32, May 2025
Dee was an outstanding tour guide. His knowledge and expertise were so thorough. I would definitely recommend Dee as your guide.
Response from Host, May 2025
Thank you so much for your recommendation! It makes me feel such gratitude that what I strive for comes through. Please do come back to town when you can, and continue your discovery here--there's so much more to uncover, that's for sure! Safe travels, Dee
Catherine_S, Apr 2025

Response from Host, May 2025
Catherine, I would welcome that! There's so much historical and interesting sights and stories here--it's truly hard to limit it to just two hours. So glad y'all joined me, and hope to see y'all back in town real soon! Cheers, Dee
lisa_S, Apr 2025
D was kind, patient and extremely informative. We had just landed in Savannah for our first time and I was able to find our way around the city and special spots we wanted to further explore after spending a few hours w D. Highly recommend
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Lisa, it was great having the two of you on tour, and a I know y'all must have had a grand time exploring more afterward as well! I do enjoy having first-time visitors on tour, too. That way, I see my hometown anew through your eyes--that never gets tiring! I hope that you two will continue to take many more trips together, building memories for a lifetime.
